What a lovely resort! We were visiting some close friends in Orlando and decided to add Disney World to our vacation. This was our third trip to Disney World and the Grand Floridian is the absolute best place we have ever stayed in the Magic Kingdom. We enjoyed it so much that we are considering going back in December with our children and grandchildren.

We just returned from the Grand Floridian. Fabulous, beautiful Disney property. Expensive but well worth the money. On monorail so very convenient especially with children. Great restaurants...Narcoosie's, Victoria & Albert's. Victoria & Albert's (although not recommended for children) is a five star restaurant with stellar service and food. The wine pairing menu is wonderful. You have to make reservations well in advance and jackets are required for men. Although, they have some at the restaurant to use if you forget. I will warn you that the meal is about $500.00 for two, but well worth it for a special occasion. We've stayed at the Grand Floridian several times and plan to go back again soon!

I travel all around and this hotel is by far the best hotel I've stayed in in all of America! I don't want to leave when I come here and I always can't wait to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the hotel and I highly recommend it. The location, ambience, service, and staff were excellent and well worth the money.

Have stayed here multiple times. We are the type that typically go to the parks in the morning, pool and nap in the afternoon, parks/dinner in the evening, and sleep at night. For the most part, our rooms have been fine. Comfy beds and sofa. Three different pillows with different feels made it sort of weird to sleep. Comforter made it impossible to move when sleeping. Maids clean every day and provide new shampoo/soap and towels. Staff can be clueless sometimes. Two pools and one hot tub. Family pool and 24 hour general pool. Hot tub had a tendency to work and not work due to too many kids messing with it and no parents watching. Narcoossees/Citricos/1900 Park Fare are fine. Nothing that makes them truly unique since Disney has set menu items for most of its restaurants. Didn't have a bad meal. Hotel is the stop before Magic Kingdom on Monorail and Three stops to the TTC for EPCOT. You can take a boat to Magic Kingdom as well. Bus service is a different story. Typically slow. The person who runs the business center is never there, and is a lazy wench. We've seen her work there the past three years. Had to use the Contemporary's business center because none of the staff knew where she ran off to one day. The Spa is expensive but nice. Good massage. We go during Christmas, so we are hit the hardest with price. That's the reason why I have to knock the value down to 3. Otherwise an off-season day would bring it to 5.

PROS: -Check-In-We wanted to arrive early to get as much time at the Magic Kingdom. The GF allowed us to check in as early as 7AM and provided a secured placed for our luggage until the room was ready. Upon check in we were informed that we were being upgraded to a conciege level room. The conciege level rooms (levels 3 and 4 in the main building) allow you to have food, drinks, wine and champagne from 7AM to 10PM. Also, you have two full time private conciege desks to tend to your every need. If you can afford conciege level, I highly recommend it. -Our room was beautiful, newly renovated. Flat screen tv's, private bath seperate from marble topped double sinks, whamsetta bedding on two queen (not full) sized beds, private balcony, refridg., large ironing board, robes, dvd player, IPOD docking station, H2O plus spa products. CONS: SERVICE: All the lower level employees were wonderful (valet, bellhops, maids, servers). The people I was most dissapointed with were the conciege and management level employees. TRANSPORTATION: The GF does not have any private transportation. You must take either the monorail or disney bus to other resorts which can pose a problem. We wanted to go to Downtown Disney and it took 30 minutes to get there and 50 minutes to get back. I was so disgusted by this and if you are someone who does not like public transportation, get your rental or car out of valet and drive. NOISE: If you are a sleeper make sure you ask for a more private room. Even though the best rooms are in the main building they can be the noisiest. You can hear all the activites from the main floor in your room and the maid even comes at 8:30.

There was something for every family member no matter what the age. The rooms were spotless as were the grounds around the hotel and the hotel itself. It was worth the money!! Staff members were more then accomodating everey step of the way. I would highly recommend it. This hotel is luxury at its best!!

Wow, totally not worth the money! I must say I have been to Disney World and Disneyland several times in my life and never had such bad serves and unclean room! It started with checking-in and them stating that they do not have a King bed, although I asked for one. The manager then stated "What do you want me to do, kick someone out of their room?" The lady at the desk asked, "Where is your daughter going to sleep?" Totally rude! We then got our room that had two queen beds and there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, cracked tile and dirty old carpet. Also a strange humming sound all night and the toilet was broken, making a high scream everytime it filled up! No help from the front desk. They just painted over the mold and I left with a sinus infection and l think Disney has totally gone down hill! Too crowded too and it was suppose to be the off season. But don't spend the money on this hotel. We stayed at the Beach Club several years ago (2 years) and it was so much nicer!

I am just a normal everyday working person that can appreciate the niceties when they are offered, and they were definetly offered. We did not use room service (), but if we left a note for the room person- the needs were met. The pool is a nice size, with a hot tub nearby. Open 24 hours. We spent some nice quiet times, especially around 1100 p.m. The front office was more that accomodating- especailly when it came to the Disney passes, after we processed the voucher, they put those passes onto our door key (one less item for us to lose). I would go back there anytime, but it certainly cannot be to frequent- I would have to put in A LOT of overtime :)

The hotel is beautiful! The staff was very friendly. Check in was quick and easy. The rooms were not as large as I thought they would be, but I had already read this in a review so I was not disappointed. Great mattresses and pillows! Lots of things to pick from in the mini bar if you are in a hurry. We purchased our tickets to Magic Kingdom in the main lobby. It was fast, easy and was simply added to our hotel card key. The main reason we selected this hotel is the monorail access. It was extremely convenient! Although this resort is expensive, we were only getting to spend 1 night and 2 days in Orlando and we decided this was the best way to get the most bang for our buck. It was only about 15 minutes from hotel to park or park to hotel. Really cuts down on stress.

The Hotel was great. But what really put it over the top, was the Super Staff that are available to make your stay a great experience. I don't think they have one person on staff that is not happy to be there, and they pass this kindness on to the guest, making your stay live up to everything Disney advertises about being the Happiest place on Earth. Thanks online travel website for the great price, and Thanks Grand Floridian Staff for everything else.

"I need more space to write down my complaints about the bus tour driver who left myself, my girlfriend, and another couple at different resort after 10:00pm. It was our first time in Disneyworld and Your bus driver forced us off the bus and left us at a strange hotel. Luckily another hotel manager drove us back. When we told the story to a hotel manager Katie. She left it unresolved for the remainder of our stay."

"Quite simply, this was the best vacation we've ever had. The Grand Floridian was extremely opulent and comfortable, and it even smelled great. The staff wasfirst rate. The afternoon tea at the Garden View Lounge wastasty and elegant. The lobbywas awe-inspiring. Room service was friendly and efficient. The pools and the poolside service were thoroughly enjoyable. Finally, the monorail and other transportation provided was so effeicient that we did not need a car. Everything was well worth the expense.were "

"Is our 4th time in the Grand Floridian. We really like it, but we were very sorry to see during this trip, the lack of maintenance of the buildings specially the hallways, never vacumm during a week(Boca Chica). The room was comfortable and clean. "

I got engaged at the Grand Floridian over this past holiday season it was perfect. People come to the resort just to see the holiday decorations. You get what you pay for on this one... Perfection!!!

"We stayed at the what we thought was the top tier Disney hotel. Upon check in - the welcome basket we asked for wasn't delivered, our safe and hair dryer was not working. It took 2 or more requests to get the replacement items. NEVER use the dinning package - the server and cashier do not always take the dinning package card even though they are on the list for accepting the dinning package card. There were charges on the bill that were incorrect. Finally, for a simple question you got different answers from every employee. "
