On a trip to visit family over the Thanksgiving weekend, several members of my family stayed at this hotel for. My mother and I stayed in one room on the 26th floors, while other family members stayed in other rooms on lower floors. While the locations is convenient, and the staff generally friendly, we were deeply unimpressed by the rooms. In addition to having our toilet overflow for no clear reason one morning just as we were preparing to go out for the day, we saw cockroaches twice during our four night stay: once in the closet where I was keeping my clothes, and once in the bathroom. From the size, shape and movement of the bugs, there is no question at all that they were roaches, and not some other kind of beetle. My mother and chose to stay in the room rather than upset our other relatives who were staying there, and included a family with young children that would have had a hard time moving to another hotel. My mother did quietly alert a manager to the problem on the morning we checked out of the hotel, but in a follow-up phone call the manager told us that their staff was not able to find any bugs, and did not sound like she had any intention of fumigating or otherwise dealing with the apparent infestation. My mother and I have both stayed in many hotels and hostels, and neither of us has ever seen a cockroach before. So, while the Delta may have a convenient location, unless you're fine with the idea of living with roaches, and potentially bringing some home with you in your luggage, I would suggest finding a different hotel for your stay in Toronto. I, for one, will never stay at the Delta again.

We had little contact with the staff, but when we did everyone was awesome.

Clean. No spacious rooms. The executive lounge closed too early. The executive rooms were not spacious at all.

This was a nice downtown hotel. For an extra $25 we upgraded to a king size bed. Not sure if we would pay the regular non [website] rate. Can be a little pricey. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the Concierge was very helpful in finding us a nice restaurant for dinner. We would stay here again.

Got my room for only US$* on another site (rhymes with "nice line"), and was very pleased. The room looks great with really attractive comforters/blankets/pillows/etc. and nice furniture although the bathroom is small because the building is 30-40 years old and that can't be helped. I used the free gym/pool on the 27th floor, which had a great atrium view of downtown Toronto. Food court in the lobby has lots of quality choices for under $10. I also abused the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ joint across the street on Yonge. TIP: There's free WiFi in the food court in the lobby (you have to pay for WiFi in your room).

It was not what I expected When I booked, According to review the hotel was suppose to be top notch but wasn't!

Location The room was dirty looking, bed/pillows uncomfortable, no desk to work on, shower faucet was not working, light bulbs out of sockets

Great hotel, we used the pool and waterslide, the arcade and the child care room, and had a really fun time. Everyone was super friendly and the facilities were exceptionally clean. We ordered room service which arrived exactly when they said it would. I highly recommend this hotel and so do my 6 and 8 year-olds...they want to go there for our next vacation!

The Delta Chelsea is a conveniently located, comfortable hotel with 3 restaurants and 3 bars. The staff is very professional and accomodating. Our stay was very pleasant!

We found a great package that included the Delta Chelsea. Its in a good location near lots of great shops and restaurants. Even as busy as the main lobby of the hotel is, the rooms were quiet and pretty calm. Its was definitely a place I would stay again.

Location was convenient. Mold & fungus in bathroom, old decor & dark dingy hallways.

This was definitely not the four star hotel that was in the pictures. The lobby and workout areas were great, but the room was less than par. The bathroom was dirty and the floor was sticky feeling. The shower was absolutely filthy. Compared to what I thought I was getting I was completely unsatisfied. I would not stay there again.

We upgraded to the signature club for $30 and it was definitely worth it. The room was very nice, spacious, and quiet. Complimentary breakfast and hors d'ouevres were great. Fitness room was very nice, but the pool was small. The Marketplace and the pub were super convenient. Location was ideal.

Good location Could use some renovations. Starting to look old and worn in places. Nice hotel in a good location downtown. Staff were prompt and courteous. Some areas could use some renovation and updating as they are starting to look a little old and worn. That's not to say the hotel isn't clean, because it is.

The hotel is clean, modern, and centrally located. There are several dining options in the hotel. All the service people are courteous and helpful.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Delta Chelsea was a nice, suitably-priced hotel right in the heart of the neighborhood I needed to be. Room service was great, and there are good restaurants around. There was an aggravatingly long line at check-in, but outside of that, I have no complaints.

Staff was great, location was great, room sucked. Small room, no fan is bathroom, went for upgrade of 25.00 not worth .25 cents. Small room. Parking garage is a joke to move in. Room up grade not worth it. Great sheets, bed and pillows. Would not stay here again.
Date of Stay:

Overall the hotel was OK. The staff were friendly and helpful, however the main dissapointment was the roof top deck is closed from July thru August and that was one of the main reasons we picked that hotel. There should have been some sort of notification prior to booking, like "we have a roof top deck that you would be able to use". But it is conveniently located to Dundas Square and all that Toronto has to offer.
