It was great for my daughter and I. Did not need a room with bells and whistles. We only needed sleep and a shower and that is exactly what we got. The room was clean (Tub/shower up to my obsessive standard) and ac was cold. The Front desk was informative and helpfull. (most cars in the parking lot were older models, so it was good that we were able to park in front of our room) Overall thumbs up.

The staff was super. Nothing to like. Ordered a non-smoking. The were cigarette butts in theAC vent. The had no more non smoking. The swimming pool was coming out of the ground and not usable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Beds were uncomfortable and the rooms were dirty. Even the glasses in the bathroom that were suppose to be new had been used as a ashtray. Horrible experience.

bathroom was nasty, mold in the tub, not a clean room. Definately didn't feel like a safe neighborhood. Not a helpful staff. Would not stay again ever.

Was in town for business and stayed there, they're currently undergoing renovations to the hotel. I was given a renovated room on the second floor. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The Front Desk staff was very helpful with everything. It was in a good location for me because of meetings and proximity to the interstate. I would definetly recommend this hotel. If you're a budget traveler then this would be the place. The restaurant serves great BBQ. I was very pleased with my overall experience and will definetly stay there again when in town.

Very helpful staff. Pool needs repairs. Lobby in great shape. The outside breezeways are old, and need repair. The bathroom in our room needed painting. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. The restaurant noted on the website is closed.

Upon check in, the elderly Asian gentleman did not speak to my husband and I. I gave him the reservation number and he pointed for me to sign and tossed us the room keys. The parking was awful with potholes and the bathroom was filthy (ring around the toilet and tub). The front desk ignored our complaints so we went to Super Target next door and cleaned the bathroom ourselves. Bed was okay as was the rest of the room. Woke up and went to breakfast the next day and when we returned, the young Asian couple cleaning the room (we left a do not disturb sign) threw away all of the food we had in the refrigerator. They chuckled and smirked when my husband told them that we had not checked out yet. Front desk clerk told us she would tell the manager who would "probably" give us a call. Horrible service, dirty bathrooms with silverfish and water bugs. Empty drink and snack machines. Would NEVER stay again.

keys that occasionally unlocked our room door. no telephone. "wireless" internet unaccessible. tub/shower without plug so cant draw a bath. no fitted sheets on either bed. only a flat sheet that hardly covered a dirty matress. overall impression of a dirty room, Bad!! management does not return my numerous calls regarding my stay there & the price i had to pay.. There are too many other Nicer hotels to choose from rather than this Motel..

I saw what you see on this website and wanted to stay here. Nothing too fancy. Just a clean, safe, newer hotel with some nice amenaties. What they claim to be. This was not the case. The pictures you do not see are the ones of the main hotel which looks more like a motel. First of all the hotel is renovating. Trying to turn a dilapidated old motel into a regular Days Inn. The rooms are enter from the outside dormatory style, and it looks old. Okay no problem. Carrying our bags up to our room one of the guests informed us he had been living there two months. Great a hotel that has semi permanent residents. The pool in the picture was empty and the grounds around the pool were not being maintained. The room was fairly clean untill we discovered pills in one of the beds under the covers. (which means they aren't changing the sheets in between guests). The toilet wouldn't stop running all night and when I went to take a shower I saw black hairs in the shower and tub, and I was the first one in our group to take a shower. I only stayed one night and becasue of the cliental of semi permanent residents never really felt safe. I work for the health department where I live and this place is not up to the most minimal standards. Don't stay here.

This hotel is under substantial renovation. This is NOT, and NEVER WILL BE, a 3-star hotel. Hotel is very unclean with rust and stains on door and within hotel rooms. My non-smoking room was a converted smoking room, with terrible smell and burns in the carpet. Construction workers are the majority of the people around. It appeared as though we were the only people actually staying at the hotel. I had my children with me and felt immediately unsafe. We checked back out after 10 minutes. The hotel clerk was not helpful at all, and wanted to still charge me for my 4 day reservation. It took almost a week to resolve this problem. Do not book a reservation in advance at this hotel. Not worth the risk.

I made this reservation after viewing the hotel online. My husband is active army and he was in on leave. The hotel was a short drive to the airport. When we arrived to check in the desk was being ran by 3 young adults no older than 18 with no uniforms on or name tags. Only very casual street clothes. They were more concerned about their conversation than checking me and my husband into our room. Once in the room it surprised me that the rooms were so small. At first the room seemed clean until my phone fell behind the night table. I reached behind to get my phone and discovered a diaper and two BBQ sauce containers. Then on the back of the front door I noticed some writing. The writing was very vulgar ([*]). We were told check out was at 12 noon, at 11 a houskeeper just opened our door and walked in. Me and my husband were still in bed watching tv. Again this employee had no name tag or uniform on. Upon checking out things didn't get better. The front desk attendent made the comment she had to pick food out of her teeth before she could assist us. When all this was brought to her attention it really didn't seem to bother her. We will not stay here again. I used to manage a hotel and this is a very poor excuse for a nice hotel.

The staff was nice and friendly, the rooms were okay, but this is post-katrina; so they have a lot of out of town workers staying there. I woulr rather stay elsewhere.

Old everything, OK if not for other issues. Locals treat this place as their own, running businesses out of the parking lot - like car dealing, car wash with truck mounted power washer starting at 6am!!! Not a good experience, spend a little more somewhere else. The on-site restaurant is cosed, so is the pool and the Wi-Fi you have to steal from next-door LaQuinta!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. Besides the construction outside on the road the Hotel was fine and close to were I wanted to go. Good location. You can tell that the area is making some improvements and the construction is only temporary. Great stay!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Holiday Inn at Siegen in Baton Rouge. We found that the room was clean, the staff professional as well as friendly and helpful. We thought when we set our reservation for our room that we would be on the second floor but when we arrived, and we arrived 30 minutes earlier than check-in time, that our room was ready and it was on the first floor like we wanted.Oh something else I found that was interesting was the way the pillows were set on the bed each day.....that was sooo cool!!!!!

Nice room for the price. The room was clean and everything worked. Would stay at this location again.

I got the hotel because of Corkys, when I got there they said it was closed down! The bathroom still had used soap in the tub, the tub wasn't cleaned. The coffee pot was still dirty and had old coffee. I think if it wasn't for that and the Corkys to be shut, it would have been a good place to stay!
