Checkin was very friendly and we had an awesome view of the castle and space mountain from our room. We were able to watch the fireworks from our porch. Room service was great too. This is a big resort but we were close to monorail, ferry, and buses. Great pool area. Rooms were very clean. Only complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable for me- I am probably just paticular about that though. Rooms were pretty quiet, only heard the neighbors in the mornings along with the horns on the ferry boat.

The Polyesian Resort room was very tired and need updating. Lights were very dim with yellow shades, making reading very difficult. One bathroom light was burned out. Bathroom floor needed serious mopping, but during our 4 day stay, a piece of plastic litter under the counter never moved. In looking at numerous housekeeping carts, I never saw one with any mops or floor cleaing buckets. After using up the initial stock of coffee supplies, we had to call the front desk to be re-stocked. Even after the call, future days were not restocked by the housekeeking staff.

I brought my granddaughter to celebrate her 13th birthday. Our room was beautiful and clean. Transportation was easy to use. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The pool was so nice as well as the private beach. You just can't go wrong with Disney.

I Disney Polynesian was absolutely great! The rooms had been newly renovated and were very comfortable. The pool area is just great for all ages. The monorail is very accessible for all to use. The beds were very comfortable and we upgraded to the concierge level which saved us a great deal on meals. The staff was suberb and very helpful. A great place for the kids and adults as well.

We stayed at the Polynesian from 10/1/08 to 10/12/08. The resort was absolutely beautiful. We took atleast 50 pictures of just the grounds...the pool, the beach, the landscaping. The location you can't beat. Easy access to everywhere. We rented a car which we really did not need. The buses & trains come quick. Never more than 5 -6 minutes ever! The staff was wonderful & helped us with every thing and more. We didn't shut our refrig tight one night & lost our milk, etc...I told the front desk & was credited $30. to our room. My son's birthday he got a baloons, a bday card signed by Stitch & friends and and autographed photo. One night it was raining pretty bad. We called the front desk & they picked us up in their golf like cart & took us to our rental so we wouldn't get wet. The staff were the most friendly people I've ever met. Again, the room & grounds were so beautiful & clean. We felt like we were in Aruba or Hawaii. Would definitly go back. Much better than the Grand Floridan in our opinion!

I am no clean freak but expect a clean room without sticky counters when checking in. The housekeeping staff left much to be desired in our long house. No large tip....no clean room! The CM's throughout the Poly were just OK. We had heard how friendly everyone was....the restaurants yes...everyone else NO!!! I couldn't help thinking I would have been much happier across the pond at the Grand Fl. as we sat on beach every evening. I wouldn't waste my money staying here again...it is dated even though remodeled and the only thing it has going for it is that it is on the monorail or you can boat to the Magic Kingdom. Not a deluxe resort by any means.

The room was clean and there were enough towels and toilet paper. Of course, having the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, etc. was excellent. From the last time we were here, about 10 years ago, the room was a little old; the bathtub had a little mold in the corners. The staff and facilities throughout the hotel, though, were fine. All the staff were very pleasant (as Disney should be!). It was unusual for the toilet part not to have a door (which was part of the vanity), but it was okay.

The Polynesian Resort is the best hotel in everything, from our beautiful room, perfect view of Magic Kingdom! to the customer service, room service to the delicious dining, Our family loved the pool area so much we stayed there the entire last day of our trip. We enjoyed the beach area. We recommend this resort! Very convenient to Parks. Watched the fireworks from our room balcony, that was a spectacular sight. The hotel grounds were clean. Our room was always clean and neat. Forgot something in room and it was sent to us in the mail.. Thanks! Best Resort!!!!

I wish I could tell you about the Polynesian. The way it actually was. The endless Seven Seas Lagoon. The infinite specks of coral we called islands. Coconut palms nodding gracefully toward the ocean. Reefs upon which waves broke into spray and inner lagoons, lovely beyond description. I wish I could tell you about the sweating jungle, the full moon rising behind the volcanoes, and the waiting. The waiting. The timeless, repetitive waiting.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Polynesian. It was our first trip to Disney with our son and we really had a great time. We completely forgot about work almost immediately. The convenience of the monorail was the best. The staff was wonderful. The tiki torches are enchanting. We really enjoyed both pools (the "volcano pool" and the "quiet pool"). The refillable drink cups for ~12.00 was the best deal going. On the down-side, I don't know that everyone would think the quality is worth the cost. We stayed at a reduced rate and felt it was well-worth the expense (at a reduced rate). Having the benefit of extended park hours was a big plus.Watching the fireworks from the hotel was better than watching them from the Magic Kingdom. It truly was a "magical experience".for us!

We booked hotel knowing it was pricey, but expecting a luxury-type hotel, which this it not. While our hotel room was clean and large, the hallway outside our room had crumbs all over the floor, which was not vacuumed our entire 5 day stay. The pool was nice, but the water slide we were so looking forward too, was much to fast and dark for my 4 year old. The Magical Express on our departure day was the worst and we missed our flight home. We were a few minutes late to our check in so they wouldn't check our bags. The bus was still there and my husband confirmed to the bell captain they we were to be on that bus, but then it left without us. Then when the next bus finally comes an hour later, they make four stops at other (much cheaper) hotels. The Pop Century was the last pick up and so they had a 25 minute ride to the airport, while our ride was an hour and 40 minutes. The Polynesian (as having the highest rates, should have the shortest ride). It was a nightmare. This hotel is not worth the money. Next Disney trip will not be at the Polynesian.

We upgraded from a garden view to garden view, Concierge service. It's the Hawaii building, just a great location in the middle of the property, an easy walk to the beach, pool, main building, and Travel and Transportation Center where you catch the monorail to Epcot. The beach and pool are big hits with our young children, at the Concierge checkin, they gave them buckets and shovels, which were well used. Snacks at the concierge lounge are wonderful, always fresh and very tasty. While we were there, we had breakfast and dinner at the lounge almost every day, saving us a lot of $ and time at restaurants, and allowing us some really nice relaxing time. Complimentary beer and wine were nice for the parents, "Uncrustables" and goldfish and gummy shark candy were good for the kids. The seafood chowder can't be beat. I can't wait to go back next year!

This trip was to celebrate my birthday.Loved it. From the moment my boyfriend and I arrived it was great. We had an early flight (8:30 am) and when we arrived at the airport we we escorted to the Magical Express. We were aware that check-in was not until 3:00 but we knew we could at least check in and get our park pass and check out our room later. Well, what a surprise when we arrived at the Polynesian we we greeted with no line and a wonderful desk clerk who not only completed the check in process with speed and a smile but told us our room was ready. :) A quick shower and fresh clothes as we had traveled all night and we were off to Animal Kingdom."I would highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a little bit of paradise at Disney World." Right on the monorail path or a quick walk to the ticket and transportation center., Fireworks visable from our balcony. We are going back December 2008 and have requested the exat same room. :) Can't wait !!!!

"The huge cost for this hotel is completely relative to the convenience to Disney. You don't need to drive anywhere and can ride the monorail to Disney within 10 minutes. Service is very good. Rooms, grounds and restaurants are mediocre at best. If you want superior quality rooms/grounds/restaurants, stay elsewhere. If you want convenience and to watch fire works from your patio, stay here."

We traveled with our 2 yr old and 9 month old baby. Proximity to Magic Kingdom and ease of pushing strollers directly on to monorail made for a great vacation. We stayed in Rarotonga and found it very convenient to get to restaurants and monorail station. We loved the beautiful hotel grounds and pool as well. We watched fireworks from the beach at hotel as it was too late for our little ones to stay in park.
