This hotel is in the grip of a big renovation, and it's obvious. From the construction vehicles parked in all the best spots to the dust in the environment, I think it would be better to close it down for a week or two to finish everything up than to have people try to navigate the construction trash to get to their rooms.

Convenient to downtown locations. Bathroom needed paint and repairs.
Date of Stay:
July, 2007
The room was full of crickets. I called the desk, but there was noone available to get them out. They offered another room, but my mother is unable to walk, so that was not possible. The furniture is ratty. The room is unclean and unfit for human (or unhuman) habitation. Don't stay in this hotel!!

Nothing. Furniture was falling apart, beds were too small and not family oriented. I will never stay there again, and i will tell all my friends the kind of experienceI had. It was not worth the money.
Date of Stay:
September, 2006
Were the rooms, carpeting and linen one whit the more ratty, the place would be declared ""public housing"". Seriously in need of refurbishment or demolition.

Loud Neighbors Disturbed us and staff relocated them. Needs to seperate families and children from other guests. I have stayed there a couple of times and had good results each time.

Very clean room. The central cooling system worked perfectly.

The room was clean. Everything worked. Shower head was very low. No fruit at continental breakfast. The hotel was fairly cheap, convenient, and clean. Because of that, it did meet our requirements. The shower head for short people is a common problem. No fruit at the continental breakfast defeated the name continental.

Bed was comfortable. Room smelled like smoke, non-smoking room. Bad. Bad smell. Broken parts in hotel. Dead bolt lock on door was broken. Would not stay here again. Not what I would consider a 2 star hotel.

April, 2008
Nothing special. It was a hotel. But no drunks woke us up at 4am, which was good. Horrible parking, skimpy cont. breakfast with warm milk, crummy shower head. This hotel was nothing special. It was hard to locate coming in from out of town, and we had to park in the LaQuinta parking lot (maybe we should have stayed there). It's not immaculately clean (our mini coffee pot still had the previous tenant's coffee grounds in the pot - not in the basket, in the pot), but not filthy either. The floor in the common area was sticky and the continental breakfast was poor (crumbs for Raisin Bran, warm milk, OJ watered down to the point it wasn't drinkable, bagels only on one day, and pre-packaged pastries). I've seen much cleaner rooms, better shower heads, more parking, and much better breakfasts at other Days Inns. Our stay wasn't just awful - I've seen much worse also - but it wasn't great either. It was nothing special, but it met our needs: we got some sleep and a shower.

Access to major freeways and roads. Under construction and remodel. Overall, my stay was good. Location was good for my purposes since I needed access to major freeway. They tried to put me in a smoking room, the room smelled horrible. However, office staff moved me to another, non-smoking, room upon request. Building was clean, but under construction.

The location was good. Poorly lit, staff was sort of rude, dingy. Overall, it was a moderatly poor experience. The room was poorly lit. The appliances were old, and the bathroom was sort of dirty. The staff interrupted my partner and me at odd hours and they were basically accusing us of stealing their towels. The location was good as it was right by the airport. I wouldn't suggest staying there for more than one or two days.

Continental breakfast was good, loved the juice machine. Hotel is under construction. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The continental breakfast was good and I absolutely loved the juice machine.

Door stuck and difficult to open, lamps did not work. The appearance of the hotel from the street was not very attractive. I believe they were in the process of renovating the front office, but it was difficult to tell for sure. The door to our first room would not open, even after we and the hotel attendant pushed and kicked on the door. We changed to another room where initially the door stuck but was eventually easy to get in and out of. There was no chair to relax in except the straight back chair with the desk. There were 5 lamps in the room and only 2 worked. We were not impressed with the state of the hotel office (old and somewhat dirty) so we didn't attempt to try the continental breakfast as we didn't feel it was a clean or sanitary environment. We will never stay there again!

Did not feel at all safe for myself or my vehicle. Definitely not for a female traveling alone, I was afraid every time I left my room and even locked inside at night.
Date of Stay:
October, 2006
It was very quiet. Beds were old and springy. Not a great location, can get to it ok, but getting out and heading any direction but south is difficult. The beds need to be updated, too soft and springy. All else was as expected for this level of hotel.

Location, availability & price. Run down condition, moderate cleanliness. Ok, but not wonderful.
Date of Stay:
September, 2006
Location only. Plaster falling off ceiling in bathroom, dirty refrigerator, and view from window was into another rooms window. Access to many places in the Austin area was good but would have to say interior of rooms was not worth the price.
Date of Stay:
September, 2006
Fair price for the room. The location was too far for my needs at that time. Decent place to sleep and shower.
