close proximity to beautiful beach.

We were upgraded to a very nice 1 bedroom suite. The office it across the street. Inconvenient. The hotel was very nice overall. Our reservation was screwed up, but they ended up upgrading us to a nice suite. We were a few feet from the beach which was nice, Not thrilled with the pools. I did not like the fact that we had to buy coupons at the front desk next door to get a drink at the bar. (all inclusive)

A storm had washed away the beach at the Dutch Village 3 weeks prior to our arrival. We had to sit on the grassy part of the Tamarinjn property the entire week, A tractor went back and forth the entire week bringing sand to the area where we were. The noise level was terrible. This was not a vacation! It was a night mare.

Located on south end of the large hotel area, so the beach is not the best, narrow & a bit rocky, but much less crowded. There are 4 smaller pools instead of one big one and they were never crowded either. With full kitchenette & very good supermarket located about 1 block away we saved a lot of money. Hotel staff were friendly & efficient, but golf cart tram to get to & around Divi complex were confusing (couldn't figure out where they stopped, when they ran, etc.)But after we stocked up on food & drink we didn't feel much need to explore the other hotels in the complex anyway!

Near the water. Good amenities. Hotel room was very poor. Hotel was overall a good establishment. Bad experience.

This place is very nice. I was upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom suite. Beautiful views, very nice room with kitchenette, living room, king size bed, lots of closets and a huge private deck. Nice pols and hot tubs, close to everything. Felt safe at all times. Late check out with no problem, housekeeping great, overall I have NO complaints.

I found the Dutch Village to be a great resort. The other guests and staff were very friendly and helpful. We spent quite a bit of our day time during vacation lounging by the pool more than on the beach because the pool was beautiful, very clean, and relaxing; although the beach is quite beautiful also. We also found the reservation desk for excursions very helpful and friendly. When I do get a chance to get back to Aruba I would most definitely stay at the same resort, I would highly recommend it.

I got stuck in Boston because the plane broke down and was unable to stay at this hotel.

Resort is conveniently located near grocery shops and self catering is refreshing if you are staying for an extended period of time. Like the pool built for each room cluster but only downside is that it is not very clean with lots of bird poo and feathers and iguanas hanging around.

Aruba was an awesome experience over all! Before I say anything about the hotel, the arrival at the airport was not full of people pushing timeshares! really nice to be able to get off the plane and not be bombarded. About the hotel now: well situated on the island, the over all experience was great. Lots of pools very close by, several hot tubs (one was right out our back door!), cabanas were always available on the super beautiful beach which is a minute walk from most every room. The beach is the best reason to go here, as it's quiet and secluded from other resorts and security keeps out people who are not staying at the hotel. The room itself was very nice, not too large but nice still. The bathroom in our room had shampoo and shower gel, along with hand soap and lotion. The kitchens are fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans and silverware. There's a cooktop and a microwave, so no baking while you're there! It also had a full size fridge, so you could keep several days worth of food/drinks on hand. There are several places to eat at the resort and it's sister resorts, but also the Promenade right across the street with awesome Euro dining. Get the surf and turf for dinner or have all you can eat Sunday Champagne brunch for $33 (per person). If you take the bus/cab to the High Rise hotel district, there are TONS of places to eat of every type of food desireable. Hard Rock Aruba is there also, classic as always. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; consierge was available until 6 to help plan your day. There were shuttles to take you to the sister resorts that were further, but you can walk from Dutch Village to Divi Golf resort and Tamarijn very easily. Also, the grocery stores are a short walk, and have a good selection of beer, wine, liquor and of course food on hand. We didn't buy any drinks from the hotel, just bought it at the grocery and took it with us to the beach. From Dutch Village, you can walk to downtown but it's a good walk, further than t

Excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast. A very nice hotel, but a distance from the port where we had to go the next morning to meet our cruise ship.

