The Luxmore is located in the centre of town and within a short walk of all the shops, restaurants and amenities. Te Anau is the gateway to the "Fiordland" and so is a great place to stay and explore the famous world heritage sites of Milford Sound, Doutbful Sound and the Fiordland national park.

This is a great place to stay for those looking to explore the rugged wilderness of the Fiordlands area. The staff of the hotel have long experience in assisting guests on the numerous activist that are available in the area. The hotel is very popular with tour groups and individuals. SE0908.

A modern low rise concrete and glass building, a new wing has been built in 2006/07 adding an extra 92 new rooms. Large windows make the most of the great scenery.

Hilights is the main restaurant serving breakfast and dinner with great views to the nearby mountain ranges it has a seating capacity of 160 guests. Bailiez cafe and bar is located on ground floor with a street access as well as internal access. It is more informal and serve light meals and drinks.

The deluxe rooms are all brand new, the whole wing was built in 2006/07. The bedding configuration is Queen/Queen. They are spacious and all bathrooms are shower over bathtub. Facilities include Fridge, TV, hair-dye and tea/coffee making facilities.

The lobby has been rebuilt in 2006 providing a much larger area with attractive and comfortable seating.

10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 201 kms to the nearest airport (frankton).

What are your breakfast options?: We do have a breakfast restaurant available in the hotel. The restaurant is open from 6:30am until 9:30am. The costs range from $16.50 for Continental breakfast, $21.00 for a cooked breakfast and $25.00 for a full breakfast. There are also various breakfast restaurants in town that open from 7:00am. All of these restaurants are located on the main street of town which is the same street we are located on.
What transport is available to get around?: We are in the centre of town therefore everything is walking distance from our Hotel.
What can I do nearby?: We have Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound as the main attractions in our area. We do also have the Glow worm caves excursion which is available to be taken from the Lakefront. We also have a movie called Ata Whenua which is a 32-minute film on the sounds from a helicopter’s perspective, which includes a musical background.

There are a few helicopter companies in town for you to choose from to take some fly over Milford or Doubtful Sound trips. There is a jet boat ride available in town that goes for about 90 minutes which takes you on a scenic tour on Lake Manapouri where you can see some scenes from the Lord of the Rings sequel.
Do you have internet?: Unfortunately, we do not have internet in the rooms, but we do have two computers in the foyer which cost $2 for 20 minutes or $1 for 10 minutes. We also have wireless options available in the foyer; for these options, the guest just needs to find our hotspot and put through the credit card details on to the website. It costs $5 for an hour and there are longer options available on the website.
Do you provide parking?: Our hotel does have parking facilities on the premises. No on-street parking is required. There is no extra cost for this and the receptionists direct the guests to the correct parking area on check-in.
