Hubby & I arrived (sans kids!!!) at CSR around 10:30 am on Sunday. I'd faxed a request for a renovated Casitas room, preferably Building 5. The Castmember checking us in told us that we had been assigned a Cabanas room in 9B but it wasn't going to be ready until after 3pm. However, within 10 minutes we were on our way to Casitas 5, a renovated King room which had a parking lot view but was perfectly located on the corner down the hall from the elevator, directly next to building 4. No complaints there. Room was nice, clean, furnishings/bedding new.. who could ask for more! We seemed to be about 1/2 way between El Centro & Dig Site. But we ended up on driving to El Centro to fill up our mugs in the morning for the drive to the parks. And driving over to the 7B parking lot (which was empty because of the renovation there) for a shorter walk to the Dig Site. We rented a car so we didn't use the transportation but we always saw buses coming & going. We also never saw more than a handful of people at the stops. We didn't eat here other than one night when hubby got a $10 Panini from Cafe Rix, he said was not very good. The resident Alligator "Glen" was by El Centro every morning. We also discovered that if you leave CSR by the side gates (by the Convention center) and take a left onto Western(?)... there is a body of water to the right of the road... we saw another Gator there every morning, twice getting out of the water, once sunning himself. He seemed a bit bigger than Glen. First time in 12 trips to WDW that we'd ever seen Gators out & about! Hubby is a smoker so we have some insight to the DSA situation. The smoking restrictions was in NO WAY mentioned at checkin. It may have been in the stuff I signed but definately was not pointed out. DSA's seemed to be all around, never a far walk & very pleasant scenery (unlike at work when they put you out by the dumpsters). We didn't see too much abuse of the smoking restrictions, a few really early morning balcony smokers. A

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice. there was a pool right outside the room. and the main pool stayed open till 5am. my 10yr old broke her foot prior to us leaving and the hotel made sure we had a room that she could get around in and provided a wheel chair for her to use during our stay. food prices are high at the hotel and at the disney parks suggest you get the meal plans that disney offers. overall i would stay at this hotel again

It really depends on what you're looking for. I choose this hotel because of the moderate price, the extra services offered and that it seems less family/children oriented because of the convention center. I was on vacation with a friend and didn't want to be surrounded by families and screaming kids. There are definitely pros and cons. You often don't really seem like you're at disney world and we often had the buses to the parks to ourselves during the day. On the downside to this, one night after coming back from extra magic hours at 2am, we were harassed by two dunk guys, not really what you expect at WDW. Other things to consider is that it is a HUGE resort, if you don't enjoy a hike to your meals, bus stop, and pool, then don't stay here. I love to walk but even I started to get a little tired of it. Most of the staff were really helpful and friendly but some of the night staff at the Pepper Market (food court) would barely acknowledge the guests and seem annoyed by questions, the morning staff and the waitstaff at Maya were much more helpful. I loved the theme of the main pool, the landscaping and most of all, the hammocks on the mini-beach. I stayed in the cabanas, which is what I would suggest, which is the tropical theme of the resort. The best part of this resort is the quiet, I sometimes felt like I had the place to my self. I would definitely suggest this hotel for adults, but not so much for families with young children or anyone who has difficulty getting around.

The landscaping and outdoor scenery including fountains, flowers and the lake are really beautiful. The complex is huge, and it can be quite a walk to get from your room to the lobby - so keep that in mind if you are adverse to walking long distances. The rooms themselves are ok. They offer everything you need, but with no bells or whistles. They are a decent size, with a small dining table, but no WOW-factor here. Internet will cost you $10 a day. The food options at the hotel are OK, Rix Cafe is nice for a drink.

Our stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort was great, the hotel room was clean and cleaned very well every day. The beds were soft. The Resort was clean and well kept, the lobby was beautiful. The Laguna bar out by they lake was a great place to unwind after a long day of visiting the resorts. The food in the Pepper Market place is overpriced but you have to expect that in a Disney resort. The resort transportation was convenient and easy to use. I would stay there again.

We had stayed in the past at the Caribbean Beach Resort and decided to try this one since the other pool was under construction. Come to find out that the slide at Coronado Springs was under construction. Hotel is spread out and a long walking distance. Our room was FILTHY with mold and mildew all over the bathroom. We left to go to the parks and came back at 5 to find that our room had still not been made up. The food is way overpriced and not very good at all. Would never stay here again. The only plus to this hotel was the transportation to/from the parks.

This is the first experience in this venue. Room very comfortable and clean. I was unable to obtain in-room internet access (as published), able to go to business center to get online. Price for food was high and not palatable. Unable to go to other disney sites for meals. Took a taxi in area, approx 20 mile trip which cost 45.00---too expensive for me for 2-3 meals!

