I stayed at this hotel during a trip to the Mt. Rushmore area. The location of this hotel is not the best considering that Murdo is a very small town, and Rushmore is a 2.5h drive and badlands is a 1h drive from there. However, if you are driving from WI/MN/MI/OH or other such areas, Murdo is a good place to take a break after an 11h drive! Also, the place was clean, staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious. The only problem I had was that the tub did not drain properly resulting in a residue at the bottom after a shower. Dining options are limited to small, local restaurants in the area that are walking distance from the hotel.

Comfortable bed, helpful friendly staff, clean rooms,a real good value. Real comfortable beds, and the room was real clean. The night personwas quite helpful and thoughtful when I arrived at 1:30 am. Nice new flat screen Television with good channel selection. Overall, a real nice hotel and a good value for the price. I will return when I travel back to Montana. Strongly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Good stopping place with kids. Pool comfortable. No extra pool towels available though. Breakfast just toast, cereal. But overall a very nice needed break from out travels back from the Black Hills.

Friendly staff. Beautiful and clean room. Loved the extra sink outside the bathroom. Comfortable bed. Definitely would stay there again!

It was a fair price for what we received, appreciated the cleanliness and the amenities. Some of the rooms had more quality than others for some reason, vs. TV, access to microwave. Overall, very satisfied.

We just picked out Murdo as our stay on our way across country. We had left Ames,Iowa and needed a place for the night. My daughters and I loved Murdo. If I could go back to visit one town that we stayed in, it would be Murdo. And we stayed in Knoxville, Tn., Muncie, Ind. (with a friend), Ames, Ia, Sheridan, Wy., Bozeman, Mt., and finally Pullman, Wa., our destination. I just loved the countryside. Thanks for the hospitality for these South Carolinians. I'll be back!

I liked the western-themed decorations. The town where the hotel is located did not have good restaurants available. This hotel offered nice accommodations in a town that needs some development. The only benefit to its location is that it is convenient to the highway. The beds were super comfortable and the room was well organized and very clean. Cookies and bananas were almost always available in the front lobby. The pool water was extremely cold in the morning when I went for a swim.

We stayed at this Days Inn on our way to the Black Hills. We booked online and weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the motel. It was very nice, the staff was friendly, the rooms were very clean, everything was new, it had a country theme which my kids thought was great and even though the pool was a little small, we still enjoyed it. I would recommend this as a good place to stay!

The staff was great, the desk clerk let us know about the places to eat in town and let us know all the other things about the hotel we needed to know. Very nice atmosphere, clean and very friendly.

We were traveling with my 86 year old Grandmother and had reservations here. We could not request a first floor room, so when we got there, we were on the second floor. They were very accomodating and polite in giving us ground floor rooms without any complaint and hassle, or any additional fees. For the traveler who is looking for mainly a basic place to lay their head with considerate people, this is really recommende.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Its proximity to good restaurants is sadly lacking. The grocery store nearby is also quite sadly lacking. Overall, our stay was very pleasant although the hot tub was down for half of our stay. The hotel was located in excellent proximity to some of the places we had planned to see. I would suggest, however, not to eat at the Rusty Spur (convenience store/ gas station/ bar/ casino/ eatery). It is definitely not what it is cut out to be at all. A short drive to the next town west of there (Kurdo) has a much better offering for dining.

Clean, great atmosphere, cool western décor and friendly staff. My laptop would not work on their wireless internet. It works every place else. I was impressed with the appearance of the motel when I drove up. The folks were friendly and made me feel welcome. The room was just the right size for me and set up nicely. The inability to use my computer on the wireless internet was a definite problem for me however. I really like the motel but laptop access is a large issue for me.
