The hotel staff was great and accommodating. The price is right for this room. Across the street from TX Tech stadium, very convenient to the university. The hotel is very dated and is due for remodeling. Great place to stay is you just need a place to shower and sleep.

A/C not turned on/hot in room, shower leaked, was not very clean.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It is clean. The beds I thought were very nice. Love the pillows. I didn't like that the pool was never really clean and room smells a little musty. The people at the front desk were very helpful though.

The exterior appearance was fine, the sleeping area of the room was OK except for the sheets not staying on one bed and the burns on the carpet. (I guess that comes with a smoking room.) But the lavatory area and the tub/toilet area really needed a coat of paint on the ceilings and the lights were without covers, one didn't work, and there was no exhaust ventilation. The shower faucets were difficult to use, needing updating, and the tub barely drained. It may have been because of the flood the city had the night before, but it worried us we would overflow before we finished our shower. There was no snank machines on the premises so I had to leave to buy evening and morning food, when a snack would have been nice considering the evening weather and the morning schedule. But the staff were pleasant and happy. It was such a nice thing to hear laughter first thing in the morning as the cleaning ladies waited to do their jobs!

The staff was friendly. The first room they gave us hadn't been cleaned so they gave us another room. This room smelled really bad of cat urine, the faucet leaked everywhere and the toilet was stuck and stayed running unless you took off the back and worked it by hand. The pool was also shut down.

I booked a three night stay, Wed to Sat. Wanted to stay Sat night but the hotel was booked. Sat morning, we packed the car and I went to check out. Asked if they had a cancellation and was told yes, there was one room available. I would have to change rooms. I said OK. The manager, swiped my credit card and gave me two room keys. My husband and I were headed out so, we left our things in the car but did go up to the room to turn the A/C on. When we returned to the hotel at 11:30 that night, someone was in our room. We went to the front desk and the guy working did not know what was going on. He pulled up our check in screen and it showed us checking in at 10:20 and someone checking us out at 12:17. The initials ** were next to the check out at 12:17. We had to sleep in our car that night. We went to the Days Inn the next morning to find out what happened and the manager, told us "It happens". No apology, no compensation. Just oh, well. it happens.

It is what it is! A roadside motel within walking distance to most areas of the Tech campus. If you need an economical and no-nonsense, yet comfortable place to stay for a day or two, why spend too much? The place is clean, serves a basic breakfast to get you on your way, and the staff is okay.

It was what we needed. The room was big. A little older but clean and nice enough. Had fridge and microwave. Close to campus, which was our goal. The construction around the hotel made driving a bit of a challenge but the hotel itself was quiet and nice. The staff was helpful and courteous. We didn't try the pool or anything.

I had a bed to sleep on and get my feet off the wet floors. Floors were wet and the only other room available was on the third floor. This hotel is next to a University and looks it. If I owned it I tear it down and start over. No matter the rating one comes to expect certain things from the hospitality industry, clean sheets and towels not stuff which looked like it should have been in the rag pile weeks ago. Wet dirty carpeting, being in Lubbock is no excuse.

This is an older hotel, but they have gone the extra step to provide quality service. The tub has an arched shower curtain rod to give you extra space. They had three pillows on each of the two double beds and they were real quality pillows .... not the standard hotel pancake pillow. This was the best quality for price that I have experienced in quite a while - and I travel a lot.

Responded quickly to lack of hot water andgood continental breakfast. Dirty, no hot water, but management is working with clients. Mass construction is going on in adjacent street, if you can put up with it.

The Days Inn on 4th Street in Lubbock was great! Check-in and check-out was a breeze, all the staff were very nice, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. It would be a GREAT place to stay on a football weekend - you could walk right across to the stadium and/or the Tech campus. There's a lot of road construction right now, but even so, traffic was not a problem while we were there. It could be during a game weekend! They offer a breakfast as part of their service, and the food looked good, but there was not enough room in the dining area for all the guests to have a table. I guess you could take your breakfast back to your room, but we chose to go elsewhere since there are plenty of places to eat in the area. I would definately stay there again.

Great rates, clean, efficient andgood value. Nothing. Days Inn is a great value, convenient and clean hotel. You can not beat the overall quality of the room and the service. I would recommend to anyone.

We checked in and were sent to a room that was already occupied....very scary. We were then assigned another room on another floor. We had to walk through an outdoor hallway, which had two overhead lights, one of which was burn out. This was very scary because there was an ice machine and you couldn't tell if someone was hiding behind it. When we went to open the door to our room, you had to lean your shoulder into it and slam it very hard to open it. My husband cut his hand one day, trying to open the door. The hair dryer in this room did not work and so we had to change rooms again. The pool was not cleaned for three days and then when it was, the water was like ice and you could not enjoy your swim. It was a very disappointing stay.

For an economy price surprizingly clean and comfortable. Electronic card key did not work very well. Economy without sacrificing comfort or cleanliness.

Excellent location. Bathroom needed better cleaning. Include a quality assurance inspection when rooms are cleaned.
