very convenient to the Magic kingdom , just a ferry ride away. Full kitchen to save $ on food.Recommend to rent a golf cart due to distance from the cabin to the pool, tradingpost, and ferry landing

We traveled with 4 adults, a nine year old and my 2 year old who has special medical needs. Disney's Ft. Wilderness went out of there way to assist us. We were guided into shipping some of her medications and equipment prior to our arrival. It was great! The full size kitchen was a huge help and saved us tons of money! The resort is a wonderful place to still receive Disney attention, but unwind a bit from the hecticness of the parks. The pools were nice, the beach fantastic and transportation a breeze. Be sure to use Gardengrocer.com for free grocery deliverary. We ordered everything online, picked our date and time for delivary and VIOLA....our food was there and put away for us! We were even able to purchase diapers and wipes, charcoal for the grill, and laundry soap. These folks are nice to work with. The even called a few days ahead to confirm our order.

The cabins at Fort Wilderness suited us perfectly. Since it had a full kitchen we were able to save some money by fixing many of our meals.

Spent a quick, fun weekend at Ft. Wilderness (cabin) and the Magic Kingdom. The cabins are a fun alternative to hotel stays, with full kitchens and barbque grills. Plenty of room for our party of 2 adults and 3 kids. With the money we saved per night using an online company (compared to Disney going rate), we rented a golf cart and tricked it out with battery operated lights, which was non-essential, but fun to have. The kids enjoyed the $4 pony rides and visiting the animals every day. Boat ride to the MK is quick and easy. Didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes either way. Overall, high ratings for all the Disney fun, with an outdoor, community campground feel.

The Wilderness Cabins are great for family stays when you'd like less Disney mania around you and you'd like to have a kitchen! You pretty much HAVE to get a golf cart for convienence. We had lines at check-in- not sure why. ALSO- problems with Magical Express- bus 1 hour late!!! Housekeeping accidently threw out a bag (labeled even) that was supposed to have been sent down to luggage holding area. Beware of relying too much on the extra's of the Magical Express- and don't put up with poor service from the golf cart people- most of the staff was great. The setting truly is cabin-like- don't expect the fancy pools and get groceries at Super Target before you get onto the property if you can. There were some really bad grocery stores closer to WDW. It was VERY quiet- that was nice as we were there for the 1/2 Ironman triathlon and needed rest.

Fort Wilderness was excellent and the magical express was great!! The bus service was awesome. SKIP Hollywood studios it was boring and not worth the time, go to Animal kingdom for the most fun and interesting park!

this is a great hotel option for a larger family that will be staying for at least a few days in disney. the kitchen is great for saving some money on breakfast and dinner. the outdoor grill came in handy. i was not happy with the fact that the housekeeper did not clean the room.i dont knoow if we left to late 11:30 or if maid service isnt included at this lodge. the campfires here are great for the kids and for us also. good pick

my family took a trip to disney world over the summer and we stayed at fort wilderness. we have a small pop-up trailer. im not much of a camper, but i love this place! by the way, im 17, and my brother and sister are 19 and 14, so there was a bunch of teens. the bathrooms are ALWAYS clean! super clean! and they have a card system....like if you need to go to the restroom after 12 midnight, you have to use your card to get in. its really nice. and security drives around constintly. there are TONS of things to do when your not in the park. petting zoos, boat riding, swimming in their HUGE pool! plus tons of other things. there are buses that come to your loop, so you dont have to walk far. and the boat rides over to magic kingdom are cute. there is disney mania music playing to keep the kids entertained. we are now going every year and we will probably always stay at fort wilderness! plus the extra magic hours apply with them as well! its the whole disney resort experience with half the price!

"We love camping, but hesitated to stay at Disney because we hate ""resort"" campgrounds because they never have enough trees and feel like you are camping in a parking lot. This campground is spectacular. It has plenty of tall trees and vegetation so you still feel like you are camping, but the service, cleanliness and amenities are nothing like we expected. We love it so much that we about to take our 4th trip in 5months. Don't even have to visit the parks to enjoy your trip, they are a perk! Looove this place!!"

My husband & I stayed at this campground for the 1st time & love it.We will be back next yr.I loved the peaceful atomsphere and how far apart & wooded the sites were. The restaurants & general stores were great too!!We check out other so called RV resorts in Fl & they couldn't compare to Fort Wilderness.I would highly recommend this campground to anyone. We can't wait to go back next yr!!!

"Reserved 3 nights room only as we had park tix. Phone clerk flubbed taking full payment when limited to 1 night deposit. $600 of our money in limbo (owed room balance, yet money hadn't posted back to bank). 2 nights arriving late to cabins after parks, none of our 6 key cards worked (locked out intentionally?). Had to pack up tired kids to head to Outpost HQ for help both times. Long walks to bus and boat stops added to transit time, worth driving to T&TC from outer hotel. Good / extra magic hours. Bad / no compensation for troubles. Previous WDW resort stays fine but $$+."

There are lots of camping resorts but nothing compares to Disney Fort Wilderness Resort. An incredible place for families but we all become 'children at heart' in this Magical Place.Nothing tops Disney and this is a prime example. Bathhouses are spotless!!

I have been to Diseny many many times and decided to stay in one of the cabins here. The staff was very helpful in conferming my reservation for the Hop-de-do-Rview (def. recommend) and the rooms were inviting and cozy very seprate. MAke sure you are atheltic or prepare to rent a gold cart for your stay or take the inner transportation. Overall great stay would recommedn and return!

"We arrived in our RV, check in was a breeze, camp sites great, transportation to every where abundant. Even thought the campsites look close together it still felt secluded. we had a great time. Love the staff at the stables!!"

"We had a wonderful cabin that was like ""home away from home"" but with a camping atmosphere. Being surronded by the outdoors was wonderful, but love all the ""home"" stuff (like a kitchen and they did the dishes too!) Would have been nice to have a few more lights when coming back to the cabin at night, but other than that - this is definitely a place we would recommend again and again!"

Our favorite Disney accomodation. Love the full kitchen and separate sleeping quarters. The tranquility of the deck is wonderful after a day at the parks!

We have visted WDW resort 16 times and have stayed at Fort Wilderness the past 3 times. This is the best resort in the park. We love watching the boat parade and fireworks from the beach every night. Lots of activities at the camp ground. Reserve a golf cart before arriving on site. This is the best RV park in the country.
