Location, rapid check-in, suite style, mini business center with free computer use (internet also). Light bulbs weretoo dim. This was an excellent hotel. Staff was extremely helpful, requests were promptly taken care.

Wow, what a great stay, metro is less than a five minute walk from the front doors. This makes the location great for sightseeing. Watergate complex (just across main intersection) has a few resturants, a grocery store, and a pharmacy. Next to Watergate is the Kennedy center with nightly free concerts, art exibits, and a rooftop terrace level with great views of the city. Head north towards Washington circle and there are more good resturants and a great bar called McFaddens. Front desk was always friendly, and the bellman/valet was extremly helpful. The suite was a perfect fit for our family with two bedrooms on opposite sides of the living room for optimum privacy. The only downside to our whole stay was that the pool closes at 8PM which was way too early for our 12 year old, and the parking was pricey at a night. Overall an excellent experiance and we will be sure to stay here again.

The suite had a big bedroom and living room. Very comfortable and can accommodate a family if you use the pull out sofa bed. Nice place to stay in DC as long as you don't mind taking cabs. parking is a lot less than at other hotels as well.

This hotel had friendly, helpful staff that were happy to help with anything we needed. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the tv's worked good. The bathroom was a bit small but it was clean. Our room was quiet even though there were a lot of people in the hotel. The hotel is a couple blocks from the metro which was very convenient. We flew into Reagan National and were able to easily take the metro to the hotel in probably 20 minutes. We didn't find many places to eat really close by but we found some nice restaurants maybe 4-5 blocks from the hotel. We were able to walk comfortably to the National Mall for sightseeing but again, the metro is a wonderful system (clean, safe and easy to maneuver).I would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful two-room suite. No restaurant or bar. We like Doubletree Hotels in general and so were glad to get an affordable room in this one so close to tourist sites in Washington, DC. The staff was especially helpful when we had a minor problem in the bathroom. Although there is no restaurant, the room service was timely, reasonably priced and good quality food. We would like to stay here again on another visit to Washington.

The front desk staff were very friendly and informative. There is no place to park and the rooms were smaller than I expected. Overall this hotel is nice. The staff are friendly, but the bellman is the valet and there is no parking so it is a slow process. The other problem is that the bellmen were older, which is lovely, except there was only one on staff at a time which slowed down service. The hotel was clean and organized. The full kitchen was lacking all the tools for an extended stay but for a short stay very convenient.

We stayed overnight to see some of the tourist spots . The hotel was immaculate, beds comfortable-especially in the suite we had. ( 2 queens and a pull out couch) . several blocks to the Metro but that is the best way around the city. The only drawback :inexpensive eating ( sandwiches, etc) was only available at a Pita Pit on campus of GWU several blocks away. Staff was very helpful especially with storage of our luggage and laptop after checkout. Finally, it was pricey- 25 to park -but since we only stayed one night- it worked well for us in terms of location, safety and comfort.

The stay in this particular hotel was disappointing at best. The hotel does not provide any parking; however, will gladly valet park your car for $28/day. We stayed in a room in which the air conditioning did not work the first night and we slept in sweat. We mentioned it the following day just to have the air conditioner still not working on a day that the temperature exceeded 95 degrees. I then found that there is only 1 vending machine in the entire 10 floor hotel; just to find that it too was not functional. I will never stay at this location again!

It is a converted older apartment building. So the rooms are big, most with kitchens & living rooms, though many have no view (you look out at the wall of another building). Different. It is in an odd location- next to a college campus but without many restaurants within walking distance. The elevators were painfully slow. The neighborhood appears safer than most in the DC area & the subway is a short walk. I'd recommend this if you want a kitchen or have a large group, otherwise look for something better. The cookies were nice.

Spacious suite with a full kitchen, luxurious bedroom suite and separate living room. Spacious suite with a full kitchen, updated appliances, current updated appointments and a luxuriously comfortable king bed. Located in Foggy Bottom on the George Washington University campus, a stones throw from Georgetown, the hotel was located on a quiet street. We had a wonderful time.

The Doubletree was great if you are traveling with your family to D.C. Close to the metro (best way to travel to D.C. sites) Pool is small and you need to plan to walk several blocks to find a restaurant or plan to eat in your room (grocery store is close by).

3 room suite is large. Staff was friendly. Must pay for parking@ $28/day. Nice hotel. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Hard to find without specific directions. Location in relation to tourist sites is out of the way but if you learn the subway system, getting around is easy. Located by the Watergate complex in the western part of city. Would stay again.

The staff was very nice. Not as expected. I've stayed at many Doubletrees and love them; this is a converted Quality Inn. They were doing extensive constuction in the hotel. It has a run down feel, and it does not appear to ever have the luxuriousness of a Doubletree. The rooms were very spacious and it has a nice kitchen.

Absolutely beautiful suite with a full kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom within walking distance of George Washington University! Housekeeping came knocking a little too early. I've worked in hotel management for nearly 20 years and I've traveled extensively throughout the U.S. I don't think I've ever been as impressed with a hotel as I am with this one. I arrived at noon expecting to wait until check-in time to check into my room. A very friendly front desk agent offered me an early check-in at no additional charge. I wasn't there for 5 minutes before I was checked in and had the keys to my room. When I opened the door to my room, I was delighted to see a beautifully decorated and very clean two-room suite with a living room, separate bedroom, and a full kitchen. My stay was quiet and comfortable and I slept like a baby. I checked out shortly before noon after reviewing my charges which were all correct and applied to my credit card. On my way out through the lobby, I gave my keys to a young female front desk agent who was just as friendly as the man who'd checked me in. Obviously, I can't rave enough about my stay and I'd recommend the Doubletree to anyone headed for D.C.
