This is a lovely place to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The fresh baked bread greeting you every day is a delightful touch and the penguins are just divine. I was dissappointed in the meal delivered by room service. It was cold and looked and tasted unappertising. It was also nearly one hour late after the time they told me it would be delivered. Very poor for one of "the finest dining establishments" by reputation, in Bicheno. Otherwise the cooking facilities in the apartment are excellent and the quality toiletries a nice touch.

Excellent service. Wonderful facilities. Fresh bread was baking in our room when we arrived. Restaurant food was fabulous.

Great location and views from room. Pengiun rookery at beach area with tours available at night (extra fee). Self contained and very comfortable. Levely fresh bread cooked in bread maker in room. Lovely food at restaurant.
