When I arrived the room was located at the far end near stairs that needed to be repaired. When I asked for a different room because of my injured foot, the staff gave me a larger room for the night that was closer to working stairs, and the next day they found a room closer to the front. Both rooms were very clean and spacious with nice conveniences (wireless internet access, microwave, hair dryer, iron). The location was ideal because I had to travel to San Francisco and Berkeley for meetings, and the bus lines were right outside the motel. Located nearby were a drugstore, several restaurants, a Starbucks, and banks within a few blocks.

This hotel is conveniently located for public transport and other amenities. The staffs are unprofessional and badly lack customer service experience. I usually stay with Days Inn when I travel but after my experience with this hotel, I now have second thoughts if I will ever stay in Days Inn again. The hotel implements cheap practices to cut cost and the rooms are ill maintained. The rooms are not sound proof. I had little sleep the first day because of drunken youngsters next door. The staff needs customer service training. When I asked one of the front desk staff for extra blanket, as it was cold at night, his reply was I should have booked a double queen bed to have one. In general, my experience was very unpleasant.

When I got there I had to call the hotel number to get someone to come to the lobby and would not print out a boarding pass for me for my flight the next morning.

We were attending a conference in Oakland, but stayed in Alameda (a mile away) for the difference in price. This Days Inn was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We really enjoyed that there were multiple fast food option within a block, a Walgreens, and a strip mall with Starbucks across the street.

Would never go there again! All of it! This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Bathroom door broken, dirty, etc. They refused, yes refused to bring extra towels. Didn't clean the rooms daily. And the picture of their building on the web is not the building they have. The room pictures are not the rooms they have. Rude, mean clerks, etc.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here because of accessibility to my friend's test site and great friendly and timely service, and best rate. We plan to book our stay this July 2008 again.

The Days Inn room was clean I will give them that. i would not stay there again as it seemed more of a transient style motel.

The pool at the hotel did appear clean and a family was taking advantage of it when we first arrived. The hotel grounds itself are very dated. The front desk was not attentive. The location of the hotel provides access to the basic fast food restaurants and with a starbucks across the street. However, when I arrived for check in, I stood in the lobby for 15 minutes until someone finally came out and greeted me in a less than hospitable way. If the room had not already been paid for I would have packed up and left. Furthermore, the price of the room was not worth it at all. What you do pay for is the proximity to downtown Oakland, SF, and easy access to the highway? Only stay here if you need a quick place to crash for half a night. Even then, the price is not worth it!

The furniture and carpets need to be replaced. There are people coming and going 24 hours a day.

They honored the Do Not Disturb sign. Our car was damaged by a fat lady driving a black Ford pick up truck. She pulled too far forward and hit the front of our parked car causing a chip. The accommodation was fine. Mr. Patel is very nice.
