Hotel was nice and very clean. As a female traveling by myself I felt I was put as far away from the front office and restaurants. I decided to skip dinner because i didnt want to have to get into my car at dark and drive all the way to the other end.

This spot provided for a VERY peaceful getaway. The room was large-ish and the bed was fantastically comfy! My fiance and I were thrilled to find so many wineries in such close proximity to this hotel. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a spot to stay while visiting some San Diego wineries, I whole-heartedly recommend this hotel.

Read all before you decide. Room was clean and the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to get the room dark and the temperature very comfortable which should have meant a good night sleep. However, we were awakened in the middle of our second night due to a large group of teenagers (chaperoned by teenagers) having a party in the room below us. Our third night wasn't much better as there was a drunk/angry man beating on a door and yelling obscenities on the floor below us. When his friend tried to stop him, he started insulting his friends wife and questioning (mocking) hotel security. Our last day I was hoping would be better before starting a long drive. NOT RESTED... Health Dept was there at check-out. Pool was not up to the proper chlorine level. PARTY OR REST ???

We really enjoyed the bed, soft lots of fluffy pillows. Prefect patio over looking pool area. They give warm cookies on check in. It was a really great experience and we will go back for a longer stay

As a couple with kids in college, we are once again traveling for two. For our first foray, this could not have been a more romantic place to stay! Beautiful grounds, QUIET, luxurious premium king suite and no one else around save for a few business travelers after the holidays. The king bed has five pillows and premium cotton sheets. The maid service is friendly and prompt; she even gave us several fluffy rugs for the bathroom/vanity area. There are two large armchairs to sink into and a small table for eating. We had a balcony overlooking the pool, and appreciated the fresh air from the rainstorm! We had an excellent rate through AARP Passport and felt very privileged to have the Doubletree Resort as our home away from home. After spending long days walking through the Wild Animal Park (only 20 minutes away), the Gaslamp Quarter, Old Town, Balboa Park museums and Mission Bay beach (in the pouring rain, with hot clam chowder at Anthony's afterward), we looked forward to a movie ( the tv has a nice rotating feature to watch either from bed or the armchairs) and a restful night's sleep in our room. We would stay here again the next time we visit San Diego in the romantic rain!

Room was clean and comfortable. Short walk to Albertson and other shoppings. Bigger mall is less than a mile away. But the hotel charges for everything: parking, fitness center and etc.

I liked the balcony and the free wifi. Rust stains in the bathtub, no refrigerator in the room. Freeway close, next to a shopping center. Very nice setting. Beds were very comfortable as were the pillows.

Location and large rooms. The grounds were lovely and the service was friendly. Faucet dripped and paying for parking at this location was silly. The hotel had lovely grounds, located on a golf course. The room was large the bathroom was nice with a separate sink from the shower. Each room has a balcony. I would stay here again.

This resort was wonderful. The friendliness of the staff started at the front desk and continued through the resort. The room was large, and well stocked with towels and coffee supplies. Buffet breakfast was delicious. We will stay there again.

The room was very comfortable and well maintained. I liked that there was plenty of sink space, and the room had a large desk to work at. It was easily accessible from the freeway, while still feeling tucked away from the noise.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. Dirty room (sheets and spider in bed) and horrible food. My room service order was wrong and the food was dry and flavorless. Upon turning down the bed I discovered hair all in the sheets. The hotel staff came and assisted me in switching rooms. My new room had a spider in the bed. The property is spread out so you may have to do quite a bit of walking to your room. This was incredibly inconvenient for me as I had 2 pieces of luggage and I was in heels.

They lost my credit card number at check-in se I could not express check-out. The non-smoking room definitely was not. Called three times to fumigate and each time the solution was only temporary. It still stunk when we left. Parking was $8 nightly when plenty was available. There was no complimenary continental breakfast as most hotels/motels have. We could hear our neighbors through the walls and floor. the in-room coffee was pretty good, but overall the place was an expensive second class resort.

The Doubletree Golf Resort in San Diego was very easy to find. It is right off freeway exit and right in the middle of lots of shopping and resturants. The room size was great with a very comfortable king size bed.

Beautiful lush green view of the golf course and pool and also a wedding was in progress which we could view from our balcony, we enjoyed watching. The pizza was the only thing that did not taste good, everything was good. Very nice and clean rooms and beautiful views, will definitely stay again when in that area.
