I must say that the DoubleTree in Asheville, NC is a very nice hotel. We were able to check in before 11:00 am with a normal check in time of 4:00 pm. That was wonderful for us since we were in town for a wedding later in the afternoon. The location of the hotel afforded us a stroll through a craft festival across the street and a nice lunch next door at Ruby Tuesday's. On the down side, I had requested a wake-up call for 7:30 am on our departing morning, and it didn't happen. It's a good thing that one of us awoke in time to return to our home at the appropriate hour. Other than that, all was well.

No extra charge for parking. Prefer downtown or more central city locations - this one was on a boring strip.

Not what I expected from a Doubletree and absolutely not what I expected for the price. This is a converted Quality or Sleep Hotel that has been re-branded as a Doubletree. The rooms are nice but the sound proofing is terrible. You can hear every noise in the hallways - even normal, quiet conversations. We had a connecting room and could hear everything that the people next door said, heard the hair dryers blasting, etc. So much for a chance to sleep past 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday! Look for a lower priced hotel close by and you will get what you pay for vs paying for a Double tree and getting taken. We won't be fooled again!

I am a professional traveler and have never been treated so poorly. The room was extremely dirty, the phone did not work, many lights were out, there was no refidgerator, the pool was broken, no one would help me with my extensive luggage, the front desk was extermely rude and uncooperative, they did not care about my concerns, the room service did not respond. Do not stay at the hotel if you want a quality vacation or trip.

It was quiet. It was very far from downtown Asheville.

Well built and maintained. Comfort through out the room. Our room was not ready until about 17:30 hrs. Except for the wait on the room, great!

This hotel was great! The lobby was welcoming when we walked in, and the front desk attendant was very friendly. The overall appearance of the hotel was great, and they even had bellhop service. There was a new addition to the hotel under construction, and they were transforming their outdoor pool to an indoor pool, but it didn't bother us. The hotel had a TGI Friday's in the hotel, which delivered to the room, and they also had other great room service. Although the price was somewhat high, the amenities were great, and it was a great experience for everyone.

Beautiful landscaping and convenient to Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village. Needs to be completely non- smoking. Breakfast was disappointing. Excellent location to explore Biltmore and Asheville. Easy to get to I-40 and to Biltmore Village with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Let me start by saying that I have stayed at many Doubletree Hotels throughout the country. I stay at Doubletree Hotels because I usually can count on a convenient location, nicely appointed room, fantastic service and great food. The staff was very nice, but the only other similarities with other Doubletree Hotels were the price, warm cookies and linens on our bed. The rooms were okay, certainly nothing spectacular. The hotel "restaurant" was a TGI Fridays, which was great for grabbing a quick drink with our friends before we went out, but hardly what I would expect for the Doubletree! Our "Dream Package" was 200 and that included a breakfast buffet at TGI Fridays-which was cold, underserviced and just not very good. Quite frankly, I would have rather gone to McDonalds down the street given the quality of the food. Last weekend I had the same package at a different Doubletree (for less money!) and we had a spectacular breakfast buffet spread with white linens on our table, live omelet station, top notch food and just a wonderful experience. The bottom line is that I just don't think this hotel should carry the name Doubletree. I think guests expect a little more when they see the name Doubletree and this hotel just does not hold up to that standard. I was really disappointed with this stay.

Conveniently located near the historic Baltimore Estate. Noise can be heard through the rather thin bathroom walls. The hotel exceeded my expectation for a 3 star hotel. Room was in good condition and the hotel staffwas friendly.

The location was just outside the entrance to the Baltimore house. The staff was very friendly and loved the starbucks coffee in the lobby. The desk chair upholstery was coming apart. Nice place to stay with friendly and helpful staff in close proximity to the Baltimore House. I would stay there again.

The staff was extremely helpful. The bath was too small & the a/c was loud & leaked water all over the floor. Though this was a nice hotel with a good location, the rooms were average size, the bathrooms were dated, and the a/c was loud and leaked water all over the floor. I do not think that a 3 star rating and $179.99 (advertise price) was accurate. The staff were very helpful and nice and made the rest tolerable.

The lady who checked us in was wonderful! Very accommodating! We were on the 1st floor. The closest ice machine was on the 2nd. It was a 10 minute trip. The staff at this hotel exceeded my expectations. I've managed a restaurant for Marriott before so I was aware of the standards the employees were held to. This was by far my best experience with any hotel I've stayed at in Asheville, and I came there often. I couldn't say enough good things about them. We were so happy there that we actually didn't even leave to go do anything until the next day when we checked out. It was a much needed time of relaxation and that was exactly what we got. Thank you!
