This hotel stay was terrible. When we searched for a hotel, one of our requirements was a pool. This hotel advertised a pool but the manager didn't tell us until we checked in that the pool was not filled. The room was small. There was no coffee carafe for the coffee maker. The wires for the hairdryer were pulled out of the wall and were hanging down loose. The table lamp had wires that were taped. There was also some object underneath the flooring that if you weren't very careful you would trip over it as you walked by. There was also trash all over the grounds there. There was no scoop for the ice machine either. Overall, we were very dissapointed nin our stay. We will NOT be returning there.

Location. Maintenance needed, poor service. Even though it was 80 degree not IC, restroom was too small.

The room was disgusting. There were stains on the bathroom counter due to dripping water (presumably), and there was water that would leak down onto the counter every day. The shower had hair in it from a previous occupant. It was supposed to be a nonsmoking room, but smelled a lot like smoke. If you can, choose another hotel.

not recommended to stay, we had the worst experience ever. The room had a terrible odor, the maids did a poor job on cleaning, the bathroom was dirty and you could hardly move around in it. The beds were very uncomfortable...If you want to have a great time in charlottesville, Don't stay there!

I stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of the contact at the University with whom I was doing business, who also told me I would not need a rental car. As a result I was stranded in a dirty, old hotel partially under reconstruction (a fact not advertised or described anywhere on their website or by their staff when I called), on a commercial strip not navigable by foot, with no amenities save a dubious seafood restaurant and an intermittent, low-strength wireless internet signal. The doors to the rooms (which opened onto the outside, not a hallway) fitted badly, which caused concerns about security as well as allowing dust and leaves to blow in under the door; the carpet in the room looked like it had last been cleaned in 1975, shortly after being installed, and the shower fixtures were about the same age. The first room I was in was "on the parking lot side" - the check-in clerk forgot to inform me that the parking lot was undergoing reconstruction and I could expect several hours of high-decibel machine noise. Upon asking for a different room, I was told "I can move you, but if I do I can't guarantee anything - the whole place is being rebuilt." I would never have stayed here if I had been aware in advance of the conditions, and I will not stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone else do so.

Clean and comfortable with an on-site restaurant serving all meals. Facility looks old and tired.

My husband and I, under extraordinary circumstances, had to request assistance from this particular motel and from the Days Inn Corporation. Although they did not have to, they helped us and were very considerate. Sometimes the people make all the difference.

This hotel is in need or remodeling. The beds were not comfortable, the air conditioner was loud and the room smelled musty. I would not stay there again.

We were in town for the Dave Matthews concert. There was no air flow in the room. The air conditioning was broke. We had to keep the door open as much as we could because of the stuffy stinchy air in the room. All I can say is at least it was a place to stay!

The pool was clean and family friendly. My room was dirty upon arrival and my second room had an insect problem. Although we loved the pool, the rest of the hotel was fairly disappointing. Our assigned room was uncleaned when we entered so we were given a room by the pool. This was nice until we experienced insects, over and over. No explanation for the insects, but it continued the entire 3 days we were there. The bathroom is in desperate need of updating and the linens on the bed were disgusting at best. If it was not for the fact that we spent very little time in the room, we would have certainly switched to a different hotel.

I am sure glad the wife and I did not stay at this dump of a hotel. Find another place to say in town!

The hotel was way to expensive for what we got. First we were sent on a wild goose chase through and around a maze of buildings when the room was just around the corner from the front desk. The room was gross. Blanket was moth-eaten. The never got warm and the heater madea bunch of noise. We slept with our cloths on. Never again.

The size of the bed. The ripped wall paper, small walking space, slow internet, shower liner was loose. The stay was nice, but at the time there was no ac. the towel service could have bin better. I would stay there again!

Facility in poor repair. Room was clean but A/C was inadequate. The only saving grace was that the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. Too bad we had prepaid for this place.

the Days Inn was not very comfortable, the room was not really clean, you couldn?t open the windows, it was dark and the air conditioning was too loud.

Location and outside grounds. Highly overpriced, rooms not cleaned, lamps did not work, little hot water. Water in shower only lukewarm, trash on floor never cleaned. Two lamps did not work--and the list goes on and on. NEVER again.

The hotel was overpriced for the quality of room, unstocked toiletries, our sheets looked like they were never washed.

While Days Inn is your basic motel, we enjoyed it. The kids loved the pool and I found the area around it very pleasant for watching them swim. The room was quiet and we slept well. The staff in the adjacent Red Lobster were wonderful to them and both of them remarked on how nice the staff was and how good the food was. Even though I find Charlottesville roads confusing (Thank goodness for the GPS) it was convenient to all the major tourist attractions allowing us to see Monticello, the Academic Village at UVA, Ash Lawn and Montpelier in 2 days!

It had a nice pool, good location, and friendly staff. The bed was falling apart, old coffee still in the coffee pot, asked for non-smoking, twice, and did not get it. I did not have a good experience overall. The bathroom and sink area need to be replaced instead of adding even more caulk and glazing. The coating on the tub was flaking off. I have paid less for better.

The Days Inn Charlottesville is an older Inn. The desk clerk was VERY helpful , as arrived 3 hours prior to check-in and was given a roomm within 15 minutes. There was only a desk chair to sit in, which was disappointing. The bathroom vanity plumbing was loose and wiggled when turning on the water. The pool was green, so I chose not to sit by the pool. The dining was excellent at the Red Lobster, which also served breakfast!! The location was excellent. Every employee I talked to was very friendly and more than willing to be of assistance.
