By train: We are located 50 meters from the train station Nice Ville By plane: Nice Côte d'Azur Airport at 7 kms From the airport : take a taxi or shuttle (n99) to train station (departure every 30 minutes from 8 am to 9 pm.) By car: Highway A8 : Arriving from AixMarseille, take exit Promenade des Anglais and follow the way to Gare SNCF Arriving from Italy, take exit Nice Nord, allways straight on to the see and follow signs to Gare SNCF. The hotel is near a public car park.

A one night stayI arrived early before the checkin and they were very good they let me have the first room that was ready. The room was fine but did have a leak from the air conditioning that I needed to put my bin under. Otherwise fine. Location wise easy to get to the shops and the sea front either walking or using the tram which is located very close to the hotel.

Typical 2* French provinicial town hotel. Conveniently locateted but pretty worn. Most surfaces cracked and paint peeling. Prices ramped up enormously for the Grand Prix. Functional to sleep in, but little else.

Whilst the location was great, they booked us into the wrong room and the temporary baggage storage was in no way secure!

This hotel is very close to the train station [~2 min walk] but a good 15-min walk to the action [Salaya and Promenade]. Rooms are clean, but DO NOT bother with breakfast - there are bakeries and sandwich bars nearby, and much better value for money. Staff are helpful with tours [commission]. Lift broke down a few times while I was there. The area is a little dodgy, being close to the train station, but for the room alone, it represents good value if you need a room in Nice in which to simply keep your bags and sleep.

A very tired hotel in a noisy location. It is not that cheap. The shower was broken, room was in need of a good coat of paint. If you want to be central then OK but there must be better appointed hotels nearby. The web site photos are very misleading!

Hotel de Berne was in a superb location esp if you were dipping in and out of Nice and travelling along the riveira. Only 50 meters from Nice SNCF station and bus station so handy as a Nice base. The hotel was quaint reminding me of Fawlty Towers but with no sign of Basil! Very helpful staff who tried to satisfy all my demands. The hotel was pleasant and my room, although a double was pokey- I wouldn't lounge about all day there but all in all an enjoyable time spent.
