Stayed here for 2 nights, and the room was comfortable enough, however, if there was one downside to the hotel, it is in bad need of a facelift. The elevator isfrightening. The search engine provided me with this hotel when I entered in the words ""jacuzzi tub" and this hotel DOES NOT have jacuzzi tubs, what it DOES have is a sauna room on the top floor. This is not what I wanted, but other than that the room was fine. WARNING, if you are (as I am) a person who drinks bottled water, they DO NOT sell bottled water in their vending machines. And if you ask the night clerk, he will tell you that there is a 24 hour CVS Pharmacy 2 blocks down the road but he mustve not learned how to count as it is 4 blocks 1 way, but it is a nice walk at 3 in the morning!

The staff was very rude. The beds were hard. The part of Santa Monica it is in is not safe. There is little or no security ( windows are not secure, front door, parking area all not secure). There was mold in the grout of the bathroom tile. The paint is peeling off the walls. The beadspreads looked as they have never been washed let alone replaced in 20 or more years.

It was very pleasant

In 7 nights we stayed in 4 hotels. This was the best. The room and bathroom was spacious. The only downfall was the hard mattress. Everything was close by. I would stay here again.

The hotel claims to be 1 mile from the ocean it is 3 miles from the beach. It was quite clean but there were really no amenities as the spa had been turned into a roof garden with plastic plants! No one used the exercise equipment as it is in the hallway near the elevator. The continental breakfast consists of some very cheap pastries and bad coffee. The fruit bowl is under the table not visible so I was not all that impressed for the price.

wanted to stay close to relatives, ended up staying one night and then "moving" in with wife's sister. Hotel was dated.... tile loose in bathroom, clogged shower drain. Headboard detached from bed and nailed to wall. Flourescent lighting. Not at all a nice place to stay. Staff was helpful, but not enough to make this a good enough place to stay.

Safe, clean, reasonable price, friendly service, all of Santa Monica within a short drive, and easy access to freeways, airport. I have spent several weeks here as my family moves out to CA. There is nothing fancy here, and the public areas are a bit worn, but inside the rooms everything is clean and ship-shape in a regulation 2-star environment. Modest residential neighborhood with all the necessities of life within a short drive.

This hotel was quite interesting upon ariving from the outside. Looking at a pastel blue, purple, green building, it was the least you would expect for a Santa Monica hotel. The room was clean, but had a few stains on the mattress and comforter. The shower did not drain well, so by the end of showering you were wading in a pool of soapy filth. The continental breakfast was nothing spectacular- couple of dainishes and some cereal and fruit.
