The grounds are beautiful. The room was a large suite with a balcony and partial ocean view, but the decor was blah, and the rug had several noticeable stains. There is a small kitchen area with fridge, which is great to cook for yourself and save money. The front desk made a small, fixable error with my reservation, and they upgraded my room to make up for the maybe 15 minute wait I had to endure before checking in. The lobby has an impressive waterfall and koi pond. The resort was not crowded and I had no wait to check in. The restaurants looked beautiful. The beach is about 4 blocks away. I walked it one day, and drove another day. That's a small issue when you get to pay less than half what the hotels below the Diamond are charging. TIP: I went to the Grand Wailea resort for a spa treatment.... HIGHLY recommended. The pool at the Diamond is small, outdoors, and not impressive compared to the Grand Wailea, but overall I'm happy with the value of this place. I wouldnt stay here for a honeymoon because its a little too disappointing for that, but I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who doesnt want to pay through the nose for the same area as the fancier resorts next door. The staff were very professional and polite.

Loved the hotel, incredibly serene villas with beautiful views. Stay here if you want to truly relax and enjoy time with your travelling companions (no children were around and wouldn't recommend this place for families as there isn't much for kids to do). Staff was very helpful but did not hover. Japanese-style spa was unique treat. Rooms were not fancy and could be updated, but absolutely enjoyed feeling like we were only people there (they were 80% occupied), listening to the birds and watching the sun set with a glass of wine. Definitely recommend it for a relaxing or romantic, no-fuss getaway.

The walk from the self park to your room is beautiful but long. I would like to see the valet parking moved to self park. Expect to walk and most of it is hills. Shuttle is provided but you have to walk a ways to gain access to the service. The grounds are a beautiful Hawaiian setting. The ocean view from our room was gorgeous. The room is spacious and clean. The bed was put together as two twins, but was comfortable and clean. Beach towels and robes are provided which was a plus. Clean towels, and room service was excellent. We loved our stay here and will be returning.

When we booked and prepaid for this hotel, we had requested a Four Star hotel. The grounds and exterior are very nice, but the out-dated rooms were disappointing. The bed was so uncomfortable. We asked for King and they put 2 doubles together. I have slept on better beds in motels.
