The hotel room was fantastic, very comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was a less expensive solution to visiting New York and thus was not perfectly situated, however the transport into NY was fairly simple and inexpensive. The location of the hotel seemed very industrial and was a little noisy.

Nice staff, clean and free WiFi. Free WiFi was accessible with a simple call to the front desk for the password. Mini microwave, mini-fridge and hair-dryer, free parking in attached lot. Would stay again.

A friend of mine referred me to this hotel telling me great things so when I went to NYC for a business trip I stayed there for 2 nights. The location was great being that it was less than 10 minutes away from the city. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. What really amazed me was when I went into my room, I realized at that point that I wasn't really staying in Days Inn I was in a luxury hotel. All in all I had a great experience and will be there again for my next trip to NYC.

This Days Inn is very well situated and the rooms very clean. The employees are very friendly. 42 inches TV...wow! Great choice of hotel. A little bit expensive.

We wanted to travel to Manhattan to visit our son, but didn't want to drive into the city. We found the Days Inn in North Bergen, NJ was perfect for our needs. Parking is free, and the shuttle service from the hotel to the city was wonderful. We had never been to NY before and didn't know our way around. The shuttle is privately owned and provides transportation for other hotels (Comfort Inn, and Howard Johnsons) down the street. On the day of our trip, the shuttle was overwhelmed with a large youth group (over 15 people) who needed to be taken in as a entire group. Our driver quickly called and a second shuttle bus arrived minutes later to take everyone else into the city. We left our hotel at 9am and the shuttle dropped us off at 41st and Broadway in Times Square. We met the shuttle at 8pm and once again, was overwhelmed with all the hotel guests wanting to ride the 8pm return shuttle. The second shuttle was rigt behind the first and our driver actually waited to make sure his second shuttle arrived before he left making sure everyone had a ride back. On our way back our driver announced to get ready to take pictures before we went across the bridge. We got great shots of Manhattan at night. The hotel has a restaurant and we had a great breakfast before leaving the next day. It is not a free continental breakfast but prices were very reasonable. We really were using this hotel to get in and out of the city without a hassle. It was perfect. It was clean, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Now we know our way around, we're ready to go again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Bathroom was recently renovated. Cockroaches around coffee pot & tiny cockroaches in coffee pot filter.

Our stay at the Days Inn was nice. The staff were helpful BUT we were expecting to be able to see the New York Skyline from our room as advertised but we were jokingly told that there was NO VIEW looking out any of the windows because there was a hill in the way. There was no restaurant on the 12th floor because it was being remodeled. No casual place to eat within walking distance either. As we were the only guests taking the shuttle bus we asked if it could pick us up at a different time than on the schedule but were refused. Also there was a mass of hair in our bathroom that was there when we arrived and was with us our whole stay.

Although the room was guaranteed until checkout time. My arrival at 8am was greeted with a response of ""room reservation had been closed "" I was not allowed to check in for the remaining 3-4 hrs of time paid for by the guaranteed status.."

This was one of the worst experience i ever had in trips, the room cleanliness was horrible, on our first day in one of the beds we found hair, the bathtub was clugged, we checked in really late so it was nothing to do, we advised the front desk about this the next morning and they did nothing. The room always was dirty, housekeeping never really clan the bathroom they just exchange the towels. The gift shop people was very rude, and bad educate, they must know they live of the guests who visit the hotel, we are not doing a favor to them. I will never recommend this hotel to anybody. They must invest in training for customer service.

On and off the NJ turnpike access. Easy to get to Manhattan. Maid service knocking and trying to come in before 8 AM, luckily we had the safety lock on, we were still sleep. Second time at this hotel, we arrived and check-in was smooth. Our rooms which were adjoining was great. The staff was able to accommodate 8 people (4 children under 16year) and were helpful in directions. We did have to pay extra, extra for the shuttle driver to take us to Manhattan for our 8:30 AM Grayline tour (shuttle starts at 8:15 AM). But it beat having to walk 4 long blocks up a steep hill to catch a bus. Pick-up shuttle was on time. Did not eat dinner/breakfast this trip, so cannot comment. Beds were very comfortable, double check you sheets, had a couple with stains, which they quickly changed for us. Overall a good hotel especially if want to get away from New York City traffic, but still a short drive away from Manhattan.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while attending Bruce springsteen concerts at Giants stadium .We found the service to be excellant and all the employees of the hotel friendly and curteous, especially in the breakfast cafe in the lobby. Our room was clean and we slept good in the double beds. It only took 5 -10 minutes to drive to Giants stadium from the hotel. The Restaurant in the Hotel was very good..prices were resonable and room service was quick. All in all we had a pleasant stay and plan on returning this coming May 2009 for Bruce Springsteen's concert at the Izod center in the Giants stadium complex.

We are a family of 7. We had joining rooms to accomodate all of us. The hotel was nice inside and the rooms were nice. It was the location of the Hotel that was a little scarey. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their was a 5 minute walk to catch the bus to New York City. The Hotel is in an Industrial area so the walk wasn't too bad to catch the bus. It was alot cheaper to stay here than in New York. I would recommend staying here again.

Granite. Granite floors in room sticky, some bulbs didn't work, very visible stains on furniture chairs, wireless didn't work. Granite floors in room sticky, some bulbs didn't work, very visible stains on furniture chairs, wireless didn't work. Hotel rooms should be clean at any price.

this hotel had be very good and the shuttle service were excellent. however, the staff on the front desk are not that couteous when it comes to guests . But the overall rating for this hotel was that its very satisfactory.

Staff was not helpful; our room keys did not work after the first night. Room was not clean. This hotel was in a pretty awful area. The reviews online led me to believe the area was decent and safe, but it did not appear that way upon arrival. The room was not very clean; there was food on the floor under the dresser from the previous occupants. The drain in the shower was clogged and after showering, the water in the tub would be past my ankles. Our window looked out onto the roof of the hotel, which was littered with garbage. The hotel staff accidentally charged my credit card twice, and I had to repeatedly call their accounting office to get the charges removed. Also, our room keys did not work for some reason after the first night and we had to go down to the front desk to get new ones.

I stayed at North Bergen Days Inn twice. The hotel is nice, but a trip to and from Manhattan can be an issue. When you feel comfortable driving in Manhattan and don't mind tolls and ridiculous parking costs in Manhattan, North Bergen Days Inn is a wonderful place to stay in. But taking a bus is quite inconvenient. The nearest bus station from the hotel is about 10 minutes up-hill walk. When you come back to the hotel from Manhattan, you should be careful, because Port Authority is very confusing, and the NJ transit staffs aren't always kind. I took a long bus (probably I underspecified my destination when I said North Bergen) and I had to wait for a connecting bus for an hour in the middle of nowhere.

Close to the city. Phone, air conditioning did not work, door and sink broken. Not very good.

The Days inn was very comfortable, the room was great, very clean and maintained. Its location to move to NY is not very good, but if you can program schedule of the Shuttle it is a great option, because it will drop you off on the Port Authority Bus Station and pick you up at the Times Square at night. The last shuttle on night is the 10:00 pm, so it would be great if there could be a 12:00 pm shuttle. All the rest was great.

Close to bus station and NYC. You can only access hotel from one side of the divided highway. Good place to stay if you want to be near NYC but cannot afford the hotel prices located right in the city.

The hotel was located in a great place and allowed us to do the things we wanted to at an affordable price.
