I was before in others resorts of Disney and they have some in common. This hotel is nice but different. You feel relax and quiet. The rooms are nice just they are small if you compare with others resorts of Disney. My only complain was the process to check in and out. You spend almost an hour!!!.

A memorable stay. Family came to this resort several years in a row back when it was called Dixie Landings. Name has changed, but not much else. Service is excellent and quality and cleanliness of resort are also "top shelf". Only down-side is the daily cost, for just about everything, relative to what you get for that money. As with anything else at Disney, you will definitely pay an excessive amount for what you receive in return. Not that what you get is not quality (service, accomodations, etc.), but you do pay an excessive amount for it just because it is "Disney".

My family and I are frequent disney visitors. This was our first time staying on disney property and I was very unhappy. Housekeeping does a terrible job. They left dirty towels in the bathroom and didn't clean the counters or vacuum. Candy that I had dropped the night before was still on the floor. This trip was without the kids so my husband and I requested a room with a king bed. Our room had 2 double beds and my husband was very upset. After several phone call we were given a room with a king bed the next day. The food made us sick and was overpriced. The wait for the transportation took forever and was always crowded. I had to stand each time. If you're parents with a stroller you'll have to hold the stroller and the baby. And don't waste your time with the magical express from the airport. You will stand in line 30-40 minutes waiting for it. My next trip is with my 2 year old grandbaby in May. If I stay on disney property I will rent a car. I can't stand on the bus with a stroller and my grandbaby. I also informed the manager of my concerns. He said nothing. This visit left me with a tarnished image of Disney.

We thoroughly enjoyed Port Orleans Riverside and would stay there again. We were in room 9295 of Oak Manor in the Magnolia Bend section. The property was beautiful and our room was lovely. It was more spacious for our family of four than I anticipated. The beds were so comfortable that my one-year-old mattress set seems lacking. When I returned to our room one morning after forgetting something. I found three men with housekeeping staff in our room. One was cleaning the sink, one was spot painting the walls and the third had disassembled the air conditioner and was vacuuming it. I was extremely impressed. We received housekeeping service every day, but were gone every morning until 2 p.m., as well. The room was very quiet and I rarely heard a sound from neighbors. We were on the second floor, which was the top level for our part of the building. The toilet was very loud and I wondered if it bothered people below us. I would stick with the top floor if making a reservation again. I requested a nicely renovated room easily accessible to the dining areas and Disney's bus stop and that's what I received. We ate in the food court part of the hotel several times and found the food to be very good. (Of course, we were starving from all the walking, so that helps.) Especially enjoyed the pasta bar where you special order your dish, as well as the pizza and adult chicken nuggets. We accidentally left the car unlocked for at least one night, but found nothing missing. We also felt safe walking after dark.

The hotel was average to above average. Actually, we did not spend that much time in the room. However, getting from hotel to parks is time consuming. I was at Disney four years ago and I didn't remember spending as much time waiting for transportation.

We arrived for a three night stay from Dec. 7-10th. The room was beautiful and clean. The view outside our room was very pretty. LIttle did we know that there was a Pop Warner tournament going on. The first night wasn't bad the girls and their chaperones were pretty much contained. Hotel security responded quickly. The second night the girls were up screaming and carrying on until 1:00am. The next morning we went to the front desk and demanded to be moved to another resort. They were quite nice and advised us that security, the organizers and management were going to have a meeting to discuss the problems. They eventually moved us to Coronado Springs but gave us only a $50 inconvenience fee. We were quite disappointed considering the price of the room We feel they could've at least halved the price of the room due to our inconvenience for lack of sleep and our having to move all of our belongings to another resort. This is a very nice resort but in light of the response of management and Disney in general to appease us we will not be returning to this particular resort even though we had previously stayed their ten times.

Flew into MCO airport, easily found Disney's Magical Express, quickly whisked away to Port Orleans Riverside. Very easy to check-in. Walked to opposite side of registration to receive pass cards to parks. Walked quite a distance to see room. Beautiful grounds, though. Lovely view of river, too. Room was very secluded. Quiet! Very clean, 2 double beds, a trundle under 1, refrig, TV, iron and board hair dryer were near 2 pedestal sinks. A curtain could be pulled to make a dressing area, great as there were 3 girls and 1 man. I took a nite lite with me. Glad we had it. A small pool was near our room, a very large pool was a short distance away. A total of 3 bus stops on property. I had shipped (U.P.S.) our pop and snacks. Good on snacks, bad on pop. The food court has a cup to buy,. Can use for all pop and coffee you want during your stay. Did not know until day 3. Stayed 6 nights and enjoyed fass pass, hopper tickets. Loved Downtown DISNEY. Took boat there once. What fun! Went to French Quarters to swim. Cute pool! Everything was very clean, but I still used my Lysol on bedspread, doorknobs, etc. Day before we left, got bell hop service ready to come to room when it was time to catch bus back to airport. Well worth a few dollars tip , then to carry a great distance to registration area. Airport personnel on site to give tickets to depart at MCO! Again, don't have to worry about luggage, except carry ons. Every one working at Disney was very happy with their jobs, I have never seen anything like it ! Can't wait to do it again!

