Near the highway, friendly staff and rooms were pretty big. The hotel was pretty decent for the price, free internet, a pool and spa. The rooms were pretty big, clean, kind of worn looking but the bathrooms looked a little more modern than the sleeping area.

We stayed at the Days Inn because there aren't a lot of choices in Northfield VT.. Very sad decision. Front desk was very unprofessional, it was like a hunting lodge. Seemed like they had their own family members watching tv, drinking beer and smoking. What an impression! The rooms smelled of smoke and mildew, bathrooms were uncleaned and full of hair, carpeting was wet as if something leaked terribly, they gave us a room underneath the stair way! Yikes all night long people running up & down the stairs speaking as if they were at their own homes; I would highly recommend you all drive the extra 40 min to stay at a Merriot or hampton Inn where you know what your getting.. Very dissappointed!

Staff seemed very pleasant, room was cleaned promptly. The very reasonable price should have put me on alert. The bathroom was in need of help, with no fan it made it very difficult for two people to get ready. Faucet was loose on the sink, the single light only worked if you banged on it, maybe!! Water temperature was very inconsistant. Was it clean ? yes and towels replaced as needed ? yes. Light over one of the beds only worked on ?? even numbered days ??? T.V. was miniscule, a 19" portable would have been an improvement. Did we enjoy our sightseeing stay ? yes. Would we return ? To the area, yes. To the hotel, no. Breakfast was very good and well worth the price paid. Sorry Days Inn but this just doesn't live up to todays standards...

Good price - convenient to location we were visiting. TV remote did not work - TV too small for room. Mirror in bathroom too low. Electrical outlet in bathroom did not work. We were looking for an inexpensive hotel to spend the night at while on a college visit. The hotel met our expectations.

At check in the room was clean, however the toilet was clogged and was never properly fixed. There was little or NO hot water for our room. The cleaning staff leaves early on Saturday. The manager is extreemly rude and no help at all. I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

other reviews scared me. We had a great time. Clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and pool. Nice staff.

Very clean and friendly. Outlets were strange for lights and TV. Clean and neat, not the nicest decor but worked well for location near Montpelier.

The last time any item was cleaned or upgraded in the Barre Days Inn, was the same year of the season premier of the Partridge Family. Buy a tent and stay at a local camp ground if no other hotel is available."

Friendly staff at the front desk. Very personable. No staff in the office after 11:00pm. My stay was brief. However; my daughter had been there the week prior. Staff remembered her and was extremely friendly. There were only smoking rooms available. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room. It did not smell like a smoking room.

Close to Bear. Charged for the Internet. This hotel, more like a motel, was small and the staff was nice. The room was showing its age. It was furnished cheaply but the bed was comfortable. It was .7 miles to town and next to a car wash which was good. A small food store was .4 miles away. Bare is a small city by any standards but it was clean and the people were nice. Not a place that I would spend a week but that is just me, I like lakes.

"The service was good but, the hotel was extremely run-down and felt dirty. The A/C rattled, the bed mattress was from 1970, the pool needed to be cleaned and I won't even mention the bathroom. It was overpriced for what it was."

"overpriced, workers in pool, dirty room-pubic hair in bathroom sink-beds extremly outdated, place was half painted, poor lighting at indoor pool, office people at check-in looked like homeless people-they lived & drank beer all night."
