	Date of Stay: May, 2009
I enjoyed the location of this hotel it made it easy for us to get to the Zoo, the wild life park, the aquarium and more. Nearby were some great resturants for eating dinner and some great breweries. The breakfast that was served was ok but the local morning places were better. Make sure to visit the gaslamp district when visiting this area. Lots of stores and great places to eat.

I liked that this hotel was only minutes from theMCRD base and the breakfast was a plus. I did not like that the first night we got there our toilet got clogged! The hotel in general was OK, I wouldn't stay there again only because of the customer service. Not very friendly.

We arrived late at night with 2 small children and no rental car to find out there was a computer problem and they did not have our reservation on file. They were able to find us room, when we got to our room it was 85 degrees and the air conditioning was broken not to mention that the pull out couch for the kids was broken and there was some leftover trash in one of the waste buckets. First thing in the morning, we informed and reminded the hotel staff several times that we would like the air conditioner to either be fixed, or move us to a new room with air conditioning, and please move our luggage, which we packed up, to the new room. We decided to eat breakfast at the hotel since it was included in our stay. I have never been to a hotel where breakfast was such a disaster. It was so bad that we decided to forgo the breakfast included in our stay and buy it elsewhere. Little to our surprise, nothing had been done about the air conditioner or moving us to another room. It was late at night with two little kids and no rental car. After some more complaining, they agreed to at least partially compensate us again for the night and provided us with their office fan. Overall, while the hotel staff was incompetent and didn?t communicate well between shifts, they were nice and professional about walking the tightrope between taking care of the customer versus representing the interests of the hotel.The Days Inn corporation should really do a better job of choosing the franchises that get to represent their name. Neither my husband a frequent business traveler nor I can trust the Days Inn product anymore.

We called the staff regarding a couple who were banging on doors and yelling from 1:00am until 3:00am. They sadi they would take care of the couple but the noise continued for 2 hours.

The hot tub and hot breakfast were unexpected bonuses. The location was great and very convenient to MCRD. The staff is friendly and the hot tub and hot breakfast. The shuttle for hotel guests was very helpful.

This hotel isn't in the best part of town and isn't luxurious by any means but it's a nice, inexpensive place to stay. We had no problems and it was a good deal.

We booked a non-smoking room two months in advance, and upon arrival were told there was a mix-up and we could only have a smoking room. They were totally booked, so it was that or try our luck last-minute somewhere else. They were very friendly at the front desk. They did upgrade us to a suite at no additional charge which made up for the fact that the room smelled heavily of smoke. The toilet was clogged when we arrived, but they did fix it immediately. The floor was filthy, and the place was a little run-down. The cleaning crew only half-way serviced the room. Area was not the safest looking, but just a few miles from Sea World (not close enough to walk). The free breakfast was very good, but the line was a bit long at times. The free shuttle service to the zoo and Sea World were fantastic. The drivers were very friendly and always on time.

Upon arrival at the airport, we forgot to make arrangements with the hotel for transportation. We called and they immediately sent a van to pick us up. The shuttle drivers are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and anything that you need to know about MCRD, they can answer for you. We didn't need to rent a car because they pretty much take you where you need to go. The lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and looks to have been nicely remodeled. Also had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Had a free breakfast every morning and there were also stores and restaurants nearby. Was not the best of neighborhoods, but not bad. We had no problems and no-one bothered us. We felt comfortable when walking around the area. Overall I would go there again and I would highly recommend them to all MCRD families and every one in general. They were more than worth the price.

The front desk and room staff. We enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfortable, and rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.

We were on one of the cruise ships and needed a place close to the pier, as well as not far from the airport. A complimentary shuttle and breakfast was an added requirement not knowing distance around the city. We called for the shuttle upon getting off the ship, and within 5 minutes they were there. Our driver knew the best places to eat, and where to go shopping, even offering to take us to the mall after we got settled in. Shopping, the cruise pier, and the airport are all within 10 minutes or so from this hotel. The hotel had a complimentary breakfast and although we were unable to sample due to time constraints is always a money saver. The room was clean, quiet, staff friendly and helpful. The only drawback was there are three buildings, so you had to pull your luggage across a parking lot to an elevator. Directions from staff could have been more helpful ie: a card saying exactly where your room was. Other than that, for $99.00 for the night - great stay.

The Days Inn & Suites/Seaworld was not a comfortable room at all. We upgraded to a suite, and it was very small. Our party included 2 adults and 2 children. The beds were not comfortable, the shower was a constant problem area as was the sink in the dressing area. There wasn't enough vanity room, and it wasn't even semi-private for getting dressed and such. There was a great amount of dirt in the room as well, mostly on top of the entertainment center. There were beer bottle caps, leaves from the silk plants that used to be there, as well as a fair amount of resdiual dust. We did ask the staff to take care of it, however, that was not done. The cushions on the hide a bed were ripped and torn, the covers wouldn't even stay on. And the mattress that accompanied it was stained and disgusting. Most nights, we weren't even able to use it. The location was ok. I didn't care for the amount of nightlife and liquor stores on the block in which we were staying. There were a few places to eat and shop within walking distance.

My family of 5 stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and were very pleased with our stay. Hotel was in a convenient location close to sights and highways. Rooms were clean and good size (we had a 2 -double suite with pullout couch). Kids enjoyed heated pool (though small). Excellent hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, toast, or cereal included. Convenient shuttle service to Sea World and trolley. They offered a great rate for US Gov't ID card holders (< $*/night) - FANTASTIC VALUE. Downsides would be neighborhood a little dingy (night clubs, etc.) and parking lot too small, but can't beat the price.

Although I loved the location of this hotel, and some of the amenities, it had some big drawbacks. The towels felt like sandpaper, and the shower cycled between freezing and scalding, then back again. It was never a comfortable temperature, and I was there for 6 days. However, they have a great breakfast that's free, the room comes with a refrigerator and a microwave, and a table and chairs. So maybe for the money, it's the best you can expect.

Shuttle to airport. Shuttle did not depart on time at 5am. Convenient location with comfortable pillow top beds and very nice pillows. The neighborhood was a little seedy and not conducive for single females to wander around after dark.

This hotel was great! The price was excellent for what we got. The suites they have fit us perfect. There were 3 adults and 3 children. The rooms were spacious and clean. I love the fact that they had breakfast. They do have tickets they give you and you have your choice of Cereal, muffin, pancakes, eggs and a danish. You can only pick 2 of them but it was still good. I would have to say that if you plan on using the pool I would request a room near the pool in the 2nd building or you will have to walk to everything. Meaning the pool and breakfast area. I would stay here again when I come back out. It suited all of our needs and the price was awesome.

The Staff was very friendly but the hotel was not very nice. In a bad neighborhood, lots of loud noises at night and strange people around. Initially did not get a room because they forget to book us, so we had to wait 2 hours, and then we were put in a tiny room with tiny bed. Next night we were finally put into a proper room with a good size bed.

I loved that they offered a nice breakfast! Had a pool and good location. All experience was great nothing to complain about! My husband and I were surprise at how nice the room was. They had a great breakfast, the hotel was clean in a great location and the kids were excited there was a pool. I would redefine go back to this hotel and the price was great! Great job everyone!!!

"We were quoted a price.... paid the price..... and upon check out were asked to pay an extra amount which was more than double of what we were quoted. and more money than what we were form was charged to our card. tried to contacting management several times, was told to call back and still no response from her. the staff was rude and promise untrue things. never stay at this hotel."
