The staff was very helpful and the room was clean. The coffee at breakfast was weak and the cereal selection was not great. Other than that it was a great stay for the money.

The bed was very comfortable and the location was great. We were bothered by staff frequently and did not receive the items needed to accommodate everyone after giving them the number of people staying. I thought the location was great. Everything I needed seemed to be right around the corner. I did not like how small the room was. I booked a reservation for 2 queen beds and received 2 full beds. We had 4 people in the room and each day had only 3 towels and 2 rags after telling them there were 4 people in the room. The floor we stayed on was non smoking yet it smelled like smoke. The continental breakfast was cereal, dough nuts and bagels, which is not what I expected. Overall, it was a very poor experience. I have stayed in a Days Inn before and never had problems, only this one did I have poor service and was not satisfied.

Hotel staff is very nice. Hotel is located close to several restaurants and a Wal-mart which was convenient since I forgot to pack a few things. The room was set up nice and clean.

The cigarette smoke odor on the third floor is overwhelming. The hotel was clean. But a bit run down.

There are plenty of other hotels in Mt Vernon and I would suggest any besides this one. We booked our trip with online travel website and paid online. Then as we checked in the lady at the desk insisted that we issue a credit card. After I discovered that we had actually paid twice I brought it to the managers attention and he said he would take care of it. After finding out he never took care of it and the charge remained on my credit card I called to straighten things out and the lady on the other end was extremely rude and interupted me several times before saying she would talk to the manager about it. Room quality was sub-standard. We requested a King room and they ran out so they gave us a "King Suite" which was no more than a King room with a couch. The room just looked like someone had a party in it the night before. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Lobby and breakfast area were small and cramped. The room was large and comfortable. The bath area was clean and tidy with enough linens. However, the breakfast area was small and had little to offer even at 7:00am. The lobby had a flat screenTV with several easy chairs if you wanted to sit there and watch plus there was a computer terminal. There was easy access from I-57 with plenty of restaurants nearby.

NA. The shower was very slick and the carpet was very dirty. They allowed pets and I am not sure I would have chose that hotel if I had known there were going to be dogs walking around the lobby while I was eating breakfast. I did love the fact that there were 4 pillows on each bed though. Kudos to that one Days Inn.

The Days Inn Mount Vernon was clean and quiet with high-speed Internet access. My room included both a refrigerator and a microwave oven, and was comfortably quiet despite the high traffic in the area. The front desk clerk brought a network cable to my room rather than requiring me to put my shoes back on and go back to the front of the establishment. He was friendly and accommodating, allowing me to rest from my travels rather than deal with paperwork or excessive walking around. This is a good place for the single traveler or for families. The parking lot is large and protected from general traffic, and the amenities should satisfy the needs of families even with small children.

Decent value and good location. Single 2 pot toaster for continental breakfast is inadequate. Clean, good value hotel, continental breakfast only fair, with a slow, single 2 slot toaster.

Location. Not maintained; walls dirty and needing repair, A/C needs service. Unfortunately we reserved for 4 days and nights without seeing the facility. All other hotels nearby were full so we could not go to another hotel. Bathroom door had a hole in it, entry door was sloppily repaired from what appeared to be forced entry (maybe not), ceiling had water damage but was not repaired adequately. Repairs seemed to be done someone without experience.
