The hotel is clean, quiet, with air-conditioned rooms, and on one of the best Maui beaches. The hotel restaurant, Sorrento's, is known to be first-class, and is a great place to watch the sun set. But the beach location in general is great for sunsets and palm-tree picture-perfect postcards. You can walk a mile or more down the white sand beach for exercise and scenery. Dining establishments are plentiful in the nearby 1-3mi area. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast offered at the hotel, but you can walk to the hotel next door for breakfast or drive a mile or so to Denny's for an economical breakfast. The room-only (I think there are suites also offered) booking that I had, yields a very small room (adequate for me) with a tv, fridge, microwave, and dinette table. Both the refrigerator and microwave oven are very good additions to the room amenities. The bathroom shower area could use a light near it (shower was dark) and there is no wall switch near the door for turning on a light when you first enter the room, requiring you to leave a light on if you go out at night. Although I had the room to myself, the drawers in the dresser would barely hold half of my clothes for a one-week stay. So you need to be prepared to live partially out of your suitcase. If there are two people in the room size that I was in, it will be extremely tight for drawer space. The exercise room has a bicycle and treadmill (and some weights too I think). I just used the treadmill, and it was a Pro-form model in very good condition, just like I have at home--perfect. The hotel has internet access via a computer in the office that is part of your daily amenity fee the hotel adds to your bill (covers hotel parking, internet, two bottles of water in room/day). I don't know what and if there are wireless internet connections available. Cell phones seem to work fine in the area. Overall, the hotel met my expectations for price, location, and cleanliness. The location of the hotel unfortunately is

Grounds were kept very clean. Beach access. Price. Smallness of room. Nothing close by.

Cute and clean. Very small. Bed was comfortable. No pool or restaurant.

This is one of my most favorite hotels on Maui. It is situated on THE BEST beach on the entire island, frequented by locals and some lucky tourists alike. Ya, the rooms are small, but how much room does one need for sleeping? They are impeccably clean and decorated very nicely. Whatever you do do not turn on your AC at night! Open those windows and let the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves soothe you! I love having a small refridgerator, and the laundry facility is perfect. I found the staff accomodating and friendly, as well. The owner has just replaced all of the mattresses with some new-fangled VERY COMFORTABLE ones. I love this place!

Nice beach. Small rooms, bad service. Small rooms, indifference from staff. It didn't seem like they cared I was a guest. I have stayed at other Best Western hotels and have been very happy. I was extremely disappointed. Poor service, tiny closets that they pass off for rooms, no amenities like beach chairs for guests, outdoor shower was under construction so couldn't rinse the beach off my feet. The only good thing is that they provided beach towels and had complimentary usage of internet.

The room we were in was tiny, it felt like we were in a closet. No views, small window. The beach was steps away though. There is a restaurant that shares the same parking and when we came back to our room there were no parking spaces left. We had to park in the dark bumpy lot next door.

Comfortable bed. Charged additional fees. Comfortable beds, extremely small rooms, clean, close to beach and cheap. Good for night or two between other places however if you have to spend any time in room, too small. No pool.

This hotel was over priced for what you received. The rooms are small, the bed is uncomfortable. The sink backed up and they did not fix it. The only good thing is that was free internet if you brought your laptop. The stair to the room is too narrow. The parking lot is cramped."

Bed was very comfortable. Room had microwave, small frig and a coffee maker. Room was small. The hotel was clean, bed comfortable and convenient to the area restaurants. It was a good place for a one or two night stay.

Great location steps from a nice beach. Good to be on ocean side of Kihei Road, which is very congested. Good price for 2 adjoining rooms with 2 bathrooms. However, rooms are noisy and very cramped with no circulation, so everything stayed damp. Luckily we brought our own beach towels, because EVERY time we checked at the front desk they were out. Valet parkers for the restaurant used up all the parking, so paying guests had to park in overflow parking. Annoying because they weren't at all nice about it. Overall: good location but bad service.

Convenient location to where we had to be for a wedding. Tiny rooms, no pool. The place was OK. I had read previously that the rooms were tiny, so it wasn't a big surprise. We were just there for 2 nights for a wedding in Wailea. It suited our purposes. The place was clean.

Nice location for a decent price, but I definitely looking for something better next time. Bathroom is so tiny and no room for soap and shampoo. Roaches came out at night. Commode got clogged, and no room service available, I had to borrow the plunger and cleared it. Water from AC spills and runs constantly in front of room's door.

Small and friendly with spectacular beach. Adjoining door carried sound. This hotel was very clean, small but adequate and felt like old Hawaii. We enjoyed that it wasn't a resort but rather a down home small hotel. The beach was lovely and the snorkeling right out front amazing. We even could hear the whales singing!

The location is perfect. The standard room is very small and the walls are thin. Enjoyed our stay there. The location couldn't get any better. Rooms are small and the walls are thin, so you cross your fingers for good and considerate neighbors.

The beach is beautiful. The staff is very accommodating. It is a great hotel. I wish they would allow the lawn chairs to be on the actual beach. I am sure there is a reason they are not because people take them, etc. If you are a traveler who does not stay in their room all the time, then this is the hotel to stay in. It is clean, the staff are great, the beach is beautiful, and it is a great place. The rooms are small but laid out very effectively.

Beds, rooms like little cabanas. All rooms only come with one queen size bed. Had to get 2 to accommodate our family. Right on beach. Rooms were small but sufficient for vacation, spent most of time out running around. Nicely decorated, Hawaiian style.

The beach is great. The room is small. Great beach. Small rooms. No choice of two beds or a king bed. Only one queen bed per room. Hotel and location was okay. Unimpressive rooms, confused staff (but that could have been just a new guy or something).

Excellent staff and good location. Rooms were small and somewhat confined. We were very impressed with the staff. They went above and beyond our expectations. Beach towels were provided free of charge and they even let us have a really late check-out since our flight was in the evening. Also they had the most comfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept on.

Very thin walls and floors - you can hear your neighbors. The complimentary continental breakfast was nice, but it was only from 8:30-9:30. This was way too late for a visitor who was only on Maui for two days and wanted to get out sightseeing much earlier in the morning.

Location. Small room. Great location for those wanting to be on beach and spending little time in rooms. Price was excellent. Room on the very small side. Uses AC window units. Staff very nice, and beach is awesome. Wailea location at two figures cost is pretty good.