This is a GREAT hotel! It is very spread out, but if you are there for the purpose of visiting the Disney parks...who really cares if your room in clear on the other side of the resort? We were there Feb. 7-10th. You are able to check in at 6:30 in the morning, get your resort ID, store your luggage and be on your way to the Disney Parks via their free bus service! You can't beat that! When they say your room will not be ready until 3-5 p.m. that day...they mean it. We kept calling and it still wasn't available at 2:30 p.m. We didn't call again until 5 p.m. and it was ready for us. We had a King bed in the Cabana section. Very nice updated room. The bed was very large, fluffy and comfortable! We had some breakfast items that we brought with us, and used the refrigerator. We did go have breakfast in the main building. It was a good breakfast and you are charged ala carte. As for the bus service to Disney, the resort had 4 Bus Stops so one would be near your vicinity of the resort. Let someone else do the driving. The BEST part of staying at the Disney Resort is getting the extra "Magic" hours. Magic Kingdom closed at 9 p.m., but with our resort ID card, we were able to stay until midnight! (Extra 3 hours.) Some "magic" hours are 1-hour early before the park opens. The "magic" hours are posted on the Disney website. I suggest planning your day around those. Easier to access 2 parks in one day, with Magic Hours.Near Disney Downtown also!

easy disney resort, all transportation to parks is quick and easy. Hotel is beautiful with Santa Fe feel. Beautiful grounds with lakes and pools. Kids love the water slides with resembled Atlantis in the bahamas. Rooms are clean with sitting area for eating. Meals at resort are a bit pricey, but typical for a Disney resort. Perfect stay

The check-in was ridiculously slow. We were first in line and it took FOREVER!! The line started forming. They were very very slow, talking to each other instead of doing their job. They were unfriendly. The valet was on some inside joke and so extremely rude, we didn't use them-meaning the guys inside near the front desk. The guys outside where you check your bags were very nice. The pool was great, though it would have been great if the snack bar stayed open a bit later. Or the bar. Great for kids, though. And the rooms were very clean. We liked the location. People complain about the long walk to their rooms, but I found everything close. I walked the entire property and even if you're on the other side, the walk is great and I didn't think a big deal at all!

Beautiful place. Kind of has a convention feel to it. Kind of un-Disney like. The updated rooms are GREAT. The food court (Pepper Market) is bar-none the larget rip off I have ever seen! The food is ok but the prices are rediculous!! Get the Disney Dining Plan folks.

You get what you pay for. We have stayed here a couple of times, usually 1or two nights. The pool is great and the grounds are nice. Coronado is located close to the Magic Kingdom. Like anything else in Disney, you need to re-search what is good for you! The value was great and the pool bar was excellent an dthe rooms were clean. We will return aagain in April for one night and then on to another hotel. As far as the bugs, they come out every year, not much you can do....perhaps smoke a cigar :)

We enjoyed the resort, but never really got to spend time at the resort. We never used the pool and only once ate at the food court. We had a limited time at Disney and all the time was to be spent at the parks. This location is accessed by bus, which was always prompt, but it still seemed like we were too far from the parks. We have stayed at the Contemporary and the Wildness cabins. We were spoiled by the monorail on the Contemporary. This resort is really large, I think I prefer a more compact building and closer amenities. Would have been good if we were there a week or more, not for the 2.5 days we were there.

We recently just got back from Orlando, Dec. 23 - Dec.28 2008. We had a wonderful experience!! The rooms were clean, Maid service was great, clean towels every day. Pools were crystal clear. The grounds were well kept and beautiful!! Do not listen to all the negative remarks. We had no problems, however I realize some things are not always perfect Thats life people!! Get over it!! We paid double what you would normally pay because it was Christmas time, But that is the only time we could go. If you go in January or February it will be much less!! so what a bargain you will get!! Disneys Magical express service is a great way to go if you do not want to rent a car! Just plan on spending alot for food and drinks. Did not want to come home to Ohio. Can't wait to plan next trip to Florida!! HAPPY TRAVELS TO YOU ALL!!

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas and had a wonderful time. We also took my parents and they loved it too. The rooms are beautifully decorated and kept clean daily and the staff was so very helpful and warm with anything we needed. Considering it was the Holiday, it was not as busy as I thought and everyone seemed to be in the spirit. The property is large and surrounds a lake that is about a mile around, so depending on where your room is you may have a bit of a walk to the food area or main pool. Check in was fast and even upgrading out unused tickets to no expiration at the front desk was quick. The food service and quality was very good and things were kept clean and full at all times. I can't wait to go back and stay again!!

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort was a little of a let down. The staff was great, surrounding areas lake and landscaping beautiful. My only dissatisfaction was the room.

The rooms are very basic and slightly dated but serviceable. The grounds/pool are great but some of the rooms are far from the main building/restaurants. This hotel, in my opinion, is a good value as far a Disney goes.

This is the second time we have stayed at this resort. We liked it much better the first time. There was an odor in the room when we first arrived. The sheets had someone elses hair on them and the service was not of the Disney quality we had enjoyed on our last visit. Overall the trip was about the kids and they had a great time. The pool area is great and X is not bad. Next time we think we will upgrade our accommodations for the sake of the parents.

The Disney Coronado Springs Resort was an excellent resort - rooms were ample size with well-appointed decor. Restaurants offered many options. Hotel allowed early check-in so we could leave to enjoy the Disney Parks. We would certainly stay here again.
