Diggers Tavern and Motel Bellingen

The Diggers Tavern welcomes everyone.
Our accommodation is motel style with 12 rooms of affordable accommodation. All rooms have ensuites, reverse cycle air-conditioning, TV and tea & coffee-making facilities.
The Tavern is open 10 am Monday to Saturday and 12 noon Sunday until late.
Featuring a large Public Bar, Lounge/Entertainment area, Bistro and Beer Garden.
Other facilities include ATM & Public Telephone.
Full bar service with a large range of beers.
TAB facilities with large screen Televisions for racing, Sport and entertainment.
Lounge/Entertainment Bar
Huge screen projection TV for sport, entertainment and Video Jukebox
2 Pool tables plus electronic games.
Live Music on selected nights.
Beer Garden
Comfortable garden setting with street access.
Great spot for lunch or dinner.
The Bistro offers mouth watering affordable meals in a relaxed atmosphere dining in, or outside in the Beer Garden. For a quick snack enjoy our selection of burgers (from $6)* and fresh garden salads with yummy homemade dressing. For something more filling you wont go past our tender Rib Fillet Surf `n Turf ($26)*
We also have a selection of delicious Pasta meals and great Blackboard Specials.
We welcome children and cater for private functions on request.

The Diggers Tavern is located in the main street of Bellingen opposite the Shire Council gardens within easy walking distance to shops, markets and restaurants.

Bellingen is a small rural community situated southwest of Coffs Harbour on the Waterfall Way between the coastal town of Urunga and the Dorrigo plateau, 15km off the Pacific Highway.

Bellingen Markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month directly behind Diggers Tavern.

Hire Clubs & a cart for a round of Golf at the picturesque Bellingen Golf Club on the banks of the Bellinger river.

Take a short drive to the Promised Land at Gleniffer and swim in the pristine Never Never Creek.

Only a 15minute drive to patrolled beaches (Weekends & School Holidays in summer).

A 30 minute drive to Coffs Harbour.

Day trips to Ebor Falls and the Trout Hatchery, or Dorrigo World Heritage National Park & Sky Walk west on the Waterfall Way.

Coffs Harbour Racing Club host many meetings during the year including the Coffs Harbour Gold Cup in August. A free bus operates from Diggers Tavern on both occasions.

Hire a canoe from Bellingen Canoe Adventures and paddle the beautiful Bellinger River.

Full Moon & Champagne Tours are not to be missed.

Each year Bellingen is home to many festivals and events including: The Jazz and Blues Festival, Global Carnival, Flamenco Festival and Camp Creative.
