The Donatello is located 1 block from Union Square in walking distance of San Francisco's best shopping, gallery hopping and eating! We've been going to San Francisco for years and this was our first stay here. The hotel is small, but the rooms are relatively large. I usually travel with my own pillow, but I forgot mine and was pleasantly surprised to find the bed pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom could use a spritz of bleach in spots, but all in all was very clean. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to answer any questions we had. We would (and will) definitely stay there again!!!

Great location; close to Union Square, Chinatown, Market Street, etc., with easy access to cable car and subway transportation. Expected New York sized accommodations, but had a spacious room with couch & wet bar. Got a fantastic rate through [your website].

Stayed at the Donatello May 8th 2009, it was fantastic. I had stayed across the street at the Marriott for a few days, saw the rate for Donatello on [website] and thought $125 / day was worth the price to go check this place out. The rooms are big, california king size beds. The most stand out memory was the service of the people working there. We needed late check out, extra time, etc and this was all done to amazing attentiveness. Definitely recommend and will go back there again.
