This was a nasty hotel. The fridge didn't work and it stunk! The door didn't close all the way even security latched was still cracked open. When I went to th front desk to get an ashtray and a remote since the room had none I told them of the fridge and they said sorry we have no where else to put you and upon check out the next day the lady said they had plenty of rooms and didn't understand why we were not moved! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

It was in a great location! The beds were rock-hard! The hotel, while in a great location, is not a great place to get sleep. The beds were horrible. I asked if we could possibly change rooms to see if it was just our room, and they said that we could not change rooms. Also I asked for a queen, no smoking room, and got a king smoking room.

I was very pleased with my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal. Close to shops restaurants and even downtown. The room was clean and comfortable and seemed to have been renovated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again next time I am in town

bathroom walls with mildew, dirty floors and roaches in walls.

The outside of this Days Inn was very appealing, sitting high on the side of a mountain. We were excited to be staying there. The entry way was attractive, but the strong smell of cleaning products was overpowering. We were given a room in the main building off the lobby. The smell in our room took my breath away. This whole building reeked of strong cleaning product. We reluctantantly stayed. The sheets were threadbare and actually had holes in them. There were electrical outlets without covers and wires hanging out of them. We had to unplug a light to use the coffee maker. There was a pile of about 10 wires clumped between the bed & night stand. The A/C had all kinds of trash, toothpicks & dust visable in the vent. It was disgusting.

Friendly staff and good hot water. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the air conditioning needed work, it was either real cold or pretty warm.

The dirtest hotel we ever stayed at. Luckily, we weren't there much. Bugs behind bathroom door. Looked like bathroom floors weren't moped in months. Holes in wall where light socket should be. Towel rack missing in bathroom. Beds were ok and at least the sheets were clean. Rug was also dirty. Hotel desk clerk was very nice and helpful, but will never stay here again due to how dirty the rooms were.

The Days Inn South Birmingham was very well located for ease of getting to and in and out of. It was a great location to access interstate and local dining and shopping. The staff was very helpfull in guiding us to local places to eat, which we like vs. chain stores.

Close to the interstate. Were not clean dirty towels on floor in bath room? This was the worst hotel I every stayed in my life. The owner can't know that it's this bad .the staff make you wait while their on the phone.

This hotel needs to be updated and cleaned or closed down. I have never stay in a room that was this bad and I travel a lot. I ask for a non-smoking room, this room had signs posted saying non-smoking room but there where three ash trays and the smell of smoke. The bathroom was not clean. The traffic noise from the interstate made it impossible to sleep. I was told that pets where not allowed, then I found out later that they do allow pets. I don't rent hotels rooms where pets have been in the rooms and beds! I will never stay in another Days Inn again.

The Day's Inn Birmingham was convenient to Talladega. We enjoyed the Barrister's Tavern and Waffle House next Door. Didn't have to even get in the car, but when we DID get in the car, the hotel was on a highway that had anything you could want.

It was in close proximity to good choice in restaurants and not far from the galleria mall. It was very dirty, needs remodeling, floors squeaked, bed was hard, walls were too thin. Would not recommend this hotel because of the general condition of the facilities, building and room. Location was only thing going for it. Also your price was way too high for the discomfort and dissatisfaction I endured. Room should have cost 35 dollars a night not 55 dollars I feel you guys ripped me off by not accurately disclosing the real Nature of the hotel.
Date of Stay:
June, 2007
The staff was very warm and friendly and the rooms were very clean. Perfect location for shopping and restaurants as well as easy on/off to the interstate.
