Domus Sessoriana Hotel Rome

Piazza Santa Croce In Gerusalemme 10
Rome, Italy

Overview:
The location of the Domus Sessoriana Hotel Rome is very interesting: this hotel lies inside the ruins of what was once the Temple of Venus and Cupid. What is now a popular accommodation in Rome was once where state councils were held and where gladiatorial fights took place in the Amphitheatre. Now in its place is the Cistercian Vegetable Garden! Let’s hear it for peace…
The hotel is found at Piazza Santa Croce in Gerusalem 10 in Rome.
The property offers 60 rooms of various dimensions, levels of luxury and styles. Tooms contain handcrafted furniture, showers and baths, air conditioning and satellite TV. Some rooms contain vaulted ceilings and extra spacious designs.
The Domus Sessoriana Hotel Rome is separated into two sections. The Conventual Wing on the right, which is spread across three levels, includes the hall, refectory and some high-priced rooms. The Aurelian Left Wing occupies the area of the church and former Imperial Amphitheatre. This wing is spread across five floors and has an internal lift. The rooms look over various remains and historical monuments. Onsite there are also tennis courts, business rooms, and a free breakfast.

Just returned from rome today, some of the hotel staff not very pleasant could benefit from a lounge area as we were a large group. The area is a bit run down and some of the eating places more expensive than in the centre of rome.Four groups took taxis from trevi fountain back to hotel and were charged all different prices negotiate price first. The hotel was different but would not stay again either in hotel or area.

The hotel was nice until we came back from breakfast before checkout to find another family was now living in our room. The hotel decided to take all of our personal belongings, including our passports, money, etc... and move them into another room. It was before we were even supposed to checkout. This seemed very unprofessional and ruined my feeling towards the hotel. To make it worse the lady at the front desk did not want to take responsibility and blamed other hotel workers. She was also very rude whenever we needed help with something. The other staff members however were helpful, but were not around as frequently. Overall the hotel itself was a fun atmosphere, surrounding a church, but the unprofessional incident was unacceptable.

Very nice Hotel near to Bus Line 3 (50m) and Metro Red Line(600m). Very clean Hotel and very good service from the front desk. Breakfast typical Italian, plain and simple but there is always enough to take from. Every day the rooms are cleaned and you get fresh towels. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Super friendly staff that speaks excellent English. Great rooms and its part of a church that houses relics of the cross used to crucify Jesus Christ. Nuff said.

Domus Sessoriana provided a wonderful, quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome, but was still within walking distance (10-15 minutes) of the Colosseum. It is located inside a functioning abbey, and the attached basilica, listed in tour books, houses relics of the Holy Cross. The nuns maintain a garden, and the rooms on the back of the hotel overlook it. Can you say tranquil? Staying at this lovely hotel...with 20 ft high white-washed walls, cathedral ceilings, red tile floors...added a wonderful dimension to my first Rome experience.

Hotel was exactly as described in [your site]. Good Location, well kept, quiet, clean facility top that off with its incredibly friendly staff. Cold buffet breakfast could use a little more imagination though - but not a deal breaker at all. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend to friends.

Accommodations and furniture is minimalist. Must say that it is the "greenest" hotel we've ever stayed in. If you're willing to fore-go any type of luxury and are not planning to stay in your room, it's adequate.
