I didn't like this hotel because there was no parking space. This hotel is cheap and Ikey but there was no parking space andI had hard time to find the space which was at the road soI could not sleep all night.

I had an excellent experience in this hotel, located about a block from the 7 train. The staff; desk clerk, breakfast bar restocker, and housekeepers were all very nice and super helpful. The room itself was great. I read a review talking about the train noise, the train is right next to the hotel so that might be an issue. But honestly, I barely noticed it when I was awake and didn't notice it all when I was asleep. The breakfast bar is pastries/bagels, coffee/tea, apples, juices, cold cereal, and milk. LaGuardia College is next door and on the weekdays there are food carts outside. There is also a resteraunt across the street(Seattle Cafe). There is a 7/11 next door. I cannot think of anything negative to say about the whole place. Nice to go on a vacation and not have the burden of finding a good room be an issue.

The Location was great because it was two blocks away from the subway. If you are bringing a car I must admit the parking lot seems very small but great for people taking the subway constantly. They had a wonderful staff and they had our room nice and clean every time we got back. The breakfast was better than most places that offer continental breakfasts nice array of muffins and other bakery goods. The seating area was a bit small but we would just head back to our room anyway once we grabbed some items to eat. The fitness room only had a treadmill and workout bike machine if you really want to work out during your trip. We used our room to sleep and rest from our long days sightseeing in NY. You do have the subway near the hotel but we never heard it pass because we were always dead asleep. Not that many restaurants near the hotel so we mostly ate in NY but there is a corner store and you are provided with a mini refrigerator to store whatever you like. Overall great stay and we will stay there again!!!

the hotel is fine, rooms are small but clean. near the 7 line that goes into the city. i have stayed at two other hotels in the same neighborhood several times in the past and this hotel is the only one that will not check your bags for the day after you check out, i ended up dragging my bags around manhattan all afternoon.

The staff was friendly andI would stay again. Parking. Nice place to stay for a few days, everyone was friendly and nice. It would have been better on my list if it wasn't for the parking.

My son and I stayed at the Days Inn in Long Island City for 4 days in early December. The hotel was definitely a great value, and access to Manhattan was pretty easy. The hotel is nothing fancy--a typical, albeit small, Days Inn--but it was fine, and I would stay there again. I was mostly pleased with the staff. The front desk folks were helpful--they printed out our boarding pass for our return plane trip, and held our luggage for us (free of charge) on our last day. The young man in charge of the breakfast area did have to be told most mornings when we ran out of bagels, coffee, or spoons--I got the impression he'd rather those things materialized on their own. The subway stop is a 5-minute walk (it's closer as the crow flies, but the busy streets require walking around the intersection and crossing 4-5 streets on crosswalks). The closest subway stop (33rd Street on the 7 line) has 3 steep flights of stairs, so be aware of that if you are taking the subway to the airport with your luggage, or if you are hauling purchases back to your hotel.
