While entering the hotel the lobby was quite nice and very inviting. When we got to the room it was spotless and made for a very comfortable and peaceful sleep. The entire wedding party that we attended got a hotel at Double Tree in Bakersfield California and the experience was one to remember! The only complaint and most annoying part of the stay were the unfriendly, lazy, rude, unknowledgeable bar tenders that worked at Club Odyssey. Never in my life have I ever seen such horrible service that left everyone with a bad taste and the impression that we inconvenienced the entire hotel for spending our hard earned money there. There was not even one drink request that these incompetent "bar tenders" knew how to make. I would never even dream about treating people the way they did and especially not to a wedding party. It was that bad. Every other aspect of the hotel was superb and that's the only reason I gave them a 4 star rating.

I can rent a room for the amount they charge fo a pet. I have stayed many times with my small pet, first time they charge, 50.00 for night due my small pet

Bathtub was slippery and my mom got injury. However, this hotel said that they don't have any responsibility for her injury, because they provided rubber mat. I felt that this hotel has very dangerous bathtub. Be careful at it.

Hotel was not bad no major features to rave about. I was over charged for a simple meal which the manager was able to fix right away. The food at the hotel was sub par nothing spectacular I expected more from a Hilton chain.

We called the day before and on the am of the day to confirm our reservation and get directione, yet when we arrived in PM they said they had given away our room and they only had an inferior room left. I asked for a mgr. "non available" I showed our Orbitz print out. "Oh the computer reservations are always wrong" said the desk clerk. We finally continued compalaining as you suggest and we finally did get our room. Not a pleasant experience...not happy!

The hotel had many amenities, refrigerator in room, etc. A very pleasant place for the quick visit we made to Bakersfield. Enjoyed the quality of the room and time at the pool.

They checked us in to an unclean room. The hotel was filthy. We were disgusted by Doubletree putting their name on this flea bag Hotel (should be Motel). Never stay again.

The beds were really comfortable. The hotel was in a perfect location, the staff was friendly and the rooms were very nice with comfortable beds, which was really important to me.

Friendly staff. Did not have wireless internet in rooms, only in lobby area. The hotel was adequate but was certainly not up to its claimed star level.

The room was fine. The locations of the rooms were very far away from the lobby. The parking at this hotel is inadequate. The hotel was sold out, the rooms are located in the back of the hotel and there was no parking in the back on either night we were there. The lobby/front of the hotel is at least 1/4 of a mile from the rooms. The second night we arrived back at 1:30 in the morning, no parking, walked to our room, keys had been deactivated, no house phones in the hotel, had to walk back to the lobby to get new keys and then back to our room. This took 30 minutes. The young man at the desk was not apologetic or concerned for out inconvenience. I would stay there again if I got it on Priceline but would not be happy about it. This is the first time I have ever been unhappywith the hotel on Priceline but it was more the circumstances than the hotel.

No. The room was dingy, staff was unhelpful, roll away looked like it was 30 years old and saggy. I was thoroughly unimpressed with the staff, the air conditioner and my overall time. The lock on the door was broken, we were placed in the older part of the hotel upon arrival. Though there were clearly three of us, we were placed in a room with one king bed. I called at 10:00 to try and get a roll away. No answer from the front desk. I called back later and was put on hold for 15 literal minutes. I put it on speaker phone and used my cell phone to call again. I was told that a roll away was $15, so I asked to be transferred to another room, instead I got a free roll away. That was nice. Air conditioner was unreliable, only two towels. I didn't like it.

The beds are great. First floor rooms are below ground, so to speak. This hotel was clean and the rooms are very nice.
