There are a constant flow of charter boat trips, from safe manatee and dolphin watching to deep sea fishing, just steps from the DiamondHead Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach. Aside from this, the Casino Dinner Cruises Port is a few miles away, as are Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, and Times Square. The Main Street entertainment district is on the same street as the property, allowing guests tom enjoy endless dining, amusement, shopping, and nightlife opportunities. The city center is less than fifteen minutes’ drive from the lobby doors, so working travelers will be near to the downtown financial and commercial districts.

Would not stay again. Did not receive the quality for the price. Staff was indifferent. Rooms appear to be surface clean but don't look behind the furniture, cobs webs dust and spiders prevailed.

This is one of my favorite vacations. It was mine and my husbands 25th Wedding Anniversary. The Resort was absolutely beautiful. The view of the gulf from our room was breath taking and the staff were very nice and friendly. If your looking for a great getaway this is where you want to be!

Location - The beach was right there! It still seemed expensive for the actual amenities. Very nice would go again. It is right on the beach no walking you are there!

This hotel's amenities and cleanliness make it a strong value. The pool and deck area are well kept and convenient. Having a bar/restaurant right at the pool is great. The only drawback was the relative location on the strip. The hotel is in a congested area and there were many people using the pool, bar, and restrooms that weren't hotel guests (lots of college spring breakers). Having young children with us this caused some concern, though we just kept an extra eye on them at all times. The hotel will try to get you to take a tour and join their vacation club. For a 90 minute tour you can get a * resort credit and free beach towels. We skipped this option and the staff never bothered us again. Overall this is a strong value option and the rooms were neat and well kept.

I bought vacation package with Deluxe suite. THERE IS NO DELUX SUITES at the hotel. There are two type of rooms- standard and premium( which they do not sell through third party). It was very, very bad experience to deal with Orbitz and Hotel. Never ever book through Orbitz.

Conveniently located and fantastic view. None. Very convenient location and wonderful views. Beautiful beach is in fron as well. Room is very clean and large. Well maintained.

This was our second stay at this hotel and will stay there everytime we visit Ft. Myers Beach. Good location - walking distance to Pier and restaurants. Nice suite. Bed was OK; sheets could have been of higher quality. Love the poolside restaurant and bar service. Got coupons for 2 for 1 drinks. Also received coupon upon check-in for a great 4.95 breakfast in the dining room. They have 3 Martinis in the lounge on Tuesdays. If you want a private balcony, don't get a pooview room -- go for gulfview. Took the Key West Express boat to Key West -- DiamondHead will give you vouchers for the trip which saved us about 25/ticket.

Atmosphere and location on the beach was just wonderful. This was a wonderful place, with a great atmosphere. The location on the beach is spectacular. Enjoyed watching families having fun in the pool and the beach. The suites were well equipped. The staff was super friendly. Enjoyed our stay. Will recommend to others and stay again when in Fort Myers!

My wife and I wanted to stay somewhere that was "on the beach" and the DiamondHead Beach Resort more than met our needs. We were pleased with every aspect of our stay but were very impressed with the postive and friendly attitude of each of their employees. The location was perfect for us. We could have kept busy with any number of offered activities but we were content to sit on the beach or on our balcony, walk to the pier or watch the sunset.

Was very happy with the facility, its location to things to do as well as the beach, staff was very friendly and accommodating - was very very pleased overall. There were 3 young children (2.5, 5 & 7) on this trip and this hotel was perfect for us. Very nice family place, nice pool and 2 hot tubs, beach bar for the adults, good drinks, etc.. Would definately come again.

We got married at Bowditch Park and spent our honeymoon here. The staff was very attentative and amazingly sweet! The consierge are the best ever! The Location is in walking distance to so much! Will definately come back!

Great Location right on the beach. The restaurant food has to improve! Rooms are exceptional, large bathrooms, bedroom with king bed. Hugh screened in balcony (no bugs). Non smoking is a big plus. However you can smoke on the balcony. It's a mini suite! Microwave, refrigerator, big screen TV in both the bedroom and the kitchen/family room. Was very pleased with my stay.

Diamond Head Beach Resort is an incredible resort. Of my travels to Florida this was my first time staying at this resort, however it won't be my last. The people, atmosphere, pool bar and facility were amazing. This beats any condo I have ever stayed in at Ft Myers Beach!!! This is a wonderful resort for family vacations or just a couple get away. I will be back within a year!!! I would strongly, strongly, STRONLY reccomend a beach front suite. Nothing better than waking up with the sliding glass door open in your room and kitchen and hearing the waves!!!

The hotel is easy to get to. It is beautiful. and on the beach. I enjoyed the view of the water. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. The suite is very nice and comfortable. I plan on returning soon.

Great beach! Very close to most restaurants. Have to visit Heavenly Biscuit and Fish Monger. Both have excellent food.

Great beach and water sports. Awesome suite as a room. Hotel restaurant food was awful. It was the only thing unacceptable. Great hotel and suite. Beachfront property overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Awesome resort as long as you stay away from the Main restaurant.

My husband and I just returned from a stay at the Diamond Head Beach Resort in Fort Myers Beach. This property is a good property for families. It is located within walking distance to the Town Square (shopping and restaurants). The one bedroom suite was spacious for the two of us with upgraded finishes and a large 40' screened balcony. We had an ocean front suite overlooking the ocean which was very nice to wake up and see the ocean first thing in the morning. The beach is clean and there are water acitivities to rent right at the property. The staff was very friendly and the concierge was helpful. The pool and pool bar area could have been nicer, we were a little disappointed in those, however they were clean and the pool water was nice and warm. My husband said this was not a resort but a condo with a pool on the beach and I agree. I also have to agree with the review from the person who said there is nothing to do in Fort Myers Beach and the area is dumpy. 5 nights was enough for us and one day we spent the day on Sanibel (nothing to do there either, but shelling) and one day we drove down the gulf coast to Naples (gorgeous area and where we should have stayed) but we had never been to the gulf coast before so were unsure what area to stay. We would never go back to Fort Myers Beach but would stay in Naples next time. Hope this helps some travelers who are searching for a gulf coast experience.
