I had a lovely room overlooking the canal, it was a very good size room (for a european hotel). The bed was nice and comfy with clean crisp linen. The breakfast option was poor and I don't think this is worth the 12.50 euro extra.

First impression of "lobby" and self service elevator for baggage should not put one off. My room ..205.. was a very pleasant surprise. It is a large room with Queen bed, desk and chair, lounge chair, and 3 large windows overlooking canal. Dressing area with sink, nice wide counter for 'stuff' and big closet. Toilet and shower are in separate room. Included Breakfast was very plentiful with fruit, cereals, coldcuts, rolls, and eggs can be boiled to your liking in a unique pot. Europe is very expensive against the Euro right now, so the multitude of restaurants just around the corner of all price ranges was a welcome convenience. The canal is at your door, the tram stop is at your door, and I walked to all sights....canals, museums, shops, whatever. Location couls NOT be improved upon. As a single traveler, the strict security at entrance desk is very welcome. Staff very helpful when you need taxis, maps or whatever. Plain decor, but very, very acceptable....who stays in their room when the sun is shining in Amsterdam?
