Very helpful staff. Check in and out fast. The room had a refridgerator which was great. A microwave would be a plus. Rooms were clean. Easy access from road. Just a walk to Fridays to get something to eat was simple.

The best feature of this hotel was the front desk hospitality and the clean rooms and very comfortable beds. I enjoyed it and it as very peaceful. Thank You

The best feature about this hotel was the swimming pool, the management at the front desk, and the concierge staff. I loved the garden. I loved the concierge. There was fruit at the front desk. There were lots of pillows on our king size bed, a better blanket, and a quilt cover. Our room had a refrigerator, coffeepot and hairdryer. Everything was GREAT!! Thank you.

Nothing. Hotel clerk hardly spoke English and our bathroom toilet was literally dirty I had to use a towel to wash it with soap. Overall dissatisfied with cleanliness and appearance of common areas of the hotel.

Location! It was perfect to be near my family that we were visiting. I was able to visit with everyone and not spend the time driving. Everyone was very nice and my room was nice and clean. I will be staying here again next time. Thank you.

The Diplomat Motor Inn was an old style motor inn that was under renovation. It's location was the main reason for our stay as it is not far from Long Beach. Ours was one of the newly refurbished rooms. It was tastefully decorated, clean and functional. The bathroom was separate from the vanity area, both adequately appointed. There was a larger, flat screen television. While the mattress was very comfortable, the biggest dissapointment by far was the wafer thin pillows. Seriously, spend a couple bucks for some decent pillows. It really affected what would have been a great night's sleep. I would definitely bring along pillows if I was to stay there again.

Upon arrival at the hotel, I requested to see the room before check in as the surroundings looked shabby. My husband and I were directed to a room in a building UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! in the back parking lot. The room was dusty and inhabitable. We were then directed to a room in the older building that was equally shabby, musty and unclean looking. We had to go look for another place to stay. The Inn is below any standard for the hospitality industry.

The Diplomat Motor Inn was ok but needs to improve in their room amenities including providing a wider option in the make up of their breakfast. For business trips the location is exceptional though this may be relative.

Outside of hotel is under construction - very messy and noisy.

Overall stay was very nice. The room was quiet, and I liked that about this property. It was situated away from the road and in a safe area.

Front desk service fine. When we got to our room, our non smoking room had not always been a non-smoking. The shower had mold. Advertised as less than 10 miles from JFK, but a 20 min ride with no traffic.......

Comfortable rooms with very friendly helpful staff but it was still undergoing major enovations during my stay. Supposed breakfast is minipmuffins and bagels with luke warm coffee and warm juice. Myself and at least three other guests had to change rooms due to flooding. The new owners seem knowledgeable and aggressive and once construction is completed the motel should be nice for a bussiness traveler.

Convenient to JFK and beaches. We had to wait for our daughter's flight arriving in JFK and this was the best place we had - excellent stuff, good location, good access to beaches and restaurants.

The staff was excellent. The rooms were very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Very nice property.

I really enjoyed the remodeled rooms. The bathroom was stoned tile, and the tv was a huge flat screen. The room made me feel like a princess. However the hotel staff lacked, they seemed inexperienced and had no clue how to get to and from their hotel.
