Dormy House aims to be a home-away-from-home and with its cozy rooms- mouth-watering cuisine- postcard pretty landscape and above all- unstuffy service and ambience- guests will wish this was their own abode. This converted farmhouse dates back to the 17th century and the light stone walls- discreet alcoves and log fires create an inviting atmosphere- which is enhanced by the warm but unobtrusive welcome from the friendly staff. The 44 individually appointed bedrooms inclusive of 8 new deluxe double rooms and 2 new executive suites are decorated in a quintessential English style and feature rich fabrics- carved headboards and plump scatter cushions. Enjoy the locally-sourced produce served in The Dining Room or al fresco on the new terrace; the gastropub menu in the Barn Owl bar is popular. Activities abound and include relaxing in the sauna and steam room- exercising in the purpose built gym- a round of bar billiards in the games room- swinging a golf club or mallet on the 9-hole putting green or croquet lawn or walking in the circular routes. Cheltenham- Worcester and Stratford-Upon-Avon are nearby; alternatively there is the beautiful Cotswolds countryside on the doorstep. Broadway and Chipping Campden are popular daytrip options. What are your breakfast options?: Full English breakfast is included in all our packages and served between 7:30 am to 10:00 am every day.
What transport is available to get around?: As we are in a solitary position the only way a getting about is by car, either personal or taxi. We can arrange a taxi for you during your stay. The nearest airport is Birmingham, a 50 minute drive by car and the nearest train station is Moreton in Marsh a 10 minute drive by car. Moreton in Marsh is on the Paddington Hereford Line.
Do you have internet?: Yes, we do have internet although not available in all rooms, but you can certainly use the main lounge areas. There is no cost involved.
