I stayed overnight to participate in an event on the riverfront. The location was convenient enough, yet a little farther than I would care to walk. For the price, the room was clean, well appointed, and satisfactory. I would stay there again for an overnight room; though not with my family for an extended vacation period.

Nothing. Parking, Customer Service, Cleanliness, etc. Awful and disgusting. Don't ever stay at this hotel. The parking is completely awful and mundane. If there is no parking spots available they expect you to park across or down the street. The bathtub was extremely disgusting and unsanitary. You have to drive 20 minutes down the road just to get anything to eat other than the high priced "cafe" they have inside. It also has no continental breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Room very clean. Had a 27" TV, microwave and refrig. Refrigator wasn't working properly upon arrival. Called the front desk and it was fixed immediately. Not fancy but then if it had been I would have had to pay a lot more. Stayed in March so didn't use pool. There is a lounge but didn't visit it either. Hotel just minutes from most attractions and near lots of restaurants.. Food at hotel restaurant was good. Good portion sizes and great service. Got 10% discount due to our staying at the hotel. Very pleased with our stay

My 1st stay in downtown Chattanooga. Having stayed in other metropolitan areas, I was a little concerned about staying any where named MLK. No problem here. We were comfortable walking the entire downtown area from our room. The room had a wet carpet type smell. A little air freshner took care of that. The front desk staff were great. They were the only contact we had at the hotel. Very friendly. Very helpful. We will be staying here every trip. And we do plan to have a lot more trips.

Very convenient to downtown, walk where you want to go, very affordable. Some Days Inns can be pretty sketchy, but this one is the nicest I've ever been to. It's not fancy; it's still a Days Inn, but I would happily stay there again. We didn't need anything special, just a clean room with a bed and bath. The room also had a mini-fridge and microwave if you wanted to bring any food or snacks with you. We were able to walk just a few blocks to the heart of the downtown area by the river, and I felt perfectly safe. The restaurant/diner/cafe downstairs was good too. Again, it wasn't fancy, but there's something on that menu for everyone, and it's good and affordable. A bad hotel can ruin your trip, but this was great for us. I will definitely recommend a stay at this hotel to anyone I know going to Chattanooga.

The staff was friendly and mostly helpful. Room was on ground floor and had damp carpet and the bathroom was moldy/dirty - didn't want to get close enough to distinguish. It was convenient to downtown Chattanooga and that's why we picked it. The Cafe was good for breakfast.

The location at an affordable rate was why we selected the Days Inn - Chattanooga Rivergate. We were not disappointed.

It was a non-smoking room; but cigarette smoke smell was coming through the bathroom. Vent making the room smell of smoke. The bed covers had burn holes. I was disappointed with the hotel. I will not stay here again. Live and learn.

Our room was very nice and clean. The beds were super comfortable and it was unusually quiet there....we slept great! The staff was very friendly. The only drawbacks were there is no continental breakfast , I guess because they strongly encourage you to eat at the attached restaraunt. There also was not much water pressure in the shower but that may have been only in our particular room. We felt very safe, we had to check in late (1:00am) and it was very well lit and an attentive security guard was posted by the office entrance and seemed to " watch over us" as we parked and made our way to the room. The front desk staff was nice...we were pleased.

The location & price are very good. Electronic shattle bus stop is just in front of this hotel. Main my unconvenient things are there is not a refrigerator in the room and no king size bed.

How helpful the staff was. The café food could have been a little better. Check in and out was quick and easy. The staff was fantastic and helped out in any way they could. Our room was comfortable and clean. Very happy with our stay there.

We evacuated to TN because of HURRICANE GUSTAVE. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Since this was not a planned vacation, we could not afford to spend money freely, but I was able to keep the kids entertained and not empty my husband's pockets. Located close to many attractions and restrauants. There is also a free shuttle that can bring you all over town. My only complaint is about the diner that's attached to the hotel. We paid $70 for breakfast (pancakes, bacon, grits, eggs, juice)....ate dinner at one of the local eateries later that night (steak, loaded baked potato, you get the point) ...cost $64....fed two teenagers and two adults. Would love to visit the city and the hotel again under different circumstances. Great area for vacationing families! Oh Yeah....several of the local restaurants deliver to the hotel.

The Chattanooga Days Inn Rivergate is a great hotel right off the interstate and close to downtown without paying a ridculous price. There were no problems with checking in late and our room was even upgraded to a suite since we checked in so late. Nice staff. Not a great location or parking, but overall we were satisfied.

Convenient, easy walking distance to Downtown, convention center, and river. Poorly marked, had a small hotel sign. A great location, just a few blocks from river locations. Convention center across the street and right into Downtown CHATTANOOGA. Easy access to main streets to see the city and LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN.

"The hotel was very nice, clean, and didn't have a bunch of people staggering about during the night. It's close to downtown, You can walk to the aquarium if u feel like it, and it's just a few blocks from sticky fingers. I would most certainly use it again."

Though not the fanciest downtown property, the Days Inn Chattanooga_Rivergate was less than a block from the convention center for half the price. For business purposes, the hotel worked well. The room could have been cleaner, but parking was free, and they let me leave my car there after checking out, so I saved more money on parking.

Very friendly and helpful! There needs to be refrigerators in the rooms! My daughter has diabetes and we had to use a cooler to keep meds cold! This hotel is great for family travelers. The public transportation was awesome. Took us where we wanted to go, very friendly! The out door pool was very clean and the kids loved it! The staff was the best, very helpful and friendly. I will stay here again!

"This is the second time staying at this particular hotel. Located on the free Shuttle bus route downtown. It also has a restaurant. The breakfast was way better than a Cracker Barrel food cheaper and with no waiting. Hotel guests get a 10% discount also. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. These rooms are no different than the room's at Disney's Budget resorts. The service was friendly and helpful. It was very quiet, but then again our stay was not during the summer when the pool is open. For the price and location this place is hard to beat."

I enjoyed the view of downtown outside my window. I also enjoyed the City Cafe Diner very much. The hotels appearance from the outside was very trashy. We had a very nice stay here. There were a couple of things we did not like seeing. For example there were people digging through the dumpsters looking for things to sell and there were also people begging for money right outside the restaurant doors. Other than those thing the staff was very friendly and the rooms were comfortable.
