The Oroville area is well know for its water recreation. We have the beautiful Feather River and Oroville Lake. Oroville Lake has one of the worlds largest earth filled dams. Tours of the dam can be made by appointment. Oroville Lake also has some of the best fishing in the state of California. There are at least 2 pro tournaments a year at the lake. The Oroville area is rich in history. The California gold rush started at Sutters Fort in Sacramento and worked its way to Oroville.

Travelled to the Oroville area to attend my nephew's high school graduation and just needed a room for one night. The hotel was OK, but could use a makeover. The room was clean for the most part, quiet, and had a refridgerator, coffee maker, and good tv. The office is being remodeled, so that area was rather dusty and unorganized. The breakfast offerings consisted of packaged danish and fruit. Would I stay again...probably not since there are better hotels in the area. The price was fair for this level of hotel.

The staff spoke English. Worn rugs, needed interior paint, furniture very old. I would not say the meager roll and coffee and a banana was a breakfast in the lobby. The staff was pleasant the room was very RUN DOWN the bar of soap was so small we used the tiny shampoo bottle. The shower so full of fungus we didn't use it.

This hotel met or exceeded my every expectation: clean, very comfortable, quiet, close to everything that I needed - restaurants, stores, business connections. I will stay here again when I rteturn to this area.
