not a 5 star hotel but for the price very good easy access to the albert dock and the town centre

Small room adequate for the stag and hen parties that were obviously there. The shower/toilet is a small cubicle in the corner of the room so en-suite is taken to the extreme. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were lots of cats in the area as there was nowhere to swing one in your room.

We found the staff polite and very helpful. For the price we paid for three of us the room was a bargain and we couldn't fault it. Wouldn't want to stay more than one night though.

friendly welcome. Helpful staff. Room simple but clean and comfortable. Very generous breakfast (not included in my room price but very good value for money). Nice sitting outside overlooking the lagoon. Good secure parking.

Dolby let us downThe Dolby Hotel was let down by mixed customer service, a smelly bathroom, and a mattress shaped like a pitched roof - two nights of bad sleep marred an otherwise excellent break in Liverpool.

Dolby Hotel, LiverpoolI only stayed one night here. I was going to an event at the Liverpool Echo Arena. The hotel was in ideal location - about a 10 minute walk to the arena. It was also located about 15 minutes walk from the Albert Docks.The room was pretty basic but was just right for what was needed. The en-suite shower room was very small, but again ideal for what was needed.The staff were friendly and helpful. My only downside was that when I made the booking, I entered the time of arrival as 13.00. Even so, we still weren't allowed to check in until 14.30. Apart from that everything else was fine.

The hotel itself was value for money as it was only £40. However I had ordered what i thought to be a double room and on insepction the room actually had a bunk overhead. this was not really any problem, The shower and bathroom area was very small and cramped., which was a bit awkward with two people trying to get ready to go out etc. Saying this though my stay was fine for a very basic room, there were some nice veiws and the area itself was great for accessability to city centre and the dock area. Staff were pleasant. handy place just for an overnight stay.

Great budget accomodation Great rooms for £40 a time, small but clean and great view overlooking the water of the Albert Dock and only 5 minutes walk from the Liverpool Echo Arena and 10 minutes from fab shopping. Bit of a damp smell in the tardis like bathroom/wetroom buit like I said great room for £40. Gentleman at reception was very helpful and friendly, something you dont always expect in a budget hotel.

Ok but you get what you pay for.We had a 2 night stay on a Saturday and Sunday night. Obviously popular with hen / stag parties as loads of noise earlier in evening on the Saturday from people getting ready to go out, quiet on the Sunday. Room very small as expected, also very hot, the bathroom was absolutely tiny and could hardly move in it.

Thank YouClean, comfortable accommodation just a short walk to the city's attractions. I have stayed here on many occasions and found the staff both extremely helpful and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

not impressed at allThe room was of a small size. My wife is 6 months pregnant and they put us on the 1st floor. This made this difficult for her getting up and down the stairs (no lift is in this hotel)The bathroom was the size of an aeroplane toilet! And the shower pressure was very poor.Considering this Room cost me £60 for one night I did not think this was good value for money compared to a travel lodge or premier inn where the price would of been less and the standard a lot higher!

Nice hotel, expensive breakfast!Very nice, inexpensive hotel. Yes, the room did somewhat resemble uni halls but then for £30-40 a night you're not going to find somewhere much better. Few minor things, the list of drinks you can get at the bar in the evening is very limited, just 2 wines to choose from: red or white. I was also told that there was no ice and the customer behind me was then offered ice with her drink which confused me. The breakfast was also quite pricey, especially for a cheap hotel. When travelling on a budget, £5 is quite a lot for a few croissants and a bowl of corn flakes, with cooked breakfast rising to £8. The hotel was also very noisy on the Saturday night, resulting in my partner getting very little sleep. Overall though, the hotel was nice, the staff were very friendly, and I would definitely consider staying there again.

If you are looking for a decent, clean, no frills hotel, Dolby is perfect. 5 minutes walk from Albert Dock, 10 minutes to City Centre and bus/train stations. Rooms are small but have all you need.

The room is very small and hot. It was quite noisy and the toilet smells really bad. Others were fine.. Staffs are very helpful and kind.However the internet access is not good.

Sightseeing in LiverpoolThe building is modern and the rooms are small but clean. There are tea-making facilities and a hairdryer but no phones or fridge. Car parking is ample and free. Location is convenient for sightseeing and the city. Continental breakfast is excellent but evening meal was poorly cooked and unattractive. This is a good budget hotel with friendly, helpful staff but if you want luxury, go elsewhere.
