A great way to get away. If you are looking for just a place to get away and not deal w/ anything, this is the place.

Nice area of Palm Springs and close to shopping. Rooms were clean but needs updating. Needs a microwave in room. Enjoyed my stay. The rooms looked a little old but were clean.

I would not recommend this place to anybody, holes in the sheets, upgraded view room gave us a view of a roof, stains everywhere and they gave us a room with two double beds when we booked a king. The staff was not friendly at all and the location was bad.

I have no real dissapointment with the hotels, location and overall appearance. The only thing i was disgusted was with their food. I was in the hotel just to get away from the busy city of LA. I was very pleased with the hotel in general. The problem, I had room service for 2 days and was not very thrilled about it. I ate their chicken caesar salad that gave me food poisoning. I did not eat anything else in the area and wanted to stay in the hotel all day. I cannot blame anything else i ate, because i relied on the hotels food. The only time i left the room was to go to the pool. I stayed in the vacinity all day long. The food presentation was good, but it made me sick. Stay away from their kitchen.

Staff was not willing to negotiate for different room.

The Desert Princess is sort of stuck in the 80's. I did not find it to be shabby, but it does not have the sexy features that other resorts have, like trendy restaurants, a Starbucks or Seattles Best Coffee, or anything interesting around the pool - no cabanas, for example. There is a spa - somewhere down the road - which I didn't find. Also, there is no walking trail, and you are not permitted on the golf course unless in a cart for golf. So the things I like to do at a resort were not there. The Doral golf facilities did look nice, I can say.

I would have liked the music by the pool a little quiter - it tended to make people a little overexcited so they were shrieking, yelling to be overheard above the music, etc. Staff was professional and polite, no complaints there. Rooms are little run down for the cost - stained carpet and chairs, bathroom amenities a little on the cheap side again considering the cost. Location near north of town is windy with lots of sand blowing into the rooms so the sinks get silt in them - nothing you can do about the location but I like it less windy. Nice place overall but we won't be back becuase of the wind.

Price was great compared to surrounding casino resort spa hotel room prices. A desert gem. Refreshing to find a hotel with reasonable pricing compared to over-priced casino hotels.

Pretty good. Rooms was clean, facility was nice with good restaurant food and spa but overall this place is very expensive for what you get. Service was average. I don't think its really as nice as its charging for rooms, massages, etc.. Also this isn't a smokeless resort. Not that I minded but it seems they make a point of saying that and then don't really enforce especially in the pool area. also didn't like the fact they didn't want people to bring their own drinks into pool area. what kind of rule is that! Its a pool its not a bar so we brought ours anyway but seems greedy to try and push that. Didn't read about that at all when booking.

The customer service was amazing. The pool was freezing. The staff was super friendly. We had to check in over an hour early and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Since this was a nice resort we were worried that the staff might be snooty, but they were not at all! Very impressed!

I travel a ton for business and pleasure. Through all my travels, there has never been a staff that treated me better than the staff at the Doral.

Stayed at the hotel for Coachella. About a 20min drive from Indio. Nice place for the price with plenty of other Coachella goers staying there for the weekend.

The hotel lobby was pretty. The room was a handicapped room that was old. The faucet in the bathroom ran all night and the drains were backed up in the shower. The pool (although I found out was heated prior to my trip) was cold. Several guests commented on this without knowing that I too agreed!

We had a great room over looking the pool and golf course. We felt the price for the room is worth it.

This place was definitely a good value for the money. Not too expensive, decent location, friendly staff. Overall, great place.

Beautiful views of the mountains and golf course. The beds were not very comfortable. Hotel furniture and fixtures are very old. I like the older feel, but the beds definitely need replaced. The views of the mountains and golf course are breath-taking.The grounds of the hotel are nicely manicured. We did not eat at the hotel. Hotel charges a resort fee of $25/day. The valet parking was included in the resort fee.
