Clean, but old. Needed to be remodeled and modernized. In the middle of nowhere. Old and in need of a remodel. The fridge in the room did not work either.

The hotel manager happily cleared up a misunderstanding about a reservation, and he even upgraded my room at no charge for the inconvenience. The rooms are spacious and the bed was firm and comfortable. Breakfast was also a nice experience, and cereal (raisin bran), bagels, juice, and coffee were all fresh. Overall, a great value and I highly recommend this hotel. Glad I stayed there and would do so again.

Just used the room for sleeping. A little expensive for an average older motel. Adequate.

It had two TV's nice sitting area. The hotel had a smell. Over all it was a nice and pleasant stay. It offered beautiful views of the surrounding mountain.

We've stayed here 6 times visiting our son At VMI.. The staff are friendly, courteous, eager to please, and make every attempt to help make your stay a great one. We don't need an expensive hotel to stay in. We want a clean facility, staff available to assist us if needed, and a good location. This hotel covers all of this quite well. We will be staying here as much as possible while visiting our son over the next four years. We feel like we are visiting friends at the Days Inn as well as our son. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Days Inn in Lexington, VA needs some repair. The pull on the dresser drawer was broken so the the drawer could not be opened. There were a few ceiling tiles needing repair. the bedspread had a hole in the corner and should be replaced or fixed. The window was very dirty, in need of a good cleaning. The door to the room sticks making it difficult to open and close the door. Otherwise the room was ok, the staff was helpful and friendly, the location very nice with a beautiful view.

This was my second stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and my families' needs. If you want a friendly place to stay with a price that won't bust your budget, look no further. Thanks for an enjoyable, hassle-free stay. I will stay here again.

The room was set up wierd. Tv was kinda in the hallway with a straight back chair right in front of it. Shower head was made for someone 5' tall or shorter. Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and that includes my bunk in the Army. Felt like I was sleeping on the side of a hill and was going to roll out of the bed.

Great place to stay. Close to our destination. Very convenient. Very competitively priced. Great office help always available. Lots of parking. Good security views. Friendly, helpful, and gracious attendants. Good breakfast. We had a great time and the hotel was a life-saver for us. Thanks so much.!!

"We quickly found out that there were TWO Days Inns in Lexington. I was under the impression, when I booked the room, that it was the first one we went to. Unfortunately, it was the one on West Midland Trail. It had mildew on the bathroom tiles, the ceiling, the tiles were broken, the smoke alarm went off if we had the heat/fan running longer than 10 minutes, it was to have a microwave and didn't, and was just plain dirty. Needless to say, we will NEVER go back there again. DEFINATELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!!!"

"cheapest hotel in lexington! however, if you're visiting students and VMI (or Washington and Lee)and plan on having visitors this is not the place...ABSOLUTELY NO VISITORS ALLOWED!! The guy actually charged me more for having a visitor! The snack machine was out of date and had some weird stuff in it but there's a gas station right down the road for your snacking needs. Otherwise, it's a nice place to stay."

"This is the ONLY place I stay when visiting Lexington! Only a couple of minutes from VMI, as well as Washington & Lee, it is nestled in the mountains, away from the noisy interstate highway. What sets this motel apart from all the others is THE STAFF! They are friendly and helpful from the moment you check-in. Throughout your stay, the staff do whatever they can to assist you. I look forward to staying at the Days Inn Keydet General on West Midland Trail .It is the perfect motel for family and friends of VMI and Washington & Lee to stay."

"We stopped here on a road trip down to NC, and had an enjoyable time. Located just a few miles from route 81, this offers a quiet, peaceful night's sleep in a safe, secure location. The room was clean and comfortable, complete with TV, refrigerator, and AC. Owned by a charming, and very helpful couple. Reasonably priced, travel website discount offered. I would definitely stay here again. Continental breakfast included!"
