Fantastic location. Subway, Times Square, Broadway and just about everything else right at your door step. We stayed with two children aged 2 and 9 and although there was craziness down on the street due to the July 4th weekend we were very comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. Only thing missing was a view of the square but that was found in restaurants and bars in the area. We have stayed in many hotels all around the world but this one was definitely one of the best locations. Would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Lobby and cookies. Elevator up to lobby and alittle small. I loved it and the room was spacious and would be good for business or family travelers. I will definitely be back.

My 14 year old son and I have stayed at several NYC hotels but we REALLY liked this one. They are doing some construction at the hotel but you never would have known it. We were checked in by * who was so nice. She handed us some warm chocolate chip cookies and welcomed us to the hotel. We were up on the 37th floor and the room was pristine. Mini bar, safe, microwave and 2 TV's, all the comforts of home. The view was breathtaking as it overlooked Times Square. I thought maybe the room would be noisy during the night, but we never heard a peep. We had breakfast at the hotel the next morning which can be a bit pricey but they have a nice selection to choose from. I did use the concierge services and they were very helpful. The ONLY complaint I would have was the drain in the tub wouldn't work properly. Everything else was perfect!

If you want to experience the essence of mid-town Manhattan, and the bustle of Times Square, this is the place. On other visits to NYC, we would walk through Times Square like a million other tourists. Since May 2009, there are tables and chairs in the center of the Square. One can now spend some real time there taking in all the sights...people-watching......and at night: the lights, THE LIGHTS.!!!! The hotel is 100 feet from the sitting area in TS. Sunday morning, I went there in my slippers, got a Breakfast to go at McD's, and relished all of TS. And if you need to find the bathroom, well....your hotel room is 100 feet away.

We were in the center of Time Square, and really liked the giitz, and the hustle and bustle of the location. We asked for a view of the city and we got it. We were in a corner room on the 26th floor and great views of huge jumbo-trons you see on tv and where they drop the new year's ball. .......No complaints Great location. We did not have to wait in line for the Empire Sate Builing or Statue of Liberty., We were also able to get on the Today show by just showing up at 7:30...............If it matters to you, the lobby of the hotel is drap and unimprsssive.

This was my second time to stay at this hotel. I have had a wonderful experience both times. This time I took my daughter for her high school graduation. It was a perfect place to stay for us to feel safe, close to the shows at night and perfect distance to the park, shopping, and the subway. Our room was perfect! Very clean and huge for NYC! I highly recommend this hotel.

All suites. Restaurant closed early; bar was in lobby only. Overall excellent stay. Loved the location and the fact all rooms were suites. Hope they send a brochure/postcard for discounts for repeat guests!

After confirming a late check in the day before (we were travelling with 2 young children from Los Angeles and arriving at Newark at midnight) they gave away our room. When we arrived at the hotel, they told us they did not have our room and in fact, there were no rooms available anywhere in Manahattan. A previous guest needed to extend their stay so they had to give away our room. They had absolutely no back up for us and our 2 small children. They did not have a plan but to throw us out on the streets of Manhattan. We pulled the couches in the lobby together for our kids to lay down on while we dealt with the situation. The hotel staff just stood there. We got on our cell phones for the next 1 1/2 hours trying to find a hotel. The hotel staff, at 1:30, told us they had a room for us at Kennedy airport where they would graciously provide a taxi for us. We were not about to spend another hour going back to Kennedy when we had come from Newark 2 hours before. We finally found a room somwhere close by . The next morning we had to go back to Doubletree since we had a deposit and needed to sort through the situation. They gave us our room that morning and apologized. To date, they have not compensated us except to give us a free night in the next year to stay at the Doubletree (which our kids are traumatized about). They do not return emails or phone calls. BRING A SLEEPING BAG BECAUSE YOU MAY END UP SLEEPING ON THE SUBWAY. THEY REALLY DONT CARE.

Excellent location, friendly staff, great accommodations. Did not have any negative experiences with the hotel. My travel group found the Doubletree to be excellent for its central location in Times Square, the very comfortable accommodations, and the very friendly and accommodating staff. We arrived to warm cookies and a pleasant greeting. I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

Great location, close to everything. We could walk to the Theatres on Broadway, Rockerfeller Center, Grand Central Station and Fifth Avenue Shopping! Easy to get a cab right in front of the Hotel. Rooms were clean and good size for New York City.

Its location was excellent. Hotel lobby and area on floor we stayed on were constantly dirty. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There, however, was food that remained on the floor near the elevators for over a day. There was further food on the 40th floor where we stayed for over 1 1/2 days. Staff walked by same and never cleaned up the food, including food trays. One staff member kept coming in the gym to workout while on duty and while wearing his uniform.

Would definitely recommend!!!! We have a 5 year old daughter and was alittle scared of taking her to NYC. She had a wonderful time and keeps asking when we are going back. We saw The Little Mermaid...absolutely a must see, it was wonderful!! Toys R US, M&M Store, Hershey, etc right there. American Girl, World of Disney, Build a Bear, Rockafeller Center within walking distance. The room also wonderful, after a long day of sightseeing the bed was sooooo cozy. We actually would have liked to take it home with us. Our room over looked Times Square and was so peacefull and quiet!! We would definitely stay here again!! To much to see in such a short stay!!!!
