I was traveling on Business. The Hotel staff was nice and friendly. The room was very good for the price and my needs while traveling on business. Although the hotel is pet friendly you could tell that cats had been in this room.

very good value for the money, remember you get what you pay for. VERY friendly staff, looking for a low price hotel, look no further, FREE internet is a BIG plus.

Typical Days Inn. Nothing special. Normal breakfast foods. Fridge, microwave & in-room coffee. WiFi no problem. Desk, loveseat coffee table. Two washers & 2 dryers, only 1 of each worked. Near ABC & many good chain restaurants. Fairly close to Huntington Metro. A good deal for AARP, 68.

Compared to previous trips I have taken and hotels I have stayed in, this Days Inn would rate at the bottom of my list. Very dirty and noisy. Breakfast selections were minimal; no eggs, bacon, or potatoes. Just cereal and starchy items such as waffles, toast, and bagels. Food items were not kept replenished during breakfast hours. Set up of eating area needs improvement. I will not stay at this facility again.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Outside was run down and construction was underway. I very much enjoyed staying here. As I pulled up to the entrance, I wasn't sure how it would be. The outside was in poor condition, but I noticed construction was underway. That made me thinks that the noise would be unbearable, but was understanding due to the run down condition of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was cozy, comfortable, and clean, which is what I value most in a hotel. I did not hear any of the renovations outside. It was a pleasant experience, and I would return.

I wouldn't have thought this hotel was so bad except for its unwillingness to allow travelers to change their plans. We originally booked 2 nights there through Travel agency. After staying one night my mom decided she didn't feel safe (I thought it was alright). We also decided we wanted to move on with our trip rather than staying another night in the area. When we tried to check out before 11am, we were informed that we would be charged for the second night even though we wouldn't be staying there. Because we had reserved it for 2 nights we would be charge for 2 nights no matter what. I didn't notice it when I made the reservation, but with this hotel we were actually charged by Travel agency first and then the hotel charged Travel agency. Because the hotel refused to only charge Travel agency one night, Travel agency had to charge us for both nights. I'm pretty sure the hotel then rented the room to another traveler and made twice as much on one room. In short, READ THE FINE PRINT and don't stay here.

The staff was very unfriendly, the hotel was dirty and many people on drugs walk around the halls of the hotel

We like the restaurant in the hotel. It was pretty old and needed updates. No access to the metro. Sheets didn't fit on the beds and kept on falling off. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here for a funeral, so we didn't have much time or options. Check-in went nice. Staff was friendly, rooms were pretty decent and clean, bathroom was clean and looked renovated, the new shower was perfect and was very relaxing. Other parts of the hotel was still under construction. Unfortunately, I left cookies on the nightstand one afternoon and returned that evening to a bed and nightstand full of ants. Front desk were understanding and gave us another room. I usually don't stay at hotels like this but due to the circumstances involved didn't have much choice, and it really was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Also the lil breakfast was okay and the area was kept clean. The food in the restaurant was also good. located right down the street from plenty of shopping and restaurants. kids got in the pool and survived. looks like they were upgrading the place so maybe we might stay again if in the area and needed a quick, cheap place to sleep.

Clean and well kept for an economy hotel. Room was basic, clean, and did not disappoint. Free breakfast did disappoint.

Graffitti in elevator, vomit in the halway, broken ice machine, rude staff. Reminded me of a public housing project I visted in Chicago. To think I actually paid for this experience.

this hotel was sorry in every aspect. the bathtub had mold and it stank when walked in. it was the most ugliest looking outside ive seen in a while. needs new painting, updated rooms and so forth. overall this hotel is not reccomended. just to pre warn.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff, which were very friendly and helpful. The room had a wet smell and water bugs. The room didn't feel clean and the carpet was dirty. Channels on the tv didn't work. You heard every noise made all day and nite. The maid kept trying to come into the room and it was no where near check out time. For the price paid it wasn't worth it at all.

The price was good. Location and appearance. We paid for 2 queen sized beds, and the hotel room that we got only had 2 full beds. It is certainly not walking distance to the metro; you must have a car to drive to it. There was a shuttle service but there was no information about it. Hotel said there was wireless internet; our room did not get it. The TV had about 5 channels all which came in fuzzy, and the continental breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee before 9 am.

Days Inn Alexandria South was perfect for my family and I. We stayed there while visiting Washington, D.C. The bus stop to the Metro is located in front of the hotel. It's the only bus that stops there and the Metro is its last stop. The Metro is on the Yellow Line and it connects with the Blue Line which takes you to Arlington Cementary, Pentagon, Chinatown, and Downtown D.C. I purchased Metro cards for our trip which made it very convenient. The hotel is budget two star, but it's clean. No bugs, clean room and clean towels everyday (although the towels are rough). The staff is friendly and accomodating. The pool had been drained, so if you're going during the summer, ask if the pool will be usable. There's a restaurant and it makes delicious, authentic pizza. If you going during the summer or school breaks be ready for kids running around and banging on doors, late at night. It didn't keep us up. We were so exhausted at the end of the day nothing could have kept us awake, but if you are a light sleeper, beware. The continental breakfast was standard - toast, muffins, waffles, bagels, juice, milk, cereal, and coffee. I enjoyed it. I will end this by quoting my eleven year old, "The hotel is clean and people are friendly".
