A good place to staywe would recommend this hotel. we had a smallish twin room with a very nice bathroom. Comfortable beds, very nice cooked breakfast, promptly served even at 7 am when we were on a schedule! Also a helpful welcome when we arrived.

The experience was a complete surprise. I did not have any great expectations when I made the booking, but the hotel rooms were great and the staff excellent. What a fantastic surprise.

Dene HotelI booked for 1 night and stayed at The Dene for 3 nights. Initially my single room was very small but I was given a larger room for the remaining nights. The area (Jesmond) is very pleasant with lots of restaurants. There is an excellent Italian Restauant (Francesca's) a minutes walk from the hotel. The staff are very friendly and the area is very quiet. The breakfast is wonderful. At £35 including breakfast it is really good value for money.

Good budget hotel in a lovely area of NewcastleA really god stay, very friendly and helpful staff 2 miles or less from city centre and 8 mins walk to metro. Would stay here again.

I stayed for one night at the Dene. I found the staff welcoming and friendly and my room was more than ok. The hotel was a short ride from the train station everything suited my needs for my short stay. I would use the dene again.

top place , easy to find, perfect location for the many bars,A+++stayed here for just 1 night, was everything i expected it to be, no fuss of booking and rooms were small (single ) but ok for short stay. was there with 2 more friends and all agree that if we come back, this hotel would be first choice...

Room a bit basic and old fashioned in some respects and very, very warm/stuffy. Staff are absolutely lovely, really warm and welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast good too.

A great hotel, in a lovely area of Newcastle with friendly staff. Easy walking distance from the West Jesmond Metro station. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the choice of fruit juices and cereals was good. My single ensuite room was clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel in pleasant location. On balance it was good but inadequate sound insulation - I was disturbed during night by voices and other noises from adjacent room in the middle of the night.

Very helpful staff. Room though small and basic was comfortable, warm and quiet. The B&B is a ten minute walk from the nearest Metro and there are plenty of places to get a meal and a drink locally.

The hotel was very good and ideal for a short stay business trip. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great.It was also situated close to a number of pubs and resturants where their is plenty of nightlife for your entertainment, it is also close to a small shopping centre.
