Do Elevador

In the Bom Jesus natural park, home to the most unusual water-powered elevator, built in the early 1900's and still operating today. This hotel is next to this fabulous monument, being in the heart of the Costa Verde, this hotel is particularly attractive because of its beauty and because is located within all monuments and places of local interest in this area. Braga city centre is 3 kms away and Porto, 40 kms away.

The exterior is traditional early 1900's resembles a large mansion.

Reception area are large and highly decorated with fine traditional furnishings, soft grey well Polished marbled floors, some fine traditional all leather chairs and fine furnishings.

The hotel bedrooms are extremely well decorated with fine period furnishings and fittings. There are some very interesting art nouveau pieces to be admired. The bedroom floors are natural Polished oak wood and there are some wooden beams on the ceiling to give a Pousada country style decoration.

The restaurant is equally well decorated in a traditional Manuelino style offering some superb traditional and international cuisine but the speciality of the houses grilled fish and meats. This hotel together with sopete elevator hotel are the finest in the area (members of the same chain).