Nice landscaping and courtyards. Rooms are pretty basic, so I guess your paying for the name, landscaping, accessibility to store, food, and busing. I would stay again if I could get the room cheaper. The buses worked out pretty good. Most of the time I did not wait long. But if you try to go right at opening or closing time (of parks), you will have to wait. Overall, nice family resort!

My family and I stayed at the P.O. Riverside on a family trip to Orlando during Spring Break. We used the Disney Magical Express and arrived early in the AM after taking a red eye from AZ. Our room was not ready, but they held our luggage and carry on bags while we went to the Magic Kingdom. Everything was waiting in our room when we returned around 4pm. The room was clean and although not huge, had enough room for 4 people. We have a 10 and 12 year old, so we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room. We were gone at parks from 8am to Midnight most days. The resort has a nice main pool and dinning area called Boatwrights that has good food at fair prices, for a tourist area anyway. The room was cleaned well every day and the resort grounds were always being cared for and in great condition. Boat to downtown Disney area is a nice ride and buses to the parks come frequently. No monorail, as this resort is located by the downtown Disney area. If you a just looking for nice place to sleep while you spend most all of your time in the parks, like we did, then this is a great place for you. If you want to be closer to the MK and Epcot, have Monorail service and have a more full service hotel. Then you will want to stay at one of Disney's higher end resorts. We would stay here again, no doubt. Great "Disney bargin", more ammenities than the low cost "All-Star" resorts and not as hard on the wallet as the higher end resorts.

The service was impeccable, right down to the room service. Attention to detail was amazing. When Orbitz overcharged our reservation, hotel staff brought it to our attention and made an adjustment without us even requesting it.

October 2007. We stayed at Disney Riverside Port Orleans Resort. We had two room 4 adults and 2 kids 2-1/2 and 4 years of age. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We stayed 5 days and the rooms were cleaned on a very timely basis. I cannot say enough good things about the resort..kid friendly, quiet, relaxing, pool was wonderful, laundry by the pool was great. Food at the lobby was great also. We will for sure go back and spend even more time. The staff was very friendly also.

As a young couple we saved for two years for a 3000.00 one week stay. We made our reservation far enough in advance for a king size bed. Upon arriving we were told we had two double beds! The room was dressed like outback vermont. The bed posts were sticks! When asked for a change we were told we'd be put on a waiting list..we never got an apology or any kind of compensation.

This was my first time staying at Disney's Port Orleans Hotel and I enjoyed just about everything about it. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the grounds were absolutely lovely. Our room, although a bit small, was very clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. I'll be back!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. X at the front desk offered information about everything to make my trip a success. The room was neat and tidy and the staff extremely friendly. Available meals at the resort were also terrific - from sandwiches (that were excellent) to full meals. There was a bonus to beverages - buying a mug allowed refills for a fantastic discount. The bus stops were easily accessible and close making the travel into the Disney attractions very convenient.

My son and I went to Disney to celebrate his 13th birthday and my graduation from college. We really enjoyed staying on a disney property and the perks that came with it. In 2008 we stayed at a non-disney hotel, and it was horrible. But this year the transportation to all the parks was great along with the extra hours at the park. And the free transportation to and from the airport was a fabulous added bonus. Most of the staff at the Port Orleans was friendly and helpful. The rooms were tolerable clean (but I am unbelievably picky about germs!) The campus is huge and you have to be prepared to do A LOT of walking to get to anywhere. It is a beautiful campus. For the cost it was a good stay and a nice hotel.

Our family is a regular Disney traveler and this was by far the worst trip to Disney our family has experienced. The room was not clean, the furniture, fixtures were extremely worn and there were worms (yes, worms!) in one of our sinks one morning. We had marginal housekeeping at best - great at making origami towel animals, but not so good at replenishing drinking cups or general upkeep. In addition, we paid extra for a water view room and were put in a room under a stairwell - how this qualifies as water view I cannot understand. This facility also shares transportation with another large Disney resort and therefore it takes much longer to not only wait for the bus to arrive (you can watch as you stand at the bus stop at any park as all the other hotel's buses come and go usually multiple times and you are still waiting), but it also takes longer as the bus stops multiple times before you get back to your resort. On the positive side, there is water transport to Downtown Disney from this resort and the pool was nice, but those are definitely not enough to overcome the downside of this experience. For the money a Disney vacation costs, this was completely unacceptable and we will never book this location again.

We were there for relaxation and enjoying disney world. The resort was realy good, 4 star with nice boat access to downtown disney. Very much enjoyed the resort and its beauty. But rooms are 3-star level, not bad but not luxury of any sort. Old (and seemingly not clean) carpets and old everything. Servie was also 3-star, you wouldn't get much room service and if you happen to have a privacy sign on your door when the cleaning crew came, your room would not be cleaned that day. They would give you towels/soap and thats it. So choose, if you are ok with 4-star resort and 3-star room and service this is your place. Doesn't deserve the full price but if you get a discount it is a nice place.
