Room was across from elevator that chimed when arriving, outside door was damaged. Reservations clearly stated 3 in party..room set up for 2. Had to call for towels, etc Double beds?? we're spoiled I guess hoped for queens. We were told about breakfast buffet, however we were not given coupons and had to pay 15.50 each..we weren't aware of this until we were ready to leave the restaurant and wonder if only the "full pay " guests were given coupons. Its not as nice and friendly as I had remembered.

Wish it would have been $10-25 a/night cheaper. Easy to find, great beds.

I have stayed at several Doubletree Hotels all over the United States and this one was the worst. When I had been looking for a hotel to stay at, Doubletree was my first choice. The pics showed the hotel as newly remodeled and current. In reality, the lobby and restaurant was the only new thing about it. Business Center was being built (not mentioned on the website), in our first room, the toliet exploded on me, we got stuck on the 17th floor for 30 mins. due to the elevators not working, the second room had a leaky sink so we were moved to a Queen Suite that had a terrible saggy bed, stains all over the furniture so you did not want to sit anywhere and a broken AC. We beared it out for our stay but made sure we were in the room as little as possible. The Trofi Restaurant that is there had terrible service. We went there on Saturday morning for breakfast and decided to order off the menu instead of the buffet - it took 45 mins. to get our food and there was a total of 8 patrons in the whole restuarnt. A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Theh staff was very nice and helpful and I am really not picky but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel.

Upon entering the hotel, my boyfriend and I were beyond impressed. We were greeted by friendly staff, and were promptly given our room keys along with 2 delicious chocolate chip cookies. The A/C in our room did not work correctly, so we went and told the front desk and they had it fixed by the time we returned from a quick shopping trip. The indoor pool was very nice, and so was the hot tub. Our favorite part of the whole hotel was the breakfast buffet and the pillows on the bed! We will definitley stay here on our next trip to Kansas...

We stayed here last year this time meeting up with some friends from Springfield. We meet to shop, swim and enjoy each others company. We did all of that and more. The swimming pool is great with awesome hours and is away from rooms so making noise isn't an issue. Both times we have been thrilled with our stay. About 5 mintues from major shopping and food! Great!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were wanting to have dinner then go to a local coffehouse to enjoy some music. We then spent the night at the doubletree in overland Park, KS. We enjoyed the room, the spa, and the pool very much. The warm cookies at check in were a nice touch. The room was nice and the way room entrances were arranged it made the hotel seem more private or secluded. Will do it again on some special occasion.

The cookie at check in. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was broken. The hotel on a whole was old and in dyer need of a makeover, the rooms were small and outdated, the pool was old and the hot tub didn't work. Would be better of staying elsewhere for the money.

I guess we expected too much, since it was a Doubletree. This is an older hotel needing updated. Lobby was very nice, so we expected the same of our room. Our room had a weird odor that came from the dampness in the room. No ventilation in the extremely small bathroom, and this was a suite bath! The king size bed was the only positive thing about our stay, it was comfortable. TV's were older and small. Bad setup for a suite! Check the weather before you decide to stay here, if you're planning on using the pool, when there's a chance for rain or thunderstorms, they shut their pool area down, because it is glass-enclosed. This would have been nice to know!

This is the first time I visited a Doubletree experience and it was very nice. We were only there for the weekend; but I got to see two states in one weekend. I accidentally went to Missouri not realizing that I was there. If I was going to a football game (NFL) this would be great hotel to book. We were very close to downtown Kansas City. We were very close to the freeway. Very quiet hotel. The restaurant was on the pricey side; but that was an experience. The room was very nice. They gave us a handicap room. So it was very big/roomy.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of our bathrooms had to be re-cleaned, but house keeping took care of it rather quickly. Breakfast was very good, but over-priced. Our children were 7.99 and at ages 2 and 6 barely ate anything. The adults were 15.99, about double what we would normally pay for just a casual breakfast. The kids loved the pool area and had a blast splashing around. Plenty of over-sized warm towels to dry off with. The best part was falling in bed at night. Everything was very comfortable and we all slept well!

Hotel blocked my wifi aircard and only offered me a fee for the use of their service. This is unacceptable.

The staff was very friendly. I would prefer to have wireless internet access in my room instead of using the lobby. Average hotel, needs some upgrades to the bathrooms.

The Doubletree Overland Park is very convenient to 2 highways. The room was very comfortable and spacious. I would recommend this hotel for business or leisure travel.

As you walked through the glass pathway passed the indoor pool to the fitness area, you could look out at the trees and felt that you were taking a stroll through the forest. How wonderful to experience such bucolic splendor in the heart of suburbia.
