The hotel is in decline from former glory. Long line to check in because the other person was doing payroll, got wrong room (2 beds not 1), no hot water some days, no plug in bath tub, noisy AC had to turn off at night to sleep. Stay somewhere else.

by far the noisiest place Ive ever stayed.

I must start with this being the worse hotel I have ever stayed at! The elevators and air conditioning did not work. The staff barely spoke english. There were extra charges for pool towels, the fitness room and the room safe. I did not even ask for the options. The stairwells smelled badly of urine. The air conditioning fan was very noisy. We had to turn the Television volume up to 3/4 to hear it. When we finally went down to the pool area that was under construction with jack hammers we did not get towels that we appairantly paid extra for as it was 4:00 pm when they put the towels away. To finish it all off I am now sick from that room. I profession is in air quality an I knew when I walked into the hotel it was a sick building. Please don't suggest this hotel to anyone! I am now communicating with Visa as I do not believe services were rendered.Oliver Owens[...].

I want to express my disappointment with regards to my stay at the location. We arrived on Thursday, 06/04/09. We stayed at that location. We opted to stay at the Deauville in order to attend a Wedding that occurred at your location. Upon arriving we were greeted very well by your hop staff. We asked if there was an ocean view room available. She replied that she did have one however, we would not have the king bed we had requested. We ask what size bed, she replied, two Queen Size. For a nice ocean view, we would give up the luxury of the king. Upon reaching the 10th floor we could not help but notice the terrible conditions of the floors. The closer we got to our room the more stains appeared on the floor not to mention the smell. We got into the room and that was quite a site. Staff needs to know the difference in sizes between a Queen and a Full. The ocean view was in fact a side view of the building facing south, if one can see out of the filthy windows that had finally been cleaned by the rain storm on Friday morning. When opening the closet doors to hang our close, the doors fell off. We opted to leave our cloths in our bags. We started to set up in the bathroom but the there was no place to put the soap, or tooth brushes. The Hair blower was just placed next to the towels as there was no place to hang it. For dressing up, no view mirror was provided in the room. We then realized that we made a mistake in our selection of hotels and our option to extend in order to remain with the other guest until Monday was out of the question. The night before we stayed at a Ramada inn in Daytona. But it was better. Got up Friday morning and headed out to the pool area, hopefully things would be better. Stopped by the pool bar for cocktails. We understand the use of plastic cups in a pool area for safety, but $2.

The Doh'ville should really be renamed the Don't-ville!Like most of the hotels in Miami this is another rather tired establishment; and often missold as being on South Beach - in fact it is past the sign for North Beach, being about 60 blocks (read 5 or 6 miles or a two hour walk) to Ocean Drive! The key card system at the hotel is terrible; we had to queue up every day to have them renewed, whenever the rooms were serviced! The valet parking is not a bargain at $20 a day plus tax etc, whereas you can park on the opposite side of the street or two doors down for $8-10 a day - make sure you have plenty of quarters though to feed the meters! On the plus side it does have a large pool (though rather dated with tiles missing) and a hot tub next to (an extortionately priced) bar. The access to the beach is good, but this hotel is on a very thin stretch of beach nothing like the expanse of South Beach proper. The wifi system is joke and kept dropping out in our room and much of the rest of the hotel - despite the fact that the walls were paper thin in respect of neighbourly noise intrusion! The bathrooms are tiny but effective. The beds were rather poor - the centre leg on my bed was broken! And then there was the fiasco of the beach towels - which had to be signed for and returned by 6pm or else you will be charged an extortionate rate of $15 a towel - for towels, worth effectively nothing - in fact Kohls sell $3 ones that are far better! Additionally you pay a resort fee of $10 for a green coloured wrist band, reissued every day via a queue at reception (best part of this hotel being the Lobby, of course) which is avidly patrolled by security on the lower ground floor to prevent hapless hotel guests from accidental entry to the fitness or poolside areas. Overall this is not a winning proposition that we could ever recommend!

This hotel has done a poor job of renovating & is still in the process of updating certain sectors of the facility. Although the staff is very friendly, security requires all guests to wear a band which resembles a hospital braclet during the entire duration of your stay. This is because of the general public's access to key areas like the pool. The elevators are horribly slow & it might take up to four trys to actually be able to board one. The sheets, towels and general look of the rooms and floors are old and worn down. The only part of this hotel which fits their description is the lobby and pool area.

Hotel on first impressions was good. We asked to see the room before we commited to booking it. We were shown a lovely room, with new linen etc, it looked like the rooms had been refurbished, so we were happy and went away and booked the hotel via Late Rooms. When we checked in the room that was allocated to us was completely different to the one we were shonwn however we stuck with it as it wasn't bad, but not brilliant. Unfortunately the location of this hotel is not so good we had to travel by car to any shops or restuarants. On a positive note the swimming pool was good and back onto the beach which was lovely. Would i stay here again? The answer would be no

My immediate reaction was...wow...this is a really gorgeous lobby! Very old school (the furniture is dated and definitely used but that's if you want to be really picky) but nice. I was helped right away and checked in with no problem. When I got to my room it was small, a bit humid, and smelly. Before I got crabby I opened my curtains! WHAT A VIEW! I had a view of Collins Ave, Downtown Miami, the pool, and the ocean! You couldn't beat it. I kept my curtains open the majority of my stay...even when it rained! So pretty! I went to check out the pool and beach area. It was perfect. The pool is crystal clear with plenty of chairs and the beach is nice and open for plenty of people to be there without being crowded. There is a Walgreens right across the street (where I bought room spray to take care of the smell) and several restaraunts near there including a dunkin donuts for breakfast! Overall I really enjoyed my stay. You can't beat the location and if you want to just go for a low key vacations (I went for work and am not a fan of night life IE: Miami) you hardly have to leave the hotel to get what you need. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything that was stated by Orbitz was straight to the point. What u see is what you get. No extra fees other than the valet parking ($20) and the resort fee ($10) per day. The valet parking is very slow, so be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes to get your car. The beach was beautiful and the room was veryyy clean. Would go back anytime! It was really worth it.

nothing bad location, in the middle of nowhere, dirty, terrible staff, extra resort fee.. - We couldn't check in until 4 pm because the front desk told me that the rooms in my booking class "priceline" have less priority and will not be ready before 4 pm --> clearly penalizing priceline customers- Hotel was extremely dirty --> couldn't have breakfast because of the dusty tables, almost no view from the hotel room because of very dirty windows, all corridors were stinking- Pool filtering was not turned on --> not possible to swim in that pool- hotel is in the middle of nowhere --> spent 50$/day for cab ride to areas with attraction- Valet parking scratched my car --> they first said it was my fault, and were very rude. When I called the police they waxed the car and gave me their insurance information.- One of my worst of worst hotel experience!! I will tell all my friends about this screw up of Priceline!!!

Very close to amenities (grocery, drug store, restaurants) and conveniently located along transportation routes. Best value for the money I spent with Priceline for this hotel. Would definitely stay at the Deauville again if I had my choice.

Big room, big pool, in front of the beach, excellent lubrication, safety. At room you haven't wireless signal. It's a very good hotel, I will stay again without problems. It's notorious the effort to maintain it .I appreciate that.
