the staff was acting like we were putting them out..no towels in room after cleaning, did not inform us of activities that were included ... I booked this trip in February requesting 2 rooms side by side (they were on different floors)...they show a very attractive sandy beach right in front of the hotel in the brochure...when in fact it is the parking lot for the Arnold Ferry Line..the beach is very small strip shared by the hotel next door..the beach was quite a walk and had bird poop all over the tables...rickety chairs...the staff was extremley slow and not curtious...never cleaned rooms until after 3:00 and then left me no linens for the bathroom at all..(had to call several times to even get any at all...finally came at around 7:00 pm.. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I feel I was deceived by saying there was a sandy beach in front and there was not....

Good location, good breakfast. Gym was a small closed room.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to help us find activities to do in the area. Our "hats are off" to them.

I called the motel in advance to be sure the pool was heated, indoor and working and was told yes. We had to walk in the cold to another motel to use their pool and about 2 blocks to use the one with the waterpark. There was no breakfast so every morning I had to get my two grandaughters up and take them out in the cold to another motel where we were to have our breakfast. It was a long walk for a two year old. The toilet only worked part of the time so we had to open the lid and pull the chain to flush it. The room was upstairs with no elevator just stairs so I had to carry the two year old along with her stroller every time we walked to the room. The playground they advertised was just a slide and one ride on horse. The rope climb to the slide was rotted so therefore dangerous and the picnic tables were stacked against it. Would never stay there again. The indoor outdoor carpeting on the stairs leading up to our room was very frayed and ripped making it really hard for two children to navigate without catching their shoes in it and falling.

The location was ideal. We had a view of Lake Huron and could walk to the ferry for our trip to Mackinac Island. The hotel wasokay - no frills - but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was easy to find and for the price was just fine. The staff was helpful. After seeing our room - I called the front desk and asked if we could move to a room with a view of Lake Huron. She was very pleasant and moved us to a room with a great view. Breakfast is provided but at another hotel just down the street - which was really fine. We were guests there the first week of May - before the real tourist season begins. They were preparing the pool for the upcoming season so it was not open for use. Again, for the price we got through Priceline - we were not disappointed. We would stay there again.

I read these reviews before beginning my search for a hotel, and man, I should have paid attention!! As a 20 year-veteran tourist of Mackinaw City, I will not return to this hotel. As soon as we walked into our room, I could tell one of the matress was broken, the bed was higher on one end than the other. There was a large gap under the exterior door where the sunlight came thru, and the bathroom had a large window with no screen for ventilation that all the bugs entered thru. The breakfast was a joke, frozen waffles and slices of white bread... not my idea of a continential breakfast. No one asked us how our stay was when we checked out, so here I am, letting everyone know. Location is nice being so close to the Mackinaw Crossings and downtown. Exterior of the hotel is great, but don't judge a "hotel" by it's cover. If this was the last place available, I would go to St. Igance instead.

The room had a damp spot by the door, approx. 3 feet in diameter. Other than that, everything was fine.

Nothing. Everything. It's pretty cheap dirty hotel. However, the price is ok comparing to other hotel.

Recomend that you do not stay. The website says they have a hot breakfast, don't believe it. The only hot item is a frozen waffle that you must place in the toaster to heat up, very poor breakfast, if you like a apple, they have it. The outside of the hotel looks great, but once inside you find a room in much need of updating, wallpaper is coming off at the seams, toilet flushed slow, no security chain on door, room needed cleaning when we arrived, finally cleaned on 3 day. This is a lake view only hotel NO Beach so if your plan is to be on the beach don't stay here. Good location to walk to boats and downtown 8 blocks away. Not worth the money. Due to the poor service and dirty room we checked out a day early. Don't spoil your vacation by staying at this motel. Each room has a checklist of items that must be accounted for or you will be charged for them, such as towels, etc. No comment on the pool we did not use.

Room was fine. There was a mix-up about the price you quoted and the price they said they received from you. Shower turned very very hot while showering. Not good.

This Hotel was better in contrast of all cost!

The rooms provided were clean, but location very poor. Two rooms for a family that were on opposite sides of the hotel. One of the rooms was over the bar so loud music played until 2:00 AM. Towels were hard to find. They ran out of them on the second night and the room towels had to be used for the pool. The free breakfast was poor. They ran out of most items and the staff was not pleasant.

The Days Inn at Mackinaw City was very easy to locate and we were greeted by a nice friendly check in staff...We went to our room and found everything that enabled us to have a nice overnight stay....There was a nice enclosed pool and hot tub available....It was a winner and would be most happy to stay there again.

Good stay. 3 miles off the interstate, address inaccurate. Okay, I would stay there again, restaurant modestly priced.

Great Place to stay, never had a problem with guest service, in fact the entire staff was friendly and accomodating the entire time, and we had a lot of questions!! Stayed in a beautiful lakeview room that was clean and comfortable. You could tell the pillows were new, I slept like a baby.

The Days Inn in Mackinaw City was very accomodating & was just a walk away to the ferry's to go over to Mackinaw Island. As an added surprise we also received a wonderful buffet breakfast in the morning. Definately served our purpose for our stay & was very reasonable. Would definately stay again.

Location. Dirty pool and hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful but there was scum/mold growing around the edges of the hot tub and the pool.

The Days Inn Mackinaw City was very quiet and relaxing. You could not hear the noise outside. It was nicely located. They had the best breakfast food and help that I've seen at a hotel in a long time.

The location. Mattress and box spring on the beds were torn. The hotel is well located to Downtown. Walking or biking not a problem. The staff at the hotel was not happy that we booked with you, they went out of their was to make a point, i.e. we requested a non smoking room and we were placed in a smoking room and they refused to move us even though they had vacancies.
Date of Stay:

The hotel seemed clean and had a decent view. We didn't get a chance to check the pool area. The pool seemed a bit far from our room. The pool area is detatched from the main building which was on the other side from our room so we didn't get to check out. Our main focus was cleaniness which it was very clean and spacious rooms. I would recommend.
