The staff were a little pushy but I suppose that was to be expected really. The hotel was in a really dodgy part of town, full of prostitutes (who looked way too young!) And there were groups of blokes hanging around who made me feel quite intimidated. I was glad that my fellow travellers were male because if i had to walk back from town to the hotel by myself I'm pretty sure I would have been mugged or raped! Really scary to be honest and I've travelled a fair amount.

Basic, but comfortable rooms. Takes about 20 minutes to walk from Keleti Pu, the main rail station of Budapest. Located in a quiet neughborhood. Conveniently linked to the city center by bus. Bath and toilets are separated from the rooms, but the facility is ok.

This is an o.k. hostel for young travellers who look for a cheap room and don't expect much. Breakfast ist o.k., the quality of the bed was not, at least for people above 35, like us.

We had a very comfortable stay in dominik Panzió. Price is according to service. Very nice young man in reception. Breakfast allright. cleanlyness ok and each day new towels. Is located near the city Park of Budapest, which offers very nice sightseeings. No noise at all, quiet surroundings. We felt very good. Recommended Paprika Restaurant was excellent.

Unfortunately this is not the best quarter of Budapest and most of the former mansions are almost ruins now which need to be renovated. In the street homeless, drunk people are lying around in their sleeping-bags.