We had a wonderful time at the Divi Dutch. It was clean and only a minutes walk away from the water. Our room even had a view of the ocean. Maid service was wonderful. She even washed dishes left in the sink. The bathroom was small, but there was a larger dressing area, however there weren't any outlets in the dressing area for doing your hair. The full kitchen was wonderful. We bought some groceries at one of the 3 nearby stores to save money. Keep in mind there are no elevators so you will have carry everything up stairs. Check in and out were painless and the concierge at the Divi Village was very helpful. The beach right outside the Divi Dutch was OK. I recommend water shoes because there are a lot of rocks in the water. We never seemed to get out there early enough to get a palapa. The people staying at the Tamarijn seem to think they belong to them only. A short walk up the beach is a much nicer beach area. Much larger and no rocks. It was also nice having access to the other Divi resorts. The infinity pool at the golf resort is wonderful. We were looking for an affordable place to stay and the Divi Dutch met our needs perfectly. We would definitely stay here again however, I think it may be nice to stay in the high rise section next time as you are closer to many more shops and restaurants. We had to take taxis to get to the places we wanted to go. If you are looking for an affordable, quiet vacation, then the Divi Dutch Village is perfect for you.

Spacious rooms, located on a beautiful stretch of beach andkitchen helped to save on meals. Confusing and inconvenient, majority of staff was unfriendly. The room itself was great. We were visiting friends, so we really just needed a nice clean room. The room was very large and clean, with a balcony overlooking one of the pools and a full kitchen. However, staying at this hotel as a non all-inclusive guest was very inconvenient and confusing. The lobby to our actual hotel was down the road and across the street. Too far to walk from our room, so we were forced to rely on the hotels shuttle system which rarely drove to our remote corner of the hotel. To catch a cab into town we had to walk to the lobby of the adjoining Tamarijn hotel. To get a drink or or food at any of the hotel's bars or restaurants, we had to buy tickets at the lobby and were often treated rudely. Very frustrating. We finally just started going to other, nicer hotels during the day to sit by their pools and order drinks.

We were very pleased with our accomadations. For some reason we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite, instead of the Jr studio that we had reserved. It was so much nicer for us having the bedroom with our daughter along. The suite was very spacious, large living room, hugh kingsize bedroom, and a balcony veranda with pool view. You could tell the suite had been completely remodeled/updated, the kitchen, bathroom and furnished with new furniture. Ther were ceiling fans in all the rooms and the outdoor area too. Keeping it cool and breezy. We had a slight view of the ocean but spent most of the day on the beach so that was ok. It was within walking distance to the store which was great for my husband who did most of the shopping! You have use of all the pools in the Divi Village, the endless pool at the golf resort is beautiful. The maid sevice was excellent, moped and cleaned daily and fresh linens. Divi Dutch gets a High 5 !!!

The staff is very friendly, the room was kept clean. The room itself was very large. There are several big supermarkets within walking distance, with great prices and a large selection of fresh produce and packaged food. This allowed us to make the most of the full kitchen available in the room (had breakfast by the pool, and yes, we fed the iguanas). The hotel doesn't have a big stretch of beach, nor it the beach wide enough (high time almost eclipses it). There are a bunch of friendly iguanas hanging out at the pool, I didn't see any jump in the water though (but they'll beg for food if you have any). We rented a car so we drove to a different beach every day, mostly in the high-rise hotel area, where there were greater amenities, such as pool bars, live entertainment, recreation/gaming areas, etc. There is also a greater variety of restaurants there.

I went with 3 of my friends last year and when we first go to the hotel we were amazed!!! the pool was right in the back of our hotel along with a hot tub to sit and relax. We were also able to swim in the larger pool which was walkable distance. The weather there is phenomenon! There is always a breeze no matter how hot is it. We saved money by going to the supermarket and cooking back in our hotel. The bus is close by. EVERYTHING is JUST GREAT. I'm planning to go again with my boyfriend this summer. I'm so excited!! I can't wait.

Divi Dutch Village is a fantastic place to stay in Aruba! The room was beautifully decorated and I was able to upgrade to a one bedroom (supersized king bed with flat screen cable tv)suite!Closets galore so no stuff was lying around--always cleaned up--spotless bath with full tub and shower and plenty of vanity room--a full kitchen with dining table for 6--what a party we had--along with a living room and private patio. The location was a 3 minute walk to the beach! All amenties were provided and the staff was friendly. The place was very clean and the pools--how many were there---I think we found about 50% of them--all in superb condition--the beach was covered with white sand--and the Carribean Ocean was like a sparkling blue diamond---day after day! What a wonderful place to be!

Location, beach was rocky but ok, pool was nice. Shabby, no microwave, bed was terrible; TVs were small and did not work well.
