Set in Upper Austria's scenic Salzkammergut region, the picturesque spa town of Bad Ischl became famous as the longtime summer residence of Austrian Emperor Francis Joseph and his wife Sisi. The magnificent lakes and mountains surrounding the town were made famous in the 1965 film "The Sound of Music." With its graceful villas and gardens, Bad Ischl retains its imperial splendour; the imperial residence (Kaiservilla), still occupied by members of the emperor's family, is open for visits.

The Salzkammergut’s best breakfast is served from 07:30 to 10:00. Late breakfast, brunch and lunch from 10:00 to 14:00 on weekends (brunches are available on weekends and public holidays and are not limited to hotel guests).

The LivingRoom Restaurant is open for lunch from 11:30 to 14:00, and for dinner from 18:30 to 22:00.

The Garden Restaurant at Daysha is a very private place for a candlelight dinner or a good glass of wine.
